In May 2026 I Purchased my fourth travel trailer from Camping World French Camp California, 2026 Coleman Keystone 13B. I was never originally a fan of Camping World as a whole, most locations don't have very good reviews but I found the perfect trailer for me at the French camp location and thoroughly enjoyed working with the staff. Julian, Adam, Brittney, Manny, Christopher and Alyssa went above and beyond, they were professional and transparent, no games, no hassle. There was a noticeable blem on my trailer door, Adam made it right, it was a great experience from beginning to end. They re-instilled my faith in Camping World! To be honest I can't even tell what belongs to customers and what is for sale. Where it's OK to park and where it's not. Some guy that looks like he should be retired on a golf course somewhere pulled and give me some crap about parking in the wrong spot, but nothing is labeled as parking or not parking the only thing it says is it's a dead end road. Overall just feels kind of depressing to be in there and I felt bad for the guy working there. read more

Good day I'm really going to keep this post real. I know that being a salesperson on commission is a struggle. I know it's a tough gig. But I'm going to say is you as a consumer please do your research, don't settle on one place or one source . Call several times and speak to different people . There is nothing I as a 60 yo man hate more than a liar and high pressure. Also don't shove a $2000 prep fee on me and cover it in honey . You use low prices to bring people in and the $11000 RV is Now $1300. Just say $13000 . Also don't bait and switch people then try to pressure them into buying . Consumers do your research the more you know about what you want the better decision can be made ! The unit I wanted was miraculously no longer available, when I mentioned that the bathroom was smaller than any commercial jet id ever been on I was told " you never use your bathroom you use the facilities at the campground you visit " taking into consideration that my trip was across the country and I was stopping overnight more than 1 time and wanted to be able to test , make lunch and poop read more

The absolute worst buying experience I've ever had. They promise you the world until it's time to sign the papers, and then when you remind them of what they had agreed to they call you a liar among other derogatory comments. I was dealing with Dwane, the sales manager as he like to tell me that every opportunity that arose. Very argumentative when called out and just a flat out liar. The worst company. I am kicking myself for purchasing from them in the first place. We bought in August and still have yet to be able to use our trailer because they are holding it for a repair. One of the technicians initially caused damage to our wallpaper just after we had purchased it and they have had no serious desire to fix it, making minimal half assed effort to do so. We have had to call them everyday for several months to get updates. When they finally told us it was a fix they potentially couldn't do all they offered us was $250 store credit. NOT WORTH purchasing from them and/or buying their warranty. Save yourself the headache. read more

I purchased a used travel trailer from Camping World in Vacaville in March of 2023 . I have had nothing but trouble with the travel trailer. When Camping World opened up the French Camp location, I was thrilled, I no longer had to take my trailer to Vacaville! Now the thrill is gone. I have had to take my trailer into the French Camp location to "fix issues" that should have been fixed prior to my taking possession of the trailer. First issues were the black tank sensor didn't work and the refrigerator door wasn't properly adjusted. The issue with the sensor was the wire in the black water tank was not connected to the panel. The refrigerator door was not properly adjusted. On my first trip when I arrived at my destination the entire contents of the refrigerator were all over the floor! The next camping season we began to experience issues with the heater. I ended up taking my trailer in at least three (3) times to get the heater fixed. Each time I was told that a wire was loose. Each and every time, they assured me that the issue was resolved. I had to pay my extended warranty co-pay for something that should have been fixed correctly the first time. I took my trailer back to Camping World in March of 2025 to get the heater fixed again. The service advisor assured me that the issue was resolved and I should not have any issues. I went camping last week and on a rather cool mountain morning I tried to turn my heater on. I wasn't surprised when the heater wouldn't ignite. Now my trailer is no longer covered by my warranty. So if I want to get my heater fixed, I'll have to pay for something that should have been fixed the first time. If I take the trailer in for the fifth time to fix the heater, I'll be responsible for the entire repair cost. read more

