Worst Mexican food I've ever had. Poor service. Manuel is an asshole. They charge for chips and salsa. They also charge for mints. The drinks are horrible and take over 15 mins to get served. The tortillas are purple. The rice is over cooked. The enchiladas have no flavor. The burritos are just gross. We read the reviews that people left and were a little skeptical but decided we wanted to try it out for ourselves. The staff were really friendly when we got there and we got seated quickly for a party of 7. We ordered queso and I personally hated it. It tasted like nacho cheese out of a can so that's why I gave it a 4 star. My entree was shrimp tacos and holy cow they were AMAZING!!!!!! My husband ordered the fish tacos and said they were to die for. So, I don't know why this place has only 3 stars because they at least deserve a 4.5! This place used to be the best and it's still pretty good. I would say the best bang for your buck is to get the buffet since they have all the favorites in it for the same price as one entree. The food was really good. The waitress was very kind and helpful. The owner was a jerk. It was about 60 degrees, people were wearing their winter coats it was so cold. I was shivering and had to put my coat on. The waitress came over and we let her know. She was apologetic and sweet. But we left shortly because our meal was done. I let the front of house know that it was unacceptably cold. The owner got mad and said I should have told him or the waitress, which as I mentioned I had. But did I really need to tell them? Stopped by for a quick lunch and found out they have an all you can eat lunch buffet. It did not disappoint, it's a small buffet but has the works. Both times I've eaten here, it was for work lunches. This place seems to have a following. People that eat here, come often. My first visit, I tried the buffet. There wasn't a huge selection, but good food. The second visit, I ordered off the menu. Very traditional menu and a selection of lunch specials. Nice surroundings, great prices, good food. read more

Worst "Mexican" food we have ever had. It may have looked appetizing but it was subpar. The barbacoa was overly sweet. It tasted like pork soaked in Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce and then shoved into a burrito smothered in tomato sauce that had the audacity to call itself enchilada sauce. The queso was nothing more than nacho cheese out of a tin can. You could taste the metal in it! The grilled burrito with shredded beef was bland but better than the barbacoa. Man... completely different experience with their "to-go" option. Got home and everything was just thrown into a Styrofoam container.. ZERO pride in what they served... they got my one kids order wrong and the other was a half-assed cooked cheese quesadilla with undercooked soggy French fries all mixed together.... my pork tacos had very little meat in them.. typical production line style to-go food... the only reason they got 3 stars is because our usual dine in experience is really very good. First off, the salsa was not house made and the chips were store bought. After we ordered, the food came out suspiciously fast, after starting to eat we realized that it was because it was not cooked fresh. There was a hair in my shredded chicken quesadilla and the tortilla was already so soggy it was like cutting through a sponge. It was also so salty I couldn't eat most of it. My husbands was the opposite, his tortilla was stale and completely unseasoned. His steak was cold and his burrito had an entire bell pepper uncooked and cut so thick it was inedible. I have been eating at El Burrito for over 30 years and things have seemed to go down hill over the last five or so, they have fallen way down my list of Mexican restaurants, we only visit on rare occasions anymore.. I think part of the problem is the buffet, servers and cooks have got so use to folks eating the buffet they don't know how to handle things when a table orders off the menu. This latest visit was the worst by far, 10 minutes to get noticed, 10+ more minutes to get the drinks and chips (half a bowl of chips at that) and yet another 20+ minutes for the food to arrive. Unfortunately the wait was not worth it. I was tempted to get the buffet but I really wasn't that hungry so ordered a Meat, Bean and Cheese burrito enchilada style, flavor was very lacking. If that was not bad enough we got what had to be the worse server ever and the worse seat in the house making for a very bad experience. read more

Love the lunch buffet, which includes my favorite Chili Verde sauce in the area. Move from Los Angeles, CA and had the hardest time finding decent Mexican food. This place exceeded my expectations. We love Manuels! We hadn't been in for a few months, and were surprised to see that they remodeled the restaurant. Looks great! We usually get the buffet, which is really good. Cheese, beef, and chicken enchiladas, (on corn tortillas)) potatoes and killer chile verde, hard and soft shell tacos, quesadillas, beans, rice, and a mini salad bar. What's not to love? Javier was our server. It was a busy Friday night, but he stayed on top of things with very attentive service. We recommend this restaurant to all of our friends. Woo hoo! Mexican buffet! Yep, that's about all I got. Enchiladas with a chili verde sauce were worth 3 very healthy trips back to the buffet. Then went and fell into a Mexican food induced coma at my afternoon work meetings. I bet I snored.
