I had told her I like deep tissue massage, and she explained to let me know if the pressure was too much. When I did let her know the pressure was too much, she never adjusted it. I said multiple times that the pressure was too much (and I rarely say that - I do like deep tissue) and she never once adjusted the pressure when I said something. Which was totally weird and just painful. It felt like she was just jamming her elbow in my back and keeping it there. Update: So I was contacted by the staff due to this review and I ended up going back. That second massage was totally amazing. I guess it's just all dependent on who you get and who you vibe with. I totally do recommend this place now. Thanks!

I am highly dissatisfied with the customer service and the overall process, including calling, confirming appointments, and the way charges are handled. The level of customer care is no longer what it used to be, and that is truly disappointing. At this point, I would rather take my business somewhere that values customers and provides quality service. I do not want to continue wasting my money on a company that no longer meets those standards.

I've now experienced the head spa treatment. My appointment was on a Friday afternoon and "Mo" was…read morewatching for me. She was incredibly kind and helpful, especially knowing it was my first time. I was the only person at the spa so I didn't experience anything more than the sound of music and running water. I wasn't sure what to expect. Here's what I learned that may be helpful to you for the head spa experience: - The Thai bed offered the comfortable, wider bed. It was heated and I was covered with blankets. - You will wear a towel on your top. Straps would be in the way. Come wearing a tube top, something that can be pulled down, or slip off your bra. - If you don't have warm socks, they offer fuzzy socks. - Lockers are provided for security. The key is attached to a bracelet and you can slip it on your wrist. - A scalp analysis is completed before and after. - The treatment started with a massage and it continues on and off throughout. - The pressure isn't painful but it can be intense, including on your scalp. My arm muscles were very tight so I was mindful to breathe through the soreness. - The head massagers are amazing. I've already looked up where to buy my own! -Your hair will be washed multiple times. Aveda products are used. Overall, a wonderful experience. It is definitely a splurge for me; however, this will be a treatment I'll come back for to keep my scalp and hair healthier, plus have an opportunity to relax.

Wonderful experience with Mo! My lower back feels fossilized sometimes because it's soooo tight,…read morebut Mo was so thorough and put in a lot of work to help alleviate the pain and stiffness, which has plagued me for about 20 years. I am fit and I am a longtime yoga practitioner. I understand my role in managing these issues, but no amount of exercise can offset 8 hours sitting at a computer a day. A good massage is sometimes the only thing that can help when my body really starts locking up. Ive tried a number of massage therapists who are trained through westernized programs, and I even had a standing appointment with a wonderful reiki master who was a massage instructor for many years. Unfortunately, none of these therapists (who were legitimately excellent) were able to provide much relief for issues like persistent psoas tightness and snapping hip syndrome, etc. Mo is the first massage therapist who really made a difference in my pain and my low back and hip function, after just one session. I don't know if I truly do need deep tissue work or if it just *feels* as if I need deep tissue massage to me because of my usual experiences, but I always ask for deep work and rarely feel as though it's even close to being deep enough. A lot of massage therapists just don't seem to have more than textbook classroom-based understandings of the body, and they tend to try to use sessions to lecture me about the most basic things or assert their expertise, even while they're failing to recognize where my muscles are tight and how to actually address the tightness. That's why I decided to try an eastern-based practitioner this time. This was a fairly vigorous and intense session and I got the exact pressure I wanted/needed, without having to even say anything. It felt as though I finally got some release along my spine. She also did exceptional work on my shoulders and mid-back as well and gave a brief scalp massage. It made my whole week! Lalai is my new standing massage therapy provider and I highly recommend them, and Mo :)

Every time I pass through Louisville, I SO look forward to getting an awesome 2-hour massage with…read moreOleg! I, myself, am a massage therapist and can greatly appreciate the seriously advanced bodywork techniques that Oleg orchestrates into every massage! He is so well studied and masterfully creative in his work. Oleg combines his vast knowledge with various therapeutic techniques he's learned over many years to skillfully combine pressure, stretching, and manipulation to release tight muscles and relieve stiffness, pain, and numbness. He is very passionate about his work and is so willing to share his knowledge with his clients. He goes above and beyond by teaching clients how to do self-treatment to keep their bodies more flexible and pain free between sessions. He is very strong and has large hands that easily adjust and apply pressure to release trigger points and fascia ... but always to your preferred depth and comfort level. One of the impressive tools Oleg uses in his work is his customizable massage table. (Something that only another massage therapist can truly appreciate!) It's not only comfortable, it has so many adjustable features that I'm sure it greatly enhances his ability to position clients to effectively perform his magic! The table is a great tool ... but, IMHO (in my humble opinion) ... his most incredible tool is the vast amount of resources contained in his head. A lot of therapists may learn different kinds of techniques and therapies, but Oleg has amassed an amazing amount of knowledge that he skillfully applies according to what's needed in each particular session. It's such a gift to experience this level of expertise. If you're looking for fluff & buff, Oleg is NOT your guy! Oleg is truly a master of massage and bodywork! So ... if you are someone that sincerely wants to address underlying issues causing your pain and/or stiffness, I would recommend booking an appointment with him A.S.A.P., before he's too busy to see new clients! I call him my "Go-To" Therapist ... I just wish he lived closer so I could 'go-to' him more often! Mariana W. - NC Licensed Massage Therapist