A dishonest and predatory experience. I wanted to document everything so others could be cautious and warned. Good luck! Arrived on a Sunday looking for a used camper as our first RV. Went from 30k to Price finally agreed on was $22k out the door. They wanted us to put $7500 down. We were also told that we would have to wait a week because that was the only time they had available for their financing guy. We were scheduled to meet back there the following Saturday. We were told that there is a $3,000 "platinum inspection fee" to get our camper ready. We Get a call on Wednesday that states their bank will only give us a $10k loan and we need to put down $4000 more cash for the sale which would be $11,500 now upfront. We say no thanks and are ok walking away. The store manager Larry then offers a $3k discount on the price. So the terms that I explicitly stated multiple times to understand correctly were $8500 cash down total and $10k loan. We had already paid $5k for them to start getting the camper ready. I spoke with store manager Larry on Friday to make sure we were all on the same page. We show up Saturday at 2:30pm. We get there and are told that the weight distribution hitch that was promised wouldn't be in until Tuesday and we could pick up trailer then but to do all the financing and pay now. I said no, I can come back in on Tuesday when it's all ready to go and sign the deal. I also told them it was lousy they pulling this on us when he knew yesterday the trailer wasn't ready. Then magically they find the right hitch sitting in the middle of their store floor and starts installing. While the guy is installing the hitch, we are given a clip board to write down problems we see with the camper and then given a tour to go over everything inside and outside. We walk over to camper where locks aren't locking, lights don't work, stabilizer jack isn't coming down, bathroom fan is broken. And that's just the stuff we noticed and have no camper experience. But wait... we paid $3,000 for a "platinum inspection". The floor wasn't even swept. In all 7 things that caught our eye were written down. So nothing was done for this camper until we got there, don't pay the "inspection fee". They took $3k off the list price and pretended to insert this fee instead. All the money is going to the same place, they are just trying to make you feel justified when it's just a tactic for them to keep $3k more. From 2:30-3:30 was our inspection and the guy who walked through the camper with us was very helpful. 3:30 they sat us in a room with a bottle of water and some cookies. We waited and At 5pm I was now getting frustrated. They gave me excuse it was because we had changed our pickup time. At 5:30pm I told them that we were going home. Then the manager said that he would have the finance guy come talk to us now. As we are being walked to finance office we see a couple come out and heard the finance guy tell manger that they decided not to take it. So another dissatisfied customer. We get in the room and he starts by saying "good news we got your loan approved for $14000 and it's $220 a month for 15 years. That price includes our $4,000 top tier warranty which is good for 4 years." Huh We get up and walk out. The store manager comes out and asks what happened. I'm upfront with both guys and tell them that they tried to pull a bait and switch and that it's dishonest. The finance guy is continuing to argue. Then he finally says "but i'll do whatever the store manager says". So the manager says "give it to them for the terms we agreed on". Now that everyone is on the same page and hands are shook to the agreement I decide to move forward. It's now after 6:30pm. So we walk back into finance room and they have completed the paperwork wrong So we couldn't even sign paperwork which means we couldn't even take camper that day if we wanted to. My experience at Camping World French Camp location was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I purchased a camper and paid $2,000 for their "Get Ready" package, on a 12K camper which was supposed to ensure the unit was fully inspected, cleaned, and ready for immediate use. What I received was the opposite: Multiple issues that should have been addressed before delivery Poor communication and lack of follow-through from staff GM Larry that lied and said he never authorized an axel to be replaced. Minimal effort to resolve problems after they were brought to their attention I expected a reputable company like Camping World to deliver on its promises, but instead I received a product that was far from "ready" and customer service that showed little concern for making things right. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend them to anyone who values honesty, attention to detail, and good customer service. If you decide to try the French Camp location make sure you get it all in writing and notarized. read more

