Maple shade lives up to its name and gets by with SHADY business practices. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP, especially if you plan on purchasing a car that is in transit! They WILL NOT honor your interest rate or your proposed price and they will NOT make right on THEIR mistakes! I'm an out of state customer and I accepted a proposal on a MZ3 carbon AWD sedan in March after doing a lot of shopping around a bunch of dealerships within a 150 mile radius of my home town (which doesn't have a Mazda dealership itself). Maple shade did not have the car I was looking for on the lot, but did have one in transit, and they gave me the best proposal by a big enough margin that I figured it would be fine to wait the extra month for the car to come in over purchasing from a different dealership that had the car on the lot (See photos attached to this review). I had other dealerships send me proposals on the wrong cars, so I confirmed with the sales rep that the proposal I received was for the car I was looking for, to which he confirmed (attached photo). I accepted the proposal and was told that my interest rate (at that point 4.29%) and my out the door price was locked in, I just had to wait for the car to come in. The expected delivery date came and went, and I inquired about the status a few times during my waiting period, all the while being told that it was on the way and not to worry, my interest rate and price was locked in and everything was all set for when the car came in. Fast forward two months after I accepted the proposal, a month later than expected. I received a call from my sales rep telling me that the car made it to the lot, but there was a problem. They would not be able to honor my interest rate. "Mazda financing has changed in the last two months and it's out of our hands" he said. My interest rate was going to be 6.9%. He escalated my call to a supervisor (and as far as I'm aware, he's the owner of the dealership) who THEN tells me it looks like there's an issue with my out-the-door price, that it was too low, and they wouldn't be able to honor that because i was "Misquoted for a FWD Mz3" even after I confirmed with the sales rep, 2 months prior, that the proposal was for an AWD variant of the car. I sent the supervisor the email chain and he refused to budge at all on his out the door price, even though his dealership caused two GIANT mistakes that would have cost me a sum of 4 thousand dollars and an increase of over $60/month over the course of the 60 month loan. This has got to be some of the most abhorrent business practices I have ever experienced. Not only did Maple Shade hook me with a bait-and-switch low price (And yes, regardless of what you say Maple shade, giving a different price 2 months in after I requested confirmation in my initial discussion and refusing to budge is a BAIT AND SWITCH), they did it during a period where the swing in interest rates was absolutely nuts with a car that is rarely readily available on the lots. When I put my deposit on this car I could have purchased the same car at a closer dealership and had it within a week with the lower rate and made out better than what maple shade tried to peddle to me two months into waiting. After Maple shade pulled this stunt on me I went back to searching online and luckily was able to find a more local (within an hour) car, on the lot, that was the exact same make, model, and trim, with additional optional features, at a lower out the door price than Maple Shade's new proposal, that got even better with a little negotiating. Suffice to say I purchased from that dealership over Maple Shade, although due to the interest rate I still would have been better off purchasing two months ago. Maple Shade, I'm not done with you. This review will be left everywhere I can place it. You wasted my time, money, and patience with this crap and you WILL be held accountable for it. read more

I dropped off my Mazda for service and returned in the afternoon after they let me know it was ready. Things were fine with people at the counter until I had to deal with the senior lady at the register and her nasty attitude and arrogance, which from my point of view as costumer it's unacceptable. She misfiled my paperwork and that brought out her frustration and screwed up my whole experience at that place. When you buy a car at MAPLE SHADE, MAZDA, TURNERSVILLE you're promised a lot of different things. The problem is you could never get your car in for service they're not open Saturdays they never have appointments. There's nothing available for months in advance. And addition if you don't have your car serviced on a regular basis they won't honor the warrantee that they give you which is only at the dealership. In addition, the oil changes that they give you are free if you can get in to get an appointment. Go to another dealer buy another car maybe Turnersville at Penske they're much better. I was quoted a brake job at Turnersville Mazda, which was a ridiculous price. I ended up bringing it to Toyota at Penske Toyota in Turnersville. Poor service department, I just paid them $200 for a 37.5k service, in which they were supposed to top off all fluids, guess what - none of the fluids look topped off, worse still, the coolant level is below low (see attached pic). There was a slight wobble on the steering, which balancing the wheels (included in said service) was supposed to fix, still there. The 2 things I think they did do was change the oil and rotate the wheels. Now I have to go get the fluids and too them off myself. This place is for vehicles under warranty only, and even if I had a vehicle with a warranty I would never bring my car here as the mechanics are lazy. To preface- my car is my baby, I do most of the work myself but as it had an active recall I brought it to the dealership to address some issues. I brought my 2009 Mazdaspeed3 in for a recall and 75k mile service. I also told them that the headlights weren't working correctly because the ballasts and igniters were failing. I asked them to check for a noise in the front suspension and to see why the new brakes were squealing. The mechanic who did the service did an unbelievably poor job. He cut every corner, he reattached my headlight using just 1 of the 4 bolts required! It was literally shaking on my drive home. I found the other 2 bolts wedged under my windshield wiper. The covers for the wiper tray were pried off and never put back on. The entire undertray was reattached using just 5 plastic screws, I had to replace the other 10. I have no doubt it would have fallen off at high speeds. They ended up charging me $350 just to diagnose that the ballasts and igniters were failing, even though I had already told them that!!! They then wanted $650 JUST FOR PARTS, so I went online and found the exact same OEM parts for $80... In all I spent $1000 for them to install the End Links that I PROVIDED, do an oil change and do an awful job putting my car back together. They never even looked for the noise in my front suspension, or addressed the squealing brakes. And the kicker! After getting my car back, all sorts of new electrical gremlins- the clock button no longer works, cant set the correct time. The AC temperature now displays in Celsius and cant be adjusted! I ended up spending my weekend taking my front end apart to fix the headlights myself, and learning all about the corners they had cut. NEVER GO HERE! read more

