First time eating Thai food in Chico as I was craving mom's home cooking and this place is a hit! It tastes just like home and that staff is fully attentive during your visit just making you feel like you are home with family all over again. They have a lot of seating available in their new location and just like the staff making you feel like family, it feels like you are visiting family in the restaurant. Food wise I am a picky fried rice eater, and I will say best fried rice I've had from any restaurant! My cousin ordered this lamb stir fry like dish and as someone who does not like lamb, I would order again! The meat was tender and flavorful through every bite and I'm sure that flavor will be for any meat you choose. So they moved locations lol. Down the street toward the park and across from the parking structure. About a 2 min walk from the old location. Still nice inside and same friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Same fair pricing snd thank goodness- still the same consistent and amazing flavors! My daughter flew in fr the east coast and this is always the first place she wants to visit when back in nor cal. I've eaten a ton of Thai food all over the world, this is by far in the top 3- def best on the west coast. That's saying a lot. I e brought so many large and small groups of fam and friends by fr so cal to the bay and everyone has raved about how wonderful the food is. This is my go-to Thai place when I come to Chico to visit my parents. My mom has a lot of dietary restrictions and this place is always accommodating and gives great service. The food is always good my favorite is the Penang curry with chicken. My dad always gets the cashew chicken and loves it. We get the Satay chicken and we love the sticky mango rice for dessert. My mom and I also get their Thai tea which is delicious. There new location downtown has more seating and it is easy to carry on a conversation without the other tables distracting you. Loved, loved, loved this spot! All of our food was so fresh and yummy, ESPECIALLY the egg rolls I still dream about them to this day. The service was fast and they were so kind! We had a group and it was our first time and they did a wonderful job showing us all around the menu and things we'd like! The ambiance is so cool and calming with lots of religious things representing Thai culture as well as lovely paintings. I've only had their yellow curry with chicken, but it is simply the best. Has everything you want without a bunch of frills. Mild and medium heats are delicious, and I'm sure the hot is too!Togo portion is huge, including a full side of rice, and I can have it for two days. I always order it when I have a cold, and it heals me of all of my ailments. The employees are always super nice and I've never had an issue with my order. 10/10 read more

It's been awhile since I've reviewed this restaurant but it is still highly rated! From curries to pho to noodles to rice to stir frys everything here is delicious. I used to come solely for the pho but every so often I like to mix it up. Hubby always gets the Thai basil with chicken and since his palate is on the milder side, he likes the option of the spice tray. Service is always friendly and water stays filled. The mango sticky rice is literally one slice of mango that's been cut up into several small tiny pieces and a few bites of rice for $10. The fried rice, dinner entree size, that I had tonight was so small I was able to easily finish it on my own in one sitting. I'm pretty disappointed with this place and won't be back. Ordered for pickup so I can't speak on service or ambiance of the place, but the food was really sub-par... I've eaten at so many Thai restaurants... I just ordered a combo appetizer and tofu pad thai.. the peanuts on the pad Thai were so stale and smelled and tasted very old, the pad Thai itself lacked flavor, and the combo was so fried it was like.. dry and gummy. Portion size is a joke. I orders the coconut soup. I got 2 small mushrooms cut up in 4ths, 2 shrimp, 2 tiny calamari pieces and 2 baby scallops. It was so disappointing to get to my hotel room, ready to enjoy this and see it's literally just liquid. For $20 I would have expected more. I like their green curry with protein choice of chicken (meat choice is $1 extra, shrimp is like $2 extra, they have tofu choice as well). It comes with a full bowl of rice. I usually cannot finish their rice, it's a lot. With tax, it is $15.10 (Nov. 2023). This dish is somewhat a bit too sweet, so it is not for you if you're looking for sth hot and spicy only. Their food comes out quite fast, as I have eaten there alone, or foursome or 8-9 people together. I like their curry dishes, but their pad thai is good, their pad see ew is also good. Most recently, I went in like 5:15pm and they were busy taking takeout orders on the phone. They don't have any specific Thai feeling interior inside. Very small portion size. Feels like I was having a sample size. Pad Thai sauce is good but the noodles are a little too Al-dente. They use different noodles like rounded ones. The front lady does not smile. Looks she she hates her job. I'll go again if all Thai places in Chico are closed and I'm desperate. read more