My family and I bought a brand new trailer from here in June with the hopes of spending the summer camping away! Unfortunately on our very first trip the fridge and the tv weren't working and a bunch of food went wasted and we returned after only one night because of it. We did a walk through when buying and the service guy had said something along the lines of, "it's not cold because we just turned it on but the lights on so it works" when showing us the fridge and we just took his word for it(our mistake). Called Camping World and they had us bring the trailer in for service. We let 3 weeks pass without hearing anything before calling for an update, spoke to Stacee B. and boy could she use some retraining on customer service to say the least. Long story short, Camping World sold us a brand new trailer that had multiple issues and didn't communicate nor expedite any of the steps they were taking to fix it for us. Instead just blamed the manufacturer when we called in for our own updates. We finally picked it up today, fingers crossed it works this time because they didn't have it plugged in to show us. I guess we're just supposed to take their word for it? Because that's what got us here in the first place! Make it make sense. To add, schools back in session so there's the whole summer. And the cherry on top is the trailer is FILTHY. Couldn't even have it cleaned for us? We dropped it off clean, after using it ONE night. Zero stars if I could. read more

Tried to order a generator online and got an error message. 5 minutes later got an email from credit card indicating an item was purchased 5 times and credit card is now maxed out. Called camping world customer service and they said there 5 pending purchases that failed to go through. They told me I had to wait 2 to 5 business days to get my $9,000 back from them. Zero Stars Camping world has had our rig longer than we have. (FUEL 287) We are beyond upset and don't understand why this situation is happening with our toy hauler. We have been without our rig for over 16 months and still no work has been done. All of our wallpaper has lifted, bubbled and some have fallen off (everywhere). It has a fresh water tank leak. The front decal was torn and promised to be replaced when we bought it. The bathroom slide door is not hung correctly. This is on top of the stuff they did fix prior, that took months to complete, (porch light/fuel pump board/electrical issue with generator/kitchen sink drain pipes and leaking water inlet/fire extinguisher bracket/electronic bed curtain frame coming out of ceiling) They are now blaming each other for the delay. So my advice is to stay away from Heartland and Camping World. I will update this as things go. I have many pictures as well, that I may post. REALLY hope this hasn't happened to anyone else. read more

We have always appreciated the service we received from here until recently. We do regularly receive maintenance on our fifth wheel at this location. Unfortunately, most of the staff that we used to deal with is no longer working here. Steven in the service department has been extremely difficult to communicate with and have any issues resolved. The only way to get him to respond, was to threaten to call his management, which he then responded with terribly and proceeded to hang up the phone. Joseph, the service manager was no better and did not offer us a proper resolution and when asked for a refund, they hesitated and made it difficult to do so. Would not recommend bringing your RV here for any type of service until they can clean up their staff. read more

So highly disappointed and unsatisfied with the loan process. When asked how much the warranty was going to cost, I was told it's $28 more a month so $6720. My fault for trusting what the finance person was telling me without looking at the numbers on the contract. Come to find out the warranty he sold us was actually 5 different things totalling $19k!!!! That is quite different then what was told to us. Before we even drove the motorhome away I asked if we could cancel all the extras and was told no, that since it's already been submitted to the bank I have to wait to cancel the extras. It has now been over 20 days. Our trade still isn't paid off and I have reached out twice to get more information to cancel our items to receive a refund and have not gotten it taken care of yet. This is alot of money to be out! Do not trust finance. They will tell you one thing and it's not even true, all they want is to make as much money off you as they can. Be smarter than me and go over the contract line by line before signing. read more

She offered a sales representative and we declined stating we were just looking and shopping around and her immediate response was (with attitude) "well good luck finding the unit you're looking for". To make a longer story short we found the unit we were looking for and had a deal in place and when we declined the "camp ready package" (3,000$) cost they were supper aggressive in trying to force us to get the package and even gave us discount down to 1,500 then 1,200 and when we said we didn't want it that we would get everything we needed ourselves they canceled the deal and said "no sale". We walked away and went to Best RV in Turlock and had a great experience and bought what we wanted with no hassle. read more

