My husband & I went to Maple & Bacon in Valparaiso, IN. I ordered "The Aberdeen" it was nasty the toast was burnt, egg & potatoes were overcooked parts of the potatoes were hard, like they had been sitting & were cooked again to warm up. Our waitress Vicki did bring me another side of potatoes (was not as bad) & another slice of toast. Brought home the food for our dogs. Extremely disappointed, we spent $43.00 for awful food, never going there again!! read more

Our first visit was good. The decor was cute. It was busy, but we were seated right away on a Sunday morning. The server and busboys were helpful and checked on us. We had the avocado toast and the classic double breakfast with a caramel latte. The coffee was hot and high quality. The pepper flakes on the toast were a little spicy for me. My boyfriend commented the scrambled eggs were cooked a little less than he liked, but overall we enjoyed our meals! We'll be coming here again. Wait was twice as long as told it would be. Finally sat at a table to wait even longer before even seeing a server to order coffee. Then finally ordered food took so long, drinks were good. The food was cold. Got the biscuit and gravy and the biscuit you couldn't even cut through the biscuit it was so hard :(. I guess the most reason for this post was that the server seemed irritated when we asked her about the meal.... Customer service was not good but could have saved the experience instead of making it worse. read more

I just want to warn folks about this place. I had the worst service of my life there and said so on Google. Then the restaurant tried to get some folks to dilute my rating. I know it had just opened and I took that very much into account. But to get absolutely no service at all (after confirming with three people we would eventually see a server on the patio), finally getting cold food with missing ingredients (we ended up going to the bar and persuading someone to put an order in), and never seeing a manager or owner trying to correct the chaos...well, they need to fix a lot of things before I would spend my time and money there again. read more

I ordered the apple and candied pecan waffle with a side of hashbrowns. My sister had the b's and g's with scrambled eggs on the side, and mama ordered the smash burger. We also got fancy coffees. All of our food was delicious, but the shining star of the meal was our server Jessie. We have eaten at Maple and Bacon twice over the last six weeks. Our first visit was on a, busy weekend for brunch and both the food and the service exceeded our expectations. The second time we visited was on a Wednesday and the restaurant was not busy. While the food was excellent, on our first visit, on our second visit, the food was mediocre at best, and the service was quite sporadic. On the second visit, one of us had a California wrap and the other had a grilled chicken salad. The grilled chicken was room temperature as were the greens in the salad. After both visits, we would recommend eating at this establishment at a time that emphasizes breakfast and brunch which is their forte. Our second visit was around 1:30 in the afternoon and we would not recommend this time. read more

Absolutely wonderful! Met a dear friend for brunch with my little one and the food, drinks and staff were all top notch.

This was our first time here because we were shopping in Valparaiso and let me tell you if you have never been here you need to make a point to come and enjoy the wonderful food. This has to be the best breakfast for the most reasonable price. I think I've ever had the atmosphere. Here is just so warm and comfortable and the waitress was superb. We have been to maple & bacon 3 times now, all 3 times for breakfast. The food never seems to arrive at the table hot...and all 3 visits, it has been a struggle to get more coffee.
