    Side of home fries

It's been awhile since I last ate at the Sweet Spot. I will be the first to admit that my expectations were pretty low. However, I was shocked to see that they were packed on a Sunday morning. Thankfully we were able to be seated immediately at what looked to be the last available table. I took that as a good sign. We sat for awhile before our server came to greet us. We hadn't realized that the menu was via a QR code on the table. Once I pulled it up, I was pleasantly surprised to see a menu that was a bit more elevated than the traditional diner food that I remembered before. Just a note that the menu definitely favors carnivores. I ordered the Cali Breakfast Bowl but switched out the cheese and asked for my bacon on the side, which I gave to my son. My daughter ordered the fruit crepe. My son was happy to take advantage of the gluten free French toast. The food was good. My kids ordered an iced chai with oat milk and a hot chocolate with oat milk. Neither were blown away. So I probably would stick to basic drinks like juice or coffee. All of the servers appeared to be high school/ college girls. They were all polite. I have no issues with returning again in the future.

THEY ARE STEALING PEOPLES MONEY & THEY BLATANTLY LIED TO OUR FACES. I placed an order over the phone today & during the call she said that she was only able to take payment over the phone, not when I got to the restaurant. I paid the fee & upon retrieving my food I noticed that a gratuity fee had been added to my bill. When I made them aware of this they brought out the manager & he appeared to have an attitude. He then proceeded to tell me that there was nothing he could do because the food was already prepared and he stated that information about being charged gratuity for orders placed over the phone was located on their website. I then went to the website to verify this information and it was NO WHERE to be found. This will be my first and last time coming to this establishment. Their attitudes are very lackadaisical and rude.

Proof they no food is complained about.

Almost empty restaurant. Semi full staff. 4 filled tables.... After long wait, someone from the bar area finally said seat ourselves. Ordered drinks, did not receive menus. Didn't know menus are only available thru QR code because no one mentioned it or even where to find menus.. Overheard it (while waiting forever for water and coffee) from another waitress who sat the table long after us. Coffee was bitter and couldn't eat pancakes - no flavor at all beyond bread. Syrup was watered down so much, it was no longer sweet nor represented maple flavor. If food was good, I could easily overlook the service. But food was below a 1 star rating except for the bacon, which was a 10. Menu says "all items ordered will remain on your check" so my advice is don't bother complaining, just pay the bill and don't return.

    Nashville Breakfast Scrambler Bowl

We went to The Sweet Spot on a Friday morning around 10am. We were greeted quickly and placed a to-go order at the counter. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. We had an omelet, Nashville Scrambler Breakfast Bowl, and basic scrambled eggs and bacon. We enjoyed everything. The Breakfast Bowl had Nashville hot sauce which was so good. It had a sweet element and smoky spicy ness to follow. The restaurant is a small place but so homey and relaxing. Lots of soft lighting as well. Can't wait to try other menu items.

Was in Concord running errands and wanted a good hearty breakfast. So decided to try them out. Wait was over 30min since such a small place and was pretty crowded. I got the omelette/pancake combo. Was very good but I do wish they had hot syrup in a bottle instead of packets of cold syrup. Hot would have definitely made the pancake better. My waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Amelia had great customer service but the food and the flies are RIDICULOUS. I shouldn't have to fight the flies away from my food and even the waitress know it . One said i know they are bad like wtf . The food has no seasoning like you should cook the grits longer until they are popping on the stove . Then i heard the guy in the kitchen talking crap about a customer that came through the door

Food was good. Potatoes didn't have any seasoning. Omelets only come with egg and cheese. Everything else is a .65-.90 cent add on. Tea was amazing! There was no wait and the waiter was nice. I would stick to the pancakes, waffles, and French toast though.

Amylia. Amylia, AMYLIA!!! Absolutely amazing and such a welcomed experience. The food is almost as good lol. Jk, the food is fresh, full of flavor, and portioned just right. Today marks the 3rd day in a row (kitchen is under construction at home) and I'm sure it will be the start of many many more. They have a big projection screen which plays cartoons for the littles and another tv that can match or put something else on. Perfect setting to sit and digest the amazing meal while enjoying friendly banter with anyone in ear shot. Absolutely love this place! See y'all again soon!!

First time visiting the place. The food and presentation could've been better. Doubt I would return.

Omelette and home fries with a biscuit
    Kendra B.

Get an omelette and the home fries. That's it. That's the post. Just kidding... but seriously, I've come to this place for years and I think they have some of the best omelettes. The service is sometimes hit or miss, but they are extremely generous with their omelette fillings (meat and veggies). The portion size is huge and I always have leftovers. The home fries are also some of the best. Again, generous portion size and they are seasoned well with peppers and onions. It's a kid friendly type of restaurant and can get busy on weekends so get there at a good time.

I ordered the Five and Dime Biscuit with the Peach Berry Lemonade. The biscuit comes with a chicken strip, bacon, egg (cooked how you want it), and either sausage(what I got) or mushroom gravy. Is it messy? Yes. Is it good though? Yes! The peach berry lemonade was a definite star for me because it didn't have actual berries at the bottom and it wasn't an overwhelming flavor from both the peach and berry. We also got the chicken and waffles and they were great as well. The churro latte was fine, it wasn't my favorite, but it was still good for what it was. All still a really good breakfast place to stop by whether you are in a rush or you want to sit down and converse.

Brought to our table after we had ordered it at the counter. The inside had a lot of seating options and they had an outdoor patio as well. The store was clean-ish. My star deduction comes from the pricing. It is HIGH for a chicken biscuit!! (As well as the beverages) I'm from Bojangles country and 12.00+ for a chicken biscuit even with egg and gravy on it hurts my heart. But I'll say it again, it was good. A regular soda is $3.49. I REFUSE!!!! to ever pay that. But for a special occasion or maybe a girls brunch where you only for yourself it's doable.

Apparently their specialty coffee is only served iced, so the only option is regular brew. I opted out since I can do that at home. I really enjoyed the Morning Meditation fresh squeezed juice during my last visit but this location was out of ingredients and I was unable to get it. Water it is. For my meal I ordered the Biscuits & Gravy with eggs. I love how the gravy is made with turkey sausage. As a non pork eater I struggle to find places that serve non pork gravy and was so glad they had turkey sausage based gravy that I could devour. It comes with their seasoned potatoes but based on the reviews I decided to swap for grits. The biscuits & gravy were my favorite part of the meal. I wish it came with 2 instead of a side. I got my eggs scrambled. It was ok, typical container eggs. Next time I'll try fried hard eggs so I can have a real egg. The grits... they gave me the hard part that's usually found stuck to the bottom of the pan. Some parts were regular after I scraped the hard parts out. No flavor, I definitely needed to add salt & pepper. I'll be back for sure but will probably try to get the biscuits & gravy w/o a side.

This is a nice restaurant situated in a little old single-story house that faces onto an inner courtyard in the old part of Huntersville. Everyone in our group had some kind of breakfast offering ... and they offered some really creative choices. Service was on point, and everything came out together and hot. The only misstep was the lack of onion on one order. Coffee was hearty. They have a lot of outdoor seating in back facing the courtyard, and even some in the front yard: these outdoor arears effectively double the seating capacity of the restaurant, and both are totally dependent on the weather.