When I dropped off my RV, she was incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond to address all my concerns. Stacee even took the time to take photos and thoroughly inspect every aspect of the vehicle with me. I was impressed by her dedication. Throughout the process, Stacee kept me informed with weekly updates on the status of my RV. The efficiency of their service department was remarkable - my RV was only there for three days, with all necessary parts already on order. I am delighted with the results and the overall experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Camping World to all my friends and family for both RV servicing and purchases. They put our trailer on consignment and falsely told us they don't mark it up that much, they make their money by loans, insurance, etc. However, when we looked up our trailer on their website it was marked up $12k. There was no communication from them it took us several phones calls to them to even get a response. Very poor Customer Service!! read more

Was looking for a window screen for my 2021 Cougar trailer. I had called CW in June and inquired about one. The lady I spoke with in the parts department said they were swamped and would it be alright if she called me back later. I said that was fine, gave her my name and phone number. After waiting 2 months for a return call, I called again. This time I was told the guy who usually orders the OEM parts was out to lunch and to leave my name and number on his voicemail. My message included my name and number at the beginning, then at the end of the message. In between I described what I needed and to please call me back. That was August 29th. Have not received a return call. That's one long lunch. So today September 13th, I called a competitor about an hour south of me that is a Keystone dealer. In less than 15 minutes my screen was ordered. It will be here in a week or so. Camping World French Camp, you need to step it up. I'm pretty much done with you guys. There's other brick and mortar rv stores and online shopping I can utilize. read more

Buyer beware! We bought a Coleman 15 months ago. First, the finance guy played us. He must have sensed our desperation, needing the immediate, temporary space for a family member's caretaker who was currently hospitalized. They advertised 200 mth payments for five years. We quickly agreed. (We have over an 800 credit score.) We were told we couldn't pick it up until the following week, which was fine. We ran back to the hospital to be with our family member, happy we would have the extra space. When the dust settled, though, we had over a $200 payment for 25 years! The purchase price was supposed to be $13,000, but ended up being 23,000. Hell no. To make a long story short, we paid it off immediately, our family member passed and for the past 14 months, the rv has sat empty, without being used at all. So, two weeks ago, we decided to take it to a campground close to our home for a weekend getaway. It was the first time it had been moved since the purchase. As we were driving home from that trip, the panels began flying off! What a horrible surprise, but the biggest upset happened when we returned to Camping World so they could honor the $3,000 extended warranty we purchased when buying their horrible product. Guess what? It's not covered. They wanted over $300 to look at it and then they would let us know what the final cost would be. Apparently, the extended warranty only covers appliances. Ridiculous. The entire process with Camping World has left a sour taste in our mouths. The people we dealt with were not honest with us at any step of the way. From the finance guy with his shady sales tactics, convincing us we needed a useless extended warranty because the rv was "a tin can on rollerskakes" and we would definitely "get our money back" to the management that advertises misleading financial terms that nobody will ever walk out of there with. I caution all. Make sure you read the fine print and know that if you ever buy something there, check out all the details. Don't rely on any salesman or representative of Camping World. You, like us, will probably be highly disappointed if you do. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Pan Pacific, who was bought out by Camping World in June. I purchase two travel trailers under the Pan Pacific name. In March took my 2021 Keystone Passport in for some warranty work, April went to pick it up and discovered there was a bigger issue that needed to be fixed, had them keep it replace all the issues and picked it up in beginning of June. Was unhappy with the quality of work but was assured it was covered for a year. Had a few issues recently and the work that was previously done had come undone, called Camping World, formerly Pan Pacific, made the appointment and was assured it would be no problem. Showed up with my trailer in tow only to be told they are no longer servicing Pan Pacific's warranty work and that I could pay at a discounted cost to have the trailer inspected. I am in communication with Keystone and reaching out to my extended warranty. I feel Pan Pacific should have been forth coming in March they were selling to Camping World. I might have made a different decision for my warranty work. I am now left with the mess, shoddy repair work, and bad taste in my mouth for camping worlds service department and customer service for long time Pan Pacific customers. So disappointed and will be seeking a resolution. read more