Awful service department. Quoted me for $2000 dollars worth of maintenance/repairs after a routine inspection. Went to midas to get a second quote- they told me that they completely lied about a lot of the things I was quoted for (said my tires looked almost brand new, said my brake flush is clear as can be, said my battery is good, the list goes on). That was about $900 dollars worth of lies. Then, the stuff Midas said I should do (brake pads, rotors, cabin and engine air filters), Mazda quoted that at $1100 and they are doing it for $700. I tried to make an appointment at 12:55 on my lunch break and she tells me "they're on lunch til 1, you can try again later." How about no because 1pm is when my lunch break is over. So no, Sabrina, I can't. I also tried to call and ask if there were any coupons and Kait had told me "I'm not sure, but you can check our website." Again, no, if I'm paying to get a service done, you can tell me if you have any coupons. Needless to say, I canceled my appointment and will never, ever, ever be getting service here. STAY AWAY! Possible insurance fraud! If I could leave no stars I would! Traveled from Oklahoma to see family here. This incident made me miss work for 2 days. The worst dealership I have ever come across since it's the same owner as Turnersville Mazda. Got my car fixed at Turnersville Mazda. Astonished they are still in business! Has the worst communication with customer and insurance companies. Nothing would get done and there would be no updates provided unless customer calls repeatedly. Had to call insurance company to do Mazda's job for them notifying insurance company on updated damages. 8 days later for a job that should've taken a day to repair but maximum of 4 days including waiting on parts. and insurance company still doesn't have updated damages or paperwork. This dealership/owner named Pat is so rude and disrespectful threatening to tow our car due to us repeatedly calling since they were putting off fixing our car even though they said we are top priority but doesn't show it and gaslights. Has zero respect for military members as well. There is ZERO TRUST. Kept saying they would get it done earlier and take care of it but had excuses to why getting it fixed was delayed such as "they don't have time with booked appointments". Miraculously they got the car fixed in same day after arguing how long it took after they tried saying they didn't have time and should get it done the next day even though they said they were booked with appointments the next day. Overcharged labor rates 215 dollars an hour. Went to the dealership to get it repaired somewhere else and look at previous parts that got replaced the dealership claimed was "sheered" then "shattered" even though the part had only a few scratches. The new trustworthy repair shop said the part does not look damaged enough to be replaced at all and the dealership was causing more unnecessary damages and separated parts that had to have been hammered to be removed. Never got notified when car was put together and they wanted to keep the car longer claiming more damages. When getting the car back there was a dash camera set up that they ripped out and left hanging over passenger side assuming they didn't want to be recorded even though the dash camera is always unplugged to not drain car battery. There was no reason for it to be ripped out. Also, when leaving the dealership the desk lady named Juanita wanted us to sign paperwork without letting us have copies and immediately pulled the paperwork away saying nevermind you don't need to sign this when wanting to review it. Finally, she refused to hand over all copies of paperwork pertaining to the car repairs. Noticed later on they replaced the bad wheels in the front with brand new ones as requested but put the bad one on the rear and took the good rear wheel. They are INCOMPETENT!! Save yourself the headache and stay away!! read more

