Went in on Christmas Eve and ordered the house chow mein and spring rolls. Left a three dollar tip. When I got home I opened the box of chow mein and it contained 3 pieces of cabbage and 5 bean sprouts and the rest was noodles. I was totaly disappointed. I always order the house chow mein. It has shrimp, chicken, beef...totally yummy. I paid $20 for the order with tip. There wasnt $5 worth of anything. When I called today I was told that i had ordered chow mein, not house chow mein. I told them that i was disappointed in the food, they told me I was on camera ordering chow mein, and they hung up on me! I tried calling back and they wouldnt answer. I will be stopping in to see this footage they claim to have personaly. Their customer service is lousy in my opinion. read more

This place was great. We ended up here after it seemed to be the only place that was open. We are from out of town and were headed home. This place is good for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike. All the food was great, most especially the vegetable Mushu with the real Chinese pancakes. The place was really quiet when we came in, there were about four other families in there but nobody seemed to be talking, so we thought our family with two toddlers might be too loud. Our waitress was really nice and even brought our kids fortune cookies while they were waiting. In a nutshell, fantastic food, fantastic service. We will definitely stop here again if we ever come back through town. I've had Chinese food in a lot of major cities from San Francisco to Washington DC, and this is one of the best places I've ever eaten. This family run business is on the Main Street next to several vacant store fronts. Don't be distracted by a downtown that has fallen on hard times because this place is clean, nicely appointed and a good value. The service was fine and the food came out in a timely manner even though there were several tables of guests on site. The soup was different from the usual given during lunch - very tasty. The Kung Pao Chicken and vegetarian vegetable stir fry was really good. People in these small town who are trying to make a go of their businesses even when the fast pace of life encourages us to pass them by --- deserve our support when their products are good. The best Chinese food around. Many families travel from nearby towns for Maple Garden. I love the coconut chicken. Breaded chicken, covered in a delicious coconut sauce with a pile of real coconut on top. Not too sweet. Crab Puffs are a great appetizer. Was waiting on a thrift store to open back up, yes I'm like that, and decided to check it out. Got some food to go and had a sapporo while I waited. Girl behind the counter we very nice and did not make me feel unwelcome or weird for sitting by myself with a beer while I waited for my food. Thank you for not judging! Absolute worst meal ever. We used to LOVE this place and would make the drive from Willows. Stopped in today and had two lunch specials. Hubs had garlic chicken with one piece of chicken. I had teriyaki chicken that tasted burnt. It was awful. I told Mae and she just said ok and took it away. I don't know what happened but it really went downhill. read more

Well hubbys work brought us to this tiny little town or Orland- cute little town approximately 60 miles south of Redding. There were a few choices but for some reason the Maple Garden was calling my name. We went in and ordered a family dinner for 2 reasonably price and the service was great. We had what they call a happy family special which consisted of pork chicken shrimp and beef with broccoli water chestnuts mushrooms and a few other veggies it was mixed in this really good sauce we also ordered an egg foo young it was AMAZING so good and fluffy next up was the pork fried rice the flavor was again perfect sweet n sour chicken was tangy n just the right amount of heat to it. Instead of egg flower soup we were given won ton soup it had these little dumplings that are oh so good and the filling was just right. My hubby had a tsing Tao beer one of his faves. We would definitely come back to eat here if we had the chance. Our waitress was really sweet we didn't get her name but we knows she's graduating this year Congratulations class of 2017 and keep trying with them blue devils! Don't give up!! read more

The prices are super reasonable, 7.99 at lunch and you get soup, appetizer, rice and chow mein and an entree. The owners are very sweet. I been there twice and find their food is amazing..we plan to go there for dinner on valentines day. The flavor of the food is great. The portions are big. We always end up taking home enough food for the next day. The restaurant is always clean, and the service has always been great. They have always been very attentive to our needs when we are there.