My experience with Camping World a scale of one to 10 was a -50. I found them to be dishonest with zero to -50 Customer Service credits. I purchased a new Keystone RV high-end for over $100,000 was charged $2000 to have it cleaned in order for it to leave the lot saying it was a mandatory charge. I paid to have ceramic seal done on the inside and outside for $2000 which they said they-did, nope. My bank recovered the money. The manager Eddie Dennis at the location in Vacaville California had set up my inspection blocking my ability to check my awnings and then lied saying they worked great, they don't work at all. This is the email we sent to the CEO office and Market Fixed Ops Manager explaining our experience with the French Camp location. Good Evening Mr. Lemonis, We are emailing you about our experience we had with Camping World in French Camp California. Our appointment was arranged by Thomas King for April 19 2024 at 10am for us to sell our 2021 Coleman travel trailer to Camping World. Amber called Hal Morgan a day or two before the appointment to confirm. Hal asked if we could change the appointment time to 11am as he had an early morning dentist appointment. She said that's fine no worries. We arrived about 20-15min early for our appointment and waited for Hal to arrive and he was on time. Once they figured where they wanted us to drop the trailer for inspection, we asked if we would have time to go grab lunch, Hal said yes that would be fine. When we arrived back 1 hour later we were asked to go wait in the waiting room. When I brought in the paper work I asked our bank for a payoff quote and they provided me with a screen shot without their header. I was trying to help the process go smoother by asking for it. As we sat in the waiting room I called our bank asking for a new payoff quote with their header and I was told we had to go into the bank to get it. Finally about 4pm I walked out to see what the hold up was and Hal said he was just on his way to get us to sign paper work after agreeing on purchase price of $14,065.00. I had to ask if there was anything on the inspection report. Hal said yes just minor things.Never saw the inspection report. I asked ok, like what? Hal mention antenna was missing and breakaway cable is frayed. We continued to sign agreement to purchase, the DMV transfer and reassignment form and the notice of release of liability. We left Camping World at 4:40pm. On Tuesday April 30th 2024 Amber texted Thomas King asking if we should make our payment that is due on the 7th because we have noticed Valley First Credit Union didn't show our trailer paid off. Thomas said I would pay it so it is not late. Thomas said he would contact the dealer to see if he can speed up the payment process. Amber said ok thank you. Thomas texted her back and said he did speak to Hal, he said he had some problems submitting the paperwork, but that has been corrected, and everything is moving forward now. On Thursday 05/02/2024 Amber received a call from Larry at 1:42pm, left message to call him back. Amber asked me to return Larry call. I called Larry Sales Manager and was informed that there was damage that we were never informed of. he said he had to put a hold on any transaction. this is 13 days AFTER we signed a sales agreement and DMV transfer work. we had never seen any Inspection report. Today at 5:36 we were emailed an inspection report, after having to ask for it again. in this version of the report it states roof needs complete reseal on all sealant and scrape and reseal on side seams. that was never told to us. So now after going back and forth Larry has lowered his offer verbally to $10,000 . stating that he doing this out of kindness and he feels bad that they had miscommunications inside the business. I said i would talk to Amber and see where things stand. About an hour later Amber got home and we discussed things and she called Larry to talk. He was telling her there were more things wrong than what the inspection stated, like light rust on trailer tongue and was speaking down to her. She Told Larry that we would be in on Monday May 06 2024 to pick up the trailer. Amber sent Thomas King a message thank you for all your help, but unfortunately things are not working out and we will be picking up the trailer Monday. Thomas was very kind and helpful with the processes it's unfortunate your French Camp team dropped the ball. Thank you for your time, I've included the paper work we left Camping World with. UPDATE: we picked up our trailer and in the process of selling it ourself. It was even a mess picking up our trailer. They couldn't find our keys and I thought they had our paperwork/mfg books together but they lost our trailer registration. I think the company needs to review their standards of practice when it comes to customer service. read more