*For the Service Department Only* I have taken my 2020 CX-30 here for every service since we got the car. Every time, the folks in the Service Department take the time ti explain the different service options, and are very honest about what is important, optional, and unnecessary. I even had an off-service issue with one of my tires, wherein I fully expected to have to buy one, if not two, new tires. They took a look at the issue, and told me that it was purely cosmetic, not structural. I was a bit skeptical, as it looked bad, but the gentleman in the Service Department said, "I'll put it to you this way: if you had purchased the warranty from the dealer, this would not be covered. I'll replace it if you want, but the structural integrity of the tire is unaffected." Another time, a different gentleman took the time to understand my intentions for the vehicle in the next few years, and make a service package recommendation based on the implications of each package down the road. Their combination of patience, clarity, and honesty is rare, and greatly appreciated. read more

What an absolute garbage experience. I came here recently to test drive the Mazda 3 to replace my current 2016 Honda Civic EX. My salesperson, Marta, couldn't even tell me how or why a $23,000 dollar car doesn't have a standard cupholder. She had no clue how the entertainment system worked in the car, and was just guessing scrolling through the menus trying to figure out how anything worked. The brochures for a brand new 2019 car were not even available so I was asked to look at a basic printout on paper with things highlighted by hand to see what the differences were between models of $20,000+ dollar cars. This isn't even the start of it. After the test drive I was given ridiculous options to lease a very basic Mazda 3. $400+ dollar a month payments for a lease. They wanted $4,000-$5,000 dollars down to even get me close to what I wanted to pay. Their website acts like they're giving great deals, but every deal requires $4k+ down payment. I expressed to them that I currently was paying $215 for a Civic EX with more features than the Mazda 3 that I had driven that day. The 2016 Civic EX that I lease only has 15,000 miles on it. I expressed to them that I would like to explore the idea of trading this vehicle in, even though it is a lease, as the mileage is so low. Marta, my salesperson, told me that Mazda would have no interest in my vehicle, but she would get it looked at anyway, even though Mazda likely wouldn't want it. Marta returned with $400+ dollar a month payments on a basic Mazda 3, and I told her I was not interested at that price point as my current car has more features and is half the price. I was then introduced to Brian, who I presume was one of their sales managers. He expressed to me that Mazda is trying to be a luxury brand and that they are trying to be better than Honda or Toyota and that's why the prices are so high. This is surely backed up by the idea that they don't even have brochures for their 2019 "luxury brand" cars... and I'm looking at an excel printout with hand written highlights. Thanks Brian but my 2016 Civic drove better than the Mazda and has the same or better features at half the price. From here I told him I was ready to explore other options if he couldn't give me anything better as far as price is concerned. At this point I was still interested in Mazda, but his response to this was beyond unprofessional and will deter me from ever returning to Mazda. He quickly insisted that I not leave, and to "give him a few minutes". He returned to me and simply said "here's the key back to your car, have a nice day". Unreal. No willingness to talk more about numbers, cars, used, incentives, possible purchase options later if more incentives come about, nothing. I drove to Burns Honda about 15 minutes down route 73 and got a better car at almost half the price ($220 a month for a 2019 Civic Sport with the same features), with an insanely nicer staff and a night and day buying experience. They worked with us on price, down payment, credit score, they offered incentives, offered extra down payment due to recent college graduate, asked about all of our financial situations, and genuinely cared about us to get us into the right car at the right price. Mazda as a company should be ashamed of this horrible dealership. The whole place was dead from start to finish and we witnessed the only other couple in the building walk out before us due to the ridiculous pricing and sheer lack of empathy, care, or willingness to negotiate or try to get us into a vehicle that we could have loved to own. They gave us the numbers sheet and basically told us to get out if we didn't want to pay the "luxury price" of a Mazda. Sorry to break it to you Brian, but Mazda is not luxury... but if they want to be luxury some day, they should hire someone more professional than you. read more

