We came to the shop around 11:30 a.m. on August 23rd. When we arrived there were two patrons outside enjoying their coffee and pastry and another set of patrons inside a little girl with their dad having a little tea party. I will say that walking in the space is elegant is the word I would like to use but also inviting with the little extras that they do at the table with the fresh flowers the soft chairs the colorful decor that surrounds it. Also the two individuals behind the counter that were taking orders and packaging things were just a delight. Both of them greeted us with a smile and they asked us if it was our first time to the shop and we told them yes and so they walked us through some of the more popular items and how are things were broken down and that was very much appreciated cuz there are many many options in front of you in unless you know exactly what you want you can be looking at everything for a couple of minutes before you decide on even one thing. We ended up getting a regular latte and a rose latte for our drinks. And then as a little delicious taste of something we got the chocolate croissant and the almond croissant. I am going to comment on my rose latte first that thing was beautifully made because though it was sweet but in a way that wasn't overpowering because you could still taste a little bit of the caffeine the creaminess of the milk that was used and the espresso it was like a hint in the background so a little call out there if you're someone that really wants to taste their coffee this wasn't the jam for you and that's okay my husband got the regular latte with steamed milk and I tasted his and that was like coffee in your face so you can always go for a solid twist like that. And to clarify his latte was also very good because it just tasted so fresh and of high quality. Now for the pastries. They were stupendous because they had the right amount of flakiness but softness. They also were buttery but not overly so were like major hands feel greasy it was so savory both of them which is interesting because the fillings one was chocolate one was almond I would have thought that both of them would have had an overpowering sweetness to them. We will say that we both liked the almond croissant more not that the chocolate one wasn't just as good. The almond had a little bit of a 1up because I don't know how to explain it it's almost like it had a almond crumble at the top so you bit into the pastry which was fluffy but you had the crunch on the top then you had a little bit of the almond filling and then you had the butter and like the soft but almost chewiness of the inside of the layers just stupendous all of that together was great. If we end up ever being in that area again will definitely want to go back to try the rest of the stuff they had because I want to know how everything else takes especially those beautiful cakes that were just art themselves read more

My wife mentioned this place since she sees it on her IG account so we decided to try it this Friday!! It is located next to the grocery store Nobhill and there are quick 20min parking in front of the store. We were greeted right when we entered the door and looked at the delicious treats to eat. There is the main seating area and another area in the back to sit down along with sitting outside. It felt upscale and nice. The sign in front of the store had some drink specials and I got a strawberry/matcha drink I think it was called Rose. I asked what was good here and the cashier said the mini almond pastries and other treats in the front. The mini almond pastry was really good and also got a crème brûlée which was really good as well. I would come back again and try their hot teas next time. Delicious treats. Throughout the entire process, Maryam was kind, patient, helpful, incredibly sweet, and genuinely invested in bringing this vision to life. And she did. The finished cake was beyond anything I could have hoped for. It wasn't just beautiful or impressive, it captured who my sister is. Every tier, every flower, every symbol, every tiny detail meant something. This cake was incredibly important to me because, in a strange way, it was my love letter to my sister. It was 50 years of memories, things and people she loves, and pieces of her life all wrapped up in one completely outrageous cake. And Maryam treated every single element as though it were just as important to her as it was to me. That is a rare thing. It has been on my list to visit, known for the Spiral Croissant made popular like around 2 years ago. Great indoor and outdoor dining. Since it is small shopping area there is a lot of parking. It is a great place to enjoy a cup or tea or coffee with a selection of decadent desserts. As you check the display case someone will help you and you can request for take out or for here options. The staff were friendly and helpful when I requested for explanation for some of the desserts. He got four things the strawberry heart shaped moose, the lemon tart, a pistachio tart, and their infamous croissant chocolate I don't even know what it's called. Everything was so flavorful and so beautiful. I thought the lemon tart was the best. It had such a great flavor. I wasn't so crazy about the strawberry mousse heart. I thought it had a weird texture, but the guys loved it. I did love how pretty it was and it had a teeny tiny little rose decoration, which was so adorable and special ! I love the ambiance and desserts at Marvel cake - they have such a cute tea house feel with the sofa's for two people. If you have a fur baby, there is outdoor seating for you. I feel like it takes me back to being in some European coffee place ( even though it's in a strip mall). The staff is super friendly and explained what was in the various desserts. My girlfriends and I came to Marvel Cake around 2pm on a Saturday and thankfully there were no long lines. We were able to snag one of the popular matcha spiral croissant and quite a few other desserts to try out. This spot has a pretty good amount of seating and it's a really nice chic ambiance (feels like afternoon tea spot even though they don't sell tea sets/sandwiches). They also have water and restroom. Here's my ranking of the desserts we tried. 1. The Pistachio Tart - so yummy and it's my fav. The mix of pistachio layer and chocolate layer combined was delicious. Not too sweet. 2. Royal hazelnut- probably the most sweetest of all the items we tried but still very good and the crisp layer on the bottom was very delightful! 3. Matcha croissant - yummy! Flaky and yummy matcha filling. 4. Passionfruit and mango tart - quite a few of my friends favorite and def very good! Perfect for the fruit lovers 5. Lemon tart - nice lemon taste and not too tart 6. Strawberry tart- super cute since it's heart shaped but not very memorable compared to the other desserts. I would skip this one. 7. Rose tart - super cute but the only one my friends and I didn't like. The rose taste was too overpowering and it felt like digesting perfume or lotion.
