Wow. What a hidden gem! The food was fantastic, service was friendly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the dog that hung out at the bar was a sweet heart.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait to come back here. In fact, we loved it so much we want to have our rehearsal dinner for our wedding here in the fall.

Lunch with lake views is a good way to spend a spring afternoon. Maple delivers on that front. The food tends toward tavern and comfort foods, they have prime rib for dinner and decent looking pizzas as well. My 3 star experience is largely due to the soggy fries I was served early at lunch. Likely the fryer temp needs to be a bit higher. Plus the under toasted bread under my pot roast sandwich which just turned to soggy mush. I told the waitress all of this but she did not attempt to rectify. At least she could have offered a new batch of fries. That said, the pot roast was excellent, tender and flavorful served under a thick, dark brown gravy. Taking into account the lovely views, friendly waitress and tasty comfort foods, I'd be willing to give the restaurant another try with an eye towards a rating upgrade.

Home sweet Home. When we are here; we feel like home. From my very first time at this wonderful lakeside small town back road restaurant; I was hooked! I have been here winter Spring Summer Fall And YOU CAN NOT leave without one of their amazing amazing amazing deserts! Bring it home! I am partial to the chocolate cake as my go to. The pumpkin pie is my second fave! The salmon, the beef points, the chicken, there is no bad choice at the Maple on the Lake. The service, the people, the servers!!! It always feels like home to me. Thank you to all of the staff and owners. You all go above and beyond and it shows in everything! The warmth embraces you from the moment you arrive. From the large gathering dining room to the cozier lakefront view tables; there is not a bad table in the place. Always look forward to my first visit back when I return in the summer.

We came here for our 15 year anniversary and had a really nice time. Its a bit of a drive but the scenery is nice along the way. When we arrived around 5pm Wed night there was plenty of seating and the host said we could pick whatever table we wanted to sit at. Part way through our stay we could here staff quoting a 30 minute wait. Service was a little slow but they were packed. We ordered the Buffalo wing appetizer medium hot. The wings were a decent size, crispy but tasted mild. The entrees were very reasonably priced and quite large. They didn't look very pretty and made no attempt to garnish anything but they tasted good. The exception was my boiled "baked potato" that came with sour cream and butter on the side; I didn't even bother with it. Entrées seemed to come with the soup and salad bar. They were serving cream of potato soup which was very good. The salad bar was basic but all the ingredients were fresh. The atmosphere was relaxed and we weren't rushed to flip the table which was nice since we had our 5 month old with us. Eating with one hand takes a little longer... I had a really nice time and would definitely recommend if in the area.

Onion rings and fried fish for lunch.

If you're looking for a place to dine outside with a view, what better place to go than Maple on the Lake?! We went for lunch on a weekday. We had ice tea, fried fish, and onion rings while seated on a deck. The portions were generous. The meal was delicious. It was definitely not a low-calorie dining experience, but it was definitely fun. Our server was young and helpful. In fact, the entire wait staff was youthful and friendly. A nice way to share a very good meal and enjoy a summer afternoon.

It's attached to the golf course, sort of. I am not sure it's ADA approved as you need to climb steep steps to get in. Portions were generous and the young server was trying really hard to please. She was super friendly, knew the menu really well, offered us tons of options for our selections and was very attentive the entire time. There was live music, a one man keyboardist who played easy listening tunes. We really enjoyed it :) this is a "don't judge a book by its cover" kind of place- the food was absolutely fantastic. We had 3, $25 strip steak special dinners and all were tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked. A Reuben sandwich had real homemade corned beef on it, kids meals were tasty and exactly as described. Vegetable cookery was fantastic, homemade dressings and plentiful portions. We will definitely be back, and we hope the chef and Tina will still be there! First off, the name 'Chuck Wagon' is a nod to the Old West; where cowmen and cowboys used to pull along a wood wagon, which had many covers and a hatch in the back, where the cook would cut stuff, prepare meals & drink and prepare meat. This is a genuine name - do not ever get rid of this diner! Anything you could possibly want or look for in diner atmosphere: is right here. The atmosphere is professional and bright. The elder gentleman, quickly stopped at my table to say "hello". We spoke a few minutes about where we were both from and sports. I made a promise, to return - which I so far did not have time to. Now I will. And this is my review! My breakfast was epically badass! Truly. Totally and utterly and perfectly prepared. No burns. I ordered a poached egg, and that chef in the kitchen did it better than I would have. Better than me. So cool! Not only that, but my entire dish was flavorful beyond belief (see delicious pics). The eggs were 'country' eggs - they tasted soo much better. The sausage was also very unique and tasty - it was nicely roasted and had a nice sear. The casing was a throwback to when real butchers made real meats! Not the tofu, cardboard-meat that J-Lo, little starving millennials and Taylor try to put in our manly bodies. Real flavor! Real meat! Strong coffee! The service too, was so genuine, so happy and polite it was a breath of fresh air when compared to many places where waitresses have just blank stares and that 'deer in the headlight' ('got to pay my kids' bills because I married a dummy')-type brainlessness. It doesn't matter how you look, where you're from; if you are a biker in leather or a guy in a tie: you will get positive country vibes only and warm friendliness. Chris' Chuck Wagon Diner is awesome! I am thinking about going back tomorrow. The food is craftily made, eclectic in variation and tasty. Please order what is on the menu!! Epic place. Doing it right! Farmhands, workers and cowboys everywhere, love this place! Review: 5++