I have a 2016 CX-5 and it's great. The service station has nice enough employees. I would recommend not planning to wait. Especially if you have places to be. I made a 7:30 appointment for this morning. I arrived on time, checked in at the front desk, and then was told the first technician comes in at 8. Although the staff is pleasant, when I renew my lease I will go elsewhere. The sales staff was not up front with costs; they told me what they though I wanted to hear and a few days later after I signed the agreement I received a letter with increased costs. The service people are very nice, but if you work there are no early hours to drop you vehicle off for service. The service are waiting room is disgusting...dirty and smells like an old ashtray and burnt coffee. If you have allergies, or need to go somewhere after you car is service, forget it....you'll need to shower first. And there is no other area to wait for your car. I dropped my vehicle off for an oil change on March 14, 2023, and a strange noise when I pushed on the brakes. I was contacted hours later stating my brakes were installed incorrectly, and that it would be best to return the car. I purchased the car in Texas so that was not an option, they did contact the Mazda warranty department who insisted before they covered anything I would need to purchase 1200 dollars tires for my car to complete any repairs. I agreed so that I could get my car properly repaired, after that I was advised the warranty would cover the breaking replacement needed but the parts would not be in until the end of May. I requested a loaner car but was provided one with mileage restrictions, I requested due to my commute to work it would need to be lifted and that was granted. After a week of keeping the loaner car, I was asked to return it not once but twice and I did as request. As I was traveling two tires on the passenger side on the last loaner car blew out. I contacted maple shade and was advised I would need to bring the car back the same way they gave it to me, so I went to Midas and purchased two tires for $649 Soon as I drove off the tires busted again, Midas requested I bring it back and determined it was the rims, I was sideswiped while trying to turn into Midas. I contacted Maple Shade again and was advised I had to get the car to them, so I got it towed for $127.00. I was then contacted by Maple Tree requesting I do an insurance claim due to the damages and I did which is another $500 for the deductible. I've don't everything they've requested, and they have refused to give me another loaner car. I had to rent a car which has cost me another $534.17 to commute to work and I have been unable to get any type of assistance from maple shade, all I keep getting is what they can not do. They have been rude and very hard to work with since day 1 of me dropping my car off. When I asked to speak with a manager, no one was ever available nor contacts me back. I need transportation until my vehicle is repaired whenever that'll be. This deserve one star. Don't take your car here if you want to be treated like crap especially women! read more

I am giving this dealership one star even though it should get no stars because they continue to fail to repair my horn properly after being here multiple times to have it repaired and they always want to give me a hard time when I try to schedule an appointment for anything. They now want to charge me $130 for a quote. First off they failed to fix it multiple times it isnt fair. All they care about is money. They also say because there are after market products in the vehicle that it could be why it doesn't work. The horn stopped working before any of the after market products went into my vehicle. I had to go out and purchase a seperate horn and button and install it myself and they are giving me a hard time about it. Well maybe if they fixed it the first time properly I wouldn't have had to install a seperate horn. I do not recommend doing any business with Maple Shade Mazda. read more

You don't go to a car dealership expecting a party, but you also don't expect an experience this awful! We showed up with a car picked out- we knew exactly what we needed, and had confirmed via the website that the model and color were in stock. The sales guy who "helped" us knew less about the dealership specials than we did, and didn't bother initiating small talk during the test drive- which made it REALLY awkward. Not to mention, he was condescending to me (as a girl) and kept deferring to my boyfriend for anything financial- even though the car would be listed in my name. We were told the color we wanted was not in stock, and trading for it from their sister dealership would be an additional cost. Not sure why a discrepancy on THEIR website should result in cost to US... We were basically made to feel uncomfortable throughout the whole process, as if we were being difficult by knowing what we wanted and not settling for less. They made no effort to compromise on the price even though there were no other customers in the (sadly outdated) office. In the end, he told us he would call in a few hours to let us know about pricing options, and we never heard back. Super insulting and un-professional. So after scurrying around from real dealership to real sleazy dealership I, by chance, drove a Mazda 3 for about 300 miles over a long vacation weekend and wanted one immediately thereafter. I looked around for Mazda dealerships and saw that Maple Shade Mazda had exactly what I want. I don't have the best credit, but their sales manager Mark and Larry my sales associate worked together to help get me a deal that was within my budget. Low key and low stress, and good small talk along the way. Don't get me wrong, car buying is like getting teeth pulled... and if you haven't been there than trust me when I say that buying a car sucks way more cause you don't get nitrous oxide. My experience with Maple Shade Mazda, however, was without most of of that. Only about 4 hours on a Saturday to finance. Great used model in good mechanical condition, all original manuals materials provided. Drove out same day and the car runs great. Will update soon with temp tags plates, etc. read more

Went to this dealership to see a specific car that was listed as "in stock" in their online inventory. We drove about 45 minutes in the rain. When we got there, they told us that the car was not in stock, and actually would not be for six more weeks. When we objected to the online listing of a car that was not actually in stock, the sales associate smirked and told us we should have called first. My husband and I walked out, only to have the sales associate chase us out and say, "We'll make you a great deal if you come back in!" We went back through the rain, only to be told that they thought we were looking for a completely different Mazda model. When we reminded them which car we were interested in, they quoted us a price. We looked up the price when we got home, and it wasn't remotely competitive. I would recommend that you look elsewhere if you're in the market for a Mazda. read more

