My partner and I recently discovered this donut shop by our place and boy are we glad we did. It was a chilly rainy Sunday morning but there was still a line about 5 heads deep. Although the line seemed long, the wait for my breakfast sandwich was not. I had an egg and cheese bagel and it reminded me of the bagel sandwiches I used to get from NYC bodegas. They use real eggs and the sandwiches are made to order. I also could not believe how affordable it was. Only $6.25 for a breakfast sandwich is UNHEARD OF in the Bay Area. Came here to try their donuts, its a small donut shop but it has few seats to sit at and eat. I asked if they were connected to the other maple lead donuts on saratoga avenue and they said no diff owners. The donuts were fresh and soft, when you bit in you go all the way, no staleness at all.
