    Two eggs with turkey sausage
    Donna R.

I've been coming here regularly now for over a year. My boyfriend and I get takeout breakfast every Sunday morning. They have a good amount of breakfast specials. I love their turkey sausage, and breakfast sandwiches, and delicious pancakes. Their half pound Cheeseburger Deluxe will satisfy even the hungriest of appetites. The coffee is hot and fresh. Everything is made to order. The portions are large, and the food is satifying. This place reminds me of how Mom and Pop Jersey diners used to be. No frills, just good food done well. This diner is family owned and run. The staff works very hard to keep everyone satisfied. This diner is small but it always seems to work out with the seating. Everyone who comes here is patient, and friendly. The staff is very welcoming and they tend to know their regular customers. The Manville diner does offer takeout. Sometimes I call in my order and just pick it up. They open at 6a and close at 9p daily. ( Check online for updated times.) They have a small parking lot in the back. The streets are one way so you'll have to go around the block and come around to park. There's limited parking on the street. It never seems to be a problem. If your looking for a place to get a hearty breakfast, brunch, or lunch then this is your place.

The person cooking has no mask on

I used to love eating here, but not anymore. Despite a sign saying masks are required for entry some employees either don't wear one or wear it improperly. Before you say anything about some people medically not being able to wear one, of course I get that, but then that person shouldn't be cooking food and in be in such close proximity with other people cooking. I also get that some standards have been relaxed a little, but this is disgusting. What makes it worse is that the person I got a picture of not wearing a mask is either the owner or the manager. Shame on you for setting a bad example for the people who work there and shame on you for posting a policy you don't even follow yourself. I was a regular customer for a very long time and now I won't be anymore.

We pass this diner on Main Street ALL THE TIME!! We've never gone in because when we pass it, we're usually on route home from Walmart, *twitching* and WAY too disturbed from what we've seen during our shopping trip... The diner is small. Quaint. Old school-looking. Low ceilings, two or four seater-booths, open kitchen (which I appreciate) and a 'Seat Yourself' system. Big menus were handed to us by a lovely waitress. Typical Diner Foods were listed, but the specials are highlighted in plastic-pocket sections. I ordered the Roman Combo; Garden salad, Chicken Parm with a side of penne a la vodka. The man ordered a Gyro platter with a Greek salad. Both were delicious! We were stunned. How did we NOT find this place sooner?!?! Dessert was Cheesecake from heaven... I'm excited to go back and try more dishes!!

The place was busy but dam was it good. The food portion was was not what I expected. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area

Order online when arrived to pickup ,they told me grubhub already took my food, provide this as proof, point to the time and told me it's the time someone pick it up. I returned home to realize that this is not a 'pickup proof', it's just their work order, time their is when food supposed to be ready, feel very cheated, called grubhub and they cancel my order. So people draw your conclusion,I will not visit them again

I visited the Manville Diner for breakfast on Nov 10, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. There is a small parking lot in the back of the diner. There is additional parking on the street. Prices are reasonable and the diner gives generous portions. My grandmother and I had eggs with home fries and toast, we both agreed it was good. The coffee was also good and the waitress was friendly. The diner has been in Manville New Jersey since 1938, under different names throughout the years. The outside of the dinner looks like a regular building. Once you walk inside you are transported back to 1938. The diner from the inside looks like the inside of a train car. Long and narrow with a curved ceiling, the diner resembles an O'Mahony dining car with upgrades made through the years. I will definitely go back.

Finding this diner is such a comfort after moving to the area! This place is really just such a solid NJ diner and reminds me of some of my favorites in north Jersey. Came on a Sunday morning and there were a few tables available. The servers were all extremely friendly and on top of everything. I had a simple eggs, Taylor ham, home fries platter and everything was really good. The potatoes could be a little crispier, but that's just a personal preference! Prices are so affordable and it's conveniently located on a Main Street in town. I definitely see this becoming a staple breakfast spot for me.

Crab(?) cake, mystery baked macaroni, their idea of stewed tomatoes.

Excellent Corn Beef! Trust me-the coleslaw is just as excellent as the rest of the meal. The rice pudding is off the charts delicious!

The service can also be a bit slow sometimes, they don't always seem to staff the place adequately on their busy nights. But for a casual/chill American dining experience, 22 West is your spot!

Occupying the space previously…read moreknown as The Office Bar & Tavern, 22 West is a nice, casual tavern setup right on Route 22 with a solid-looking menu featuring a wide variety of burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. I recently met a friend at 22 West for a few drinks and dinner. We got there at the tail end of Happy Hour and enjoyed a couple of locally-produced draft beers. The food itself was perfectly okay -- nothing mind-blowing, but decent enough for a casual bite. We shared a dozen chicken wings and both thought they were pretty good. I had a turkey burger and french fries -- which was well-executed and filling. Looking at their website, it seems as if they've changed up their menu since my visit late last month.. but, I'm not sure I'm going back to try it again because the service really dragged our experience down. We sat at the bar and the staff behind the rail barely paid attention to us and seemed ambivalent about our presence at best. The biggest issue for me happened when I went to the men's restroom and found the soap dispenser completely empty. On the way back to my seat, I mentioned it to the hostess so it could be addressed by the staff and asked if she had any hand sanitizer. She just told me it was her first day on the job and she didn't know who to ask about either. Leaving a restroom without soap is bad enough, but a front-of-house staff member completely brushing off a basic hygiene issue because she didn't want to find a manager is just really bad customer service. It's a convenient spot with decent pub food, but they definitely need to tighten up their service and basic restroom maintenance.

This was my first time coming back to Turf, Surf and Earth since their new menu change. I walked in…read moreat 11am and went up to the kiosk, and realized that only breakfast items were available. I wanted to try something from the lunch menu, after asking an employee, I was told that lunch starts at 11:30am. So I came back around that time to order. I've been seeing their Big Mack Smash on social media for some time now, and it looks delicious. So I decided to I order their single patty Big Mack Smash, with angus meat and American cheese, on a plant based white bun. I don't care for sesame seeds on buns, and there was no option for a regular burger bun (without sesame seeds), so I chose the non sesame seed vegan bun. I also ordered a side of fries with garlic aioli. The plant based white bun was a little dry and the burger patty was also dry and did not have much flavor. Maybe I should have done a double patty for the burger, since it is a smashed patty and a little too thin for my liking. I felt like I was eating a dry burger bun with mostly lettuce, an occasional pickle and the Mack sauce. I probably will not order the garlic aioli again, it had a sweeter and nutty flavor to it, and I prefer more of a savory aioli. I used to order their Blackened salmon with a side of greens and Spanish rice in their BBQ Ranch flavor style, from their old menu. I do miss that meal, it was so flavorful with the crispy onions to top everything off. But I understand that they made the change to better suit the business and cut back on waste. I probably would not order the big Mack burger again. But I will definitely be back to try something else from the new menu. I've been a customer for over 6 years, and have introduced some of my family members and friends to this restaurant, and we've enjoyed our meals here for that time. I love that there are many vegan and vegetarian options here. Although I am neither, it's a great place for those who have dietary restrictions/preferences. Hopefully I find my new go to menu item soon, but in the meantime I will be ordering and trying many of the other new menu items. This is definitely the place to come if you don't want a typical vegan meal. You'd be like a kid in a candy store, with the amount of options that are here. They also have many non vegan options. Turf, Surf and Earth serves EVERYONE and that is their biggest positive!