Sigh. Maple Shade Mazda, you disappoint again. I've already left my complaint regarding the service department (review below), so I'll save this review to bemoan the sales side. After finally tiring of expensive repairs, I decided to check out new (slightly more practical) cars, and headed into Mazda because for what it's worth, I really have loved my car. The sales lady who helped us (shout out to Marta) was super friendly, not particularly pushy, and helped us look into the exact car I wanted. However, she quickly turned things over to the finance guy, and that's when things went downhill. He laughed in my face more than once (and let's be real, once is too much), tried to throw out a bunch of numbers rapidly in the hopes of confusing, and treated me as if I was an idiot. He wrote out a horrific deal, which I was able to beat on similar cars at other dealers by over $50/month. Don't go here. As promised, I wanted to give an update once I got the Sirius installed and the plates and was all "official". So far, so good. The service department is speedy and they're all really kind and easy to deal with. I dropped off my car to have the Sirius installed and they gave me a loaner (the biggest SUV they had) that I could use in the meantime. The installation took one work day and I had my car back by the end of the day. With more tunes. The wiring was done really seamlessly and everything sounds and looks good overall. Another plus is that every now and then, Dan checks on me. He checked on me yesterday, in fact! He called and asked if I was still enjoying my Mazda 3 and if it had taken me on any trips. I thought that was very cute, and really accurate, if you think about it. We technically drive the car, but the car really does take us! He isn't annoyingly calling me every week (though he did ask me yesterday if I knew of any family members or friends who were "in need of a car and wanted to be part of the Zoom Zoom Family") In short, I'm still quite happy. Would strongly recommend Maple Shade Mazda to anyone. read more

Soooooo.... I was looking for a new car. The first dealership I pulled into was Maple Shade Mazda. I have to say that buying a car is never really a "pleasant" adventure. However, I do have to say that my sales associate, Ryan, really did a fantastic job working with our need and budget. He wasn't the typical pushy salesman and was very friendly. He spent a lot of time with us that day even though we didn't end up purchasing a car- that day anyway. After purchasing my car, Ryan was very responsive with the follow up calls and making sure that I received my official paperwork the second it got there. I would certainly recommend that you go see Ryan - he's super! I DO have to say on a side note, and the reason I gave only three stars rather than five, is that a month later my engine light came on and I had to take my car in for service! I can only suspect that this used car had a bit of an issue prior to me purchasing it and perhaps the light was reset? But that's only my speculation. However, on the UP side- their service department rocks! They are very friendly and patient. They also gave me a loaner car, which I thought was VERY convenient (but it only had a quarter tank of gas! had to fill up to get back to Philly!!!) I had my car damaged while parked at a parking garage. The garage said they would pay for the damages. This mazda dealership took full advantage charging way more than necessary. However that is not my complaint, as I had nothing to pay. That just shows how dishonest they are. My complaint is that they damaged the rear bumper and would not take responsibility for it! They denied they did it, when I know for a fact the rear bumper was 100% undamaged when I dropped the car off. I have warned the garage insurance company to stay clear from them from now on. I am also urging all those reading this review to beware as well. There are plenty of other, honest mazda dealerships out there. read more

Manager treaded our family with so much disrespect! Told two salespeople to shut our children up! Yes, children can be bored and antsy of the situation, but they weren't climbing desks or otherwise, but we're playing with some toys in their small waiting area. This manager was disrespectful of shopping families and intolerant. When to its Turensville locatio. Much better service. Quick and helpfull. Bought a car in almost 1/2 hour, compared to the almost 2 hour wait of Maple Shad Mazda and very little service. One of the reasons children can get a little bored. read more

Worst Mazda dealer in the area . Every time I go in there all you get is attitude. The service department is slow and expensive. I never heard of a modern day business closing for lunch where they won't answer the phone at lunchtime. That's the only time I can call to find out what's going on with my car. Don't go here and waste your time there are three other Mazda dealers in the area. Not close to my house but not worth the aggravation either. read more

Driving south on rt73 around 12:30AM on a Sunday night, I encounter a 2008 Impala trying to pass, and keeps bouncing back and forth from right to left lanes depending on traffic, but not getting anywhere. There's hardly anyone on the road and we are going 60+ in a 50 anyhow. Finally they break through and shoot through at least 70-80. At the next light I come up behind them and notice a dealer tag with a Maple Shade Mazda frame. DFA 50 -16 Really? WTF? I look up the car and notice it in the online inventory. So they have the employees beat on the cars in their spare time? Just pass out a dealer tag like candy any anything goes? Don't know who they were, as I couldn't even see a figure over the back of the seat, they were so short. Don't think that I'm going to buy anything there. At the next light they start driving 30-40.
