When my wife wants Thai food this is the only place we order from. We always order take out so this review is based solely on the food, our phone and limited interaction experience. Sometimes they can be a bit difficult to reach on the phone. The food is amazingly good but portions seem to have been made smaller post covid, so that's a bummer. This restaurant is located in Maple valley. I'd like to first complement the interior. The lightning was perfect for my taste. I don't like too much light and because I came alone, I was able to be seated at a booth that faced the bar. Perfect for eating on ones own. Because I was stopping in for a short time I did not enjoy a full meal and only ordered an appetizer. The Crispy Spring Rolls were excellent ! I also ordered a Thai tea. My husband and I come here probably once a week (maybe once every two weeks at least) on average. Seriously, EVERY time we come here, the food is amazing. Everything is freshly prepared, and they have a great beer and wine selection. Staff are friendly and professional, wine service was great the other night. The only downside to coming here is that they get busy pretty frequently in the evening and service is a little slower during those times. Patience is a virtue when this place is full and they have both dine-in and take-home customers in their tiny lobby. Highly recommended. read more

Updating my review because after our most recent experience we will never be back, regardless of how good the food is. While waiting to place our order a woman came in with a to go order that was incorrect. Long story short there was a misunderstanding between her and the guy that took her order. Simple mistake, could've happened to anyone. The manger came out and told her that they'd remake her food but she had to pay for it. The customer argued that it was incorrect so she wouldn't be paying a second time for the meal she ordered. The manager looked at the kid that took the order and told him he was going to pay for it. He was taken aback and looked embarrassed but didn't say anything. When the customer left he told the manager he didn't want to have to pay for it but she said too bad. So we called him over and told him to put it on our tab. It was probably a whole hour of pay for him. He said he couldn't but thanks. So we later asked our server to put it on our bill, she asked the manager and she said no. Then we asked the managers name and our server said she couldn't tell us. We gave the kid cash on our way out to cover the meal. I have never seen a manager so degrading to their employees, rude to their customers, and down right nasty. No one should be treated the way she treated her employees, and she know they are young and less assertive, so she clearly takes liberties that are not acceptable. My husbands food was burned but we didn't say anything because we didn't want the cook to have to pay for it or something ridiculous like that. The best Thai food in maple valley! We've ordered here twice. It's decent Thai for the maple valley area. Nothing super special but I don't rave about it either. Good enough for me to get my Thai fix when in a crunch but if we're willing to drive a bit further we definitely have other options over this place. Portions are small for the prices. The first time we ordered it was a large order. The second time was smaller. I would say the second time was better maybe because it wasn't a large of an order they weren't overwhelmed? But that shows it lacks consistency for sure. Would I eat and order here again? Yes when I want Thai and we don't want to go too far from home. Absolutely awesome Thai food, especially for out here in the country! We eat a lot of Thai food, both at home as well as many different Thai restaurants around the country. This nice little find, rates well above average! The decor is beautiful and makes great use out of a fairly small space. The decor is warm and private, with real wood paneling, tasteful lighting and plenty of booths. We tend to enjoy our Thai cuisine more on the spicy side, and many Thai restaurants are reluctant to hit the level that we want. This place made it perfectly to our request! After paying $13.95 for curries, they don't include rice! The lady asked me if I wanted rice with my red curry. I asked what comes with it? She goes, "oh, nothing, just curry!" Best Tom Kha soup the wife and I have had anywhere. Penang beef curry, crispy garlic chicken and crab fried rice - all delicious. Even the condiments - not sure if it was nam plaprik or prik namsom that they have in the cold caddy, but it is awesome. The restaurant itself looks great inside, still looks new and clean. The waitstaff are very friendly and were even handing out Yum Earth fruit snacks to the kids on our last visit. I have been a customer here for years. Over that time I have ordered the same thing, pork pad Thai spiced level 3. It's always been pretty inconsistent. Sometimes too hot, sometimes not hot enough. But tonight after waiting 40 minutes long than their time estimate for my food, I get home to find that the food was so hot it was inedible. I called them, abs they said come in and they would make a new one. When I got to the restaurant the girl at the counter proceeded to lecture me about how it was the usual spice level abs that I should order differently. Maple Valley Thai is in the same business space as the recently closed Moon Garden Chinese Restaurant. This restaurant was very nicely decorated and very inviting. Furniture is much more comfortable than the other Thai restaurant across the street. My son and I shared the Cashew Chicken and Red Curry. Both were very good. Lunch special comes with Phad Thai, steam rice, and soup. If you like hot spicy food, make sure to ask for the Thai chili pepper tray. Since this is a Thai restaurant, I recommend you stick with the Thai cuisines offered. I had Mongolian beef here on another occasion and it was not very good. Service was quick and very friendly. The food is good but the service not so much. They messed up my order and I had to go back and instead of just swapping it out they charged me more since it was beef not chicken. The least they could have done is just get me the right order but to charge more is not ok. Maybe next time you actually just refund the item that you messed up on. read more

***This review is for the service, not the food*** When they actually DECIDE to answer the phone, the wait times for take out have gotten outrageous and half the time the order is completely wrong (I would say at least 60% of the time they don't answer the phone or you just get a busy signal) Last time we ordered, they gave our order to someone else then made us wait an additional 45 minutes to re make the food. Don't worry, they still charged us full price after waiting an hour and a half. Emailed the owner to ask what is going on with the phones and service and got no response. I am SO glad business is that great you no longer need anyone's business. It is a shame because the food really is the best Thai in Maple Valley (the other place in town is pretty gross :( ) Please please please get your act together. Really a shame because the food is good but the management is so screwed up. This is the 2nd time I am told as I walk in the door at 2:20 pm that they are closed until dinner at 4 pm. The sign on the door says continuous hours until 9 pm. I don't know whether to take this personally or not (I'm a very good tipper) but I will never go there again for either take out or dine in. If you decide to go, better be careful if it is near 2 oclock. It takes them 2 hours to get ready for dinner. Rude and nasty is what I would say for the greeting that I received. We are new to WA from the bay area, and this is our favorite Thai place! We've only done take out, but the restaurant has a nice romantic atmosphere when you walk in! Would be great for date night! We've had, beef panang curry, cashew chicken, chicken green curry fried rice, chicken wings & the chicken green curry lunch combo so far and everything is amazing! The lunch combos are great since you also get some phad thai and rice with your entree! They are pretty fast, about 15-20 minutes for pick up after calling! We're looking forward to trying more of their menu! If you're not big on spicy, I'd stay away from the spicy entrees as the mild is more med-hot spicy to me and we usually order med at other thai restaurants. The flavor is on point, the Decour is beautiful, but the restaurant is a tad on the small side. I have never had anything bad from this restaurant to this date. I was dying while I was eating cause their AC was broken when we came here but it was fixed right after we were done eating. All the food my sister and I order was made so sweet. My sister liked it but I don't really have a sweet tooth so I really didn't like it. I had a lot of Thai food before in my life and I know it not suppose to taste like that and I did ask for all my food to be made with medium spices level and It was not spicy at all. After eating I felt sick because of the sugar overload. I probably won't come back here unless to order food for my sister only. Loved the phad kee mao, very well done with just the right amount of spice without it being overbearing, the poor was nice and tender and not overdone, and the noodles were really well cooked! I hate it when other places cook the noddles unevenly, you end up with some really good pieces on top and sticky mush in the middle - the kee mao here was the best I've had.
