The front desk staff was not very kind or welcoming during checkout. I was made to feel embarrassed for not knowing that two extra waxing strips would cost an additional $22, and that the travel-size wipes were $13 after being told they were free. I left feeling uncomfortable, embarrassed, and like I wasn't treated very well by the front desk. While I appreciated the kindness of the person who provided the service, the checkout experience really impacted how I felt leaving the appointment. I wound up moving to California and it's been a nightmare starting over with a new practitioner that would give me my regular dose of HRT without proof of previous dosage but they called repeatedly and even an MD in Burbank did not get a call back and I've been severely dysregulated hormonally for months which is impacting my quality of life. How hard would it have been to call another doctor back. Or send me past lab results and dosages? I tried reaching out directly to Dr Fombu repeatedly myself and my partner also did as well. Apparently she is at another clinic somewhere but I haven't been able to connect. It was a great place at first and I got my life back with Bioidentical hormones and weight loss support and was even happy to pay out of pocket for that level of care but now I've spent 6 months trying to get it back. She was a great doctor but the ghosting was unacceptable. And for a doctor that felt like a caring partner in health I wound up feeling betrayed and damaged in my health journey which had finally started giving me hope.