Brought our 2021 22 ft Cougar travel trailer in for inspection & what we believed to be warranty work. We purchased an extended warranty from Pan Pacific, which Camping World purchased, but assured us they would honor the warranty. We had 6 items for them to inspect, mostly minor. The major one was the refrigerator door panel fell off. The other items included removing plastic from sky light, which Pan Pacific installed as part of recall. Diagnose low pressure in toilet, check for possible faucet leak,shower door not staying on track during travel, and small leak under bathroom sink. All warranty was denied. They could not confirm any leaks. They charged $557.20 and only did a repair on shower door by changing rubber piece on handle. They charge $200 per hour. They left the bathroom dirty, with dirt towels, electricity on, and all tank, grey, clean, & black completely full. Mike, the service manager, did have them return & clean & then empty our black tank.Even after cleaning, a lot of dirt in bathroom floor.The tanks were all empty when we brought the trailer to them. We believe the charge was exorbitant for very little work & just inspections. Also they were sloppy. We will go elsewhere in future for repairs or try to fix ourselves. read more

I stopped by to get some parts and service work done and the entire experience was phenomenal. The parts department was incredibly helpful, resourceful, and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. The parts manager Olivia went above and beyond, exceeding every expectation I could have as a customer. She is only 24, but wow she knows how to take care of a customer. The entire parts crew worked effortlessly to get me taken care of and I couldn't be more grateful. This place is really making changes since when I came down in June. They literally scanned my mother driver's license in order to look at RVs. If they would've asked me I would've said absolutely not. Who the hell do these people think they are? There's nothing that says ID required to look or shop there. I told my mom to file a complaint. They better have a written policy that states they card ID every single person that/looks/shops or they're in for one hell of a lawsuit. I have been there and received good customer service but since that visit I have called on a few occasions and the customer service has not been so good. Today for example I was trying to talk with someone in the Service Department and the call got switched to the answering station and she asked if I would like to still be connected to Lathrop, CA and I said yes. She came back on the line instantly and said I am sorry they are not answering could I try back later..! I said I would rather hold and she was so rude and very unprofessional to say the least. (She said her name was Julie, but not sure on that). So she put me on hold again and came back with sorry they are still not answering so I will have to call back later. I know they lost my business today but I wonder how many others they have lost due to this same situation. I did call them back and spoke with a very sweet and helpful lady that answers calls and she was going to walk a message over to Mike personally and ask him to give me a call, please.! Well long story short, no call back, so i have now taken my business elsewhere today. Sorry, Camping World..... I think you may want to consider getting more employees in that store before you end up possibly losing more customers.! And as I am writing this Mike in the Service Dept did call me back and I appreciate that, but I am still concerned with the unprofessionalism of the call center that my call was switched to earlier. read more

Very bad exsperience at Camping world . any positive reviews older then 3 months belong to the previous owners... this place will destroy your credit with excessive credit inquiries. Our credit dropped 11 points each igot warning for excessive inqurThey are manipulative predotory and dishonest every step of the way. Here is a brief summery of my negative exsperience. Went in to buy my first travel trailer. They played alot of games, I ended up paying 27k for a advertised 15.999. And if I wasn't a hard ass it would of been $9000+ more. They forced a $3000. Prep package on us which was not complete. We couldn't take it home , they needed more time to work us for more money. We explained we could not come again till Saturday the next week. Everything was fine and agreeable until we put down the deposit to hold the unit. Another predotory scam. Then all agreements were off nowwe were at their mercy. Well larry changed that appointment midweek to Friday my husband I had to take time off work to accomidate the rv dealer , that was 2 lost days for me. We arrive and knowone new we were coming larry needed us there at 9am we were there but nothing was ready and the manager larry never showed up which was kinda a good thing but it was because he set us up with a 10 year $7000 loan that was also excessive because they are predatory. Now the signing what a nightmare these jerks . Pressure name calling guilt trip makeing you feel bad calling you stressed out.oh god it was a nightmare. Trying to pressure sell you stuff for hours .. then a 10 y $7000 loan please beware of these vultures and if your a woman. The mosagony. Is real . They talked down to me called me aggresdive untrusting and stressed out.. and alot of derogatory statements meant to shame and belittle.. if you do give it a try do not give them you SSCARD.Until you ready to buy , dont put down a deposit until your ready to buy.
