I have to say that I probably would not have returned if my friends didn't say they were meeting here. It's been almost 9 years... at least from this experience, they seem to have moved in a positive direction. My friends got there first, and it was my first time in that plaza in a long time... reception still drops to near zero haha. I joined them at their table and the gentleman taking care of us was making his rounds efficiently. It was a Friday night, and the place wasn't full, but there were multiple people at the bar and multiple tables full, including one large party. I wasn't super hungry, but I did get some sushi that hit the spot. My friends enjoyed everything they got as well, including some cocktails. I remember back in the day they had happy hour until 8:00... looks like it's been adjusted to 7:00 now Monday-Saturday, and until 9:00 on Sunday... neat! Specials apply to various sushi rolls, wines, beers, and cocktails. All this to say, my experience was much better than the previous times, and everything that made me rate them low before wasn't apparent. I'll have to visit them again and see how consistent it is.

I haven't been to East Moon in almost a year, but this place used to be my go-to spot...and I'm happy to say nothing has changed. The veggie basil fried rice and shrimp Singapore noodles are still consistently good, okay! I placed a delivery order tonight and it arrived within 30 minutes, piping hot and super fresh. Everything was prepared exactly how I requested, which I truly appreciate. Quality, consistency, and attention to detail like that are why East Moon stayed one of my staples for so long and why it's officially back. If you're craving reliable, flavorful Asian cuisine, this is it!

I absolutely love East Moon Asian Bistro! I've been coming here for at least 10yrs, when my Asian BFF first introduced me. I figured if she loved it then it has to be good..LOL! If you love or even just like Asian Fusion cuisine, then absolutely give this restaurant a try. The food is delicious. Their sushi and entrees are top notch. Last time out, my mom had the shrimp and scallop dinner while I had the crispy duck. Both were outstanding. I'm a duck lover and this duck was fried to perfection. The restaurant itself reminds you of most sit down strip mall Asian cuisine restaurants, so nothing special there. They do have a nice sized bar when you first enter, so if you want to dine solo, the bar looks cool enough. Service matched the food. Employees held both doors open while I navigated my elderly mom into the restaurant. I was impressed that they saw us coming from inside and showed that type of initiative!! I'm surprised I've never reviewed East Moon but after seeing they only have 3 stars, I had to do something about that!! PS.. The prices can't be beat. My duck dish was $22 and it was HUGE!

It's been a minute since I visited East Moon! Time for a new review! One of my besties made our way in at around 2. It was relatively empty so no waiting which is always a plus. We decided that we were going all out! sushi, yes! Entrees, yes! Drinks, absolutely! So let's get into it... I got the Bahama Mama which was a tropical and refreshing delight. She got the Pinot Grigio which was crisp and clean. 5 stars! The California roll with a little spice and shrimp tempura were right on point! Spicy where it needed to bring the kick and crunchy where it needed to bring the crunch! Great presentation and just delicious! 5 stars! So on to the entrees, which oh by the way were still under the lunch prices! We selected Mongolian Beef, Shrimp Panang and Chicken Pad Thai. All the dishes were filled with fragrant flavors and just over the top scrumptious. We agreed we LOVED them all but our favorite dish was the Panang Shrimp. Ooh! The curry was the bomb. It must have the coconut, and some other earthy goodness, with plump juicy shrimp, onions, broccoli and peppers. We tried to eat it all but our bellies failed us! Thankfully we were able to split the leftovers for another meal. Since this was a lunch menu, we also got the salad with the yummy ginger dressing. Our check was really next to nothing considering we got the works! Really I have no complaints at all!!

I went to dinner here with a friend. The servers are friendly and attentive. The interior is clean and well maintained. I ordered lemon pepper chicken as my appetizer. The chicken did not have a lemon pepper flavor. It just tasted like thickly battered fried chicken. For my entree, I ordered walnut shrimp and fried rice. There shrimp were just okay. The fried rice was dry, lacked flavor, and I didn't see any egg in the rice. I returned the fried rice and replaced it with white rice which was not dried out and tasted better than the fried rice. The friend I dined with returned her fried rice too. Her second bowl of fried rice was not dry, had flavor and it definitely had egg in it. I'm not sure why there was such a significant difference in the tow orders of fried rice. The second bowl was significantly better.

This was my first time here but I'll be back. The service was outstanding, our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was piping hot and my one drink actually gave me a buzz. Also, the portions were more than enough. The ambiance was also good as it's a decent sized place but you have an intimate feel. This establishment is also family friendly. I highly recommend dining here!

    Thai chicken

my second time ordering and I will not be back. The first time I ordered general T shrimp to go and when I got home the shrimp were so mushy and gross. Last night I ordered the Thai chicken - it didn't taste that well but bought it with me to lunch the next day. I was thinking after a day it would be better afree I warmed it up. I was dry and overcooked. I couldn't even eat it. It was so nasty.

This is a local restaurant, but these prices can only be justified by eating in the restaurant. If treated as a to-go/carry-out the cost would be ridiculous, especially with so many other Chinese style restaurants in the area. However, the food is fresh and could be healthy. Entrees are loaded with fresh veggies that still have a bite to them. Yet the sauce is too overpowering and can become too sweet. I normally ask for lite onion and lite sauce. The brown rice option continues to support healthy eating. Drinks were being offered when we patronized the establishment-Tokyo tea: a Long Island option liked and a cognac drink: name not remembered, but also liked. Our server seemed to be filling in for someone else. Not bad, service and the restaurant was relatively empty. I mention this because the bar was slow and it took a while for both food and drinks to hit the table. Space can accommodate most any type of event, occasion, or just the reason to physically sit in a restaurant for a meal. I recommend you give it a try and let me know what you think!

Still one of my favorite spots! When i worked close by my co workers and I would come here for lunch and happy hour. So i came for lunch with my mom after leaving the nail shop. I always get the wonton egg drop soup mix. And i got the sesame chicken this time. The ingredients they use are always fresh and flavorful.

Let me say this, I am impressed. This restaurant truly exceeded all expectations. The ambiance for one is great with a nice vibe and taste in music. The service from the moment you walk in is very warm and inviting. We decided to sit at the bar but wait service & carryout is available as well. Now to the food... Five stars everything was tasty and full of flavor... we were also served a side salad with our meal. I started with the spicy salmon and it was top 5 and not five ranking of all time best sushi I ever had... now the entree I got the Singapore rice noodles, A1 the taste was great and the beef was tender...my friend had the general Tao shrimp she loved it. Highly recommend I'll 100% be back! They have tasty cocktails too!

We are very much Thai fans, and the possibility of a great Thai place with great sushi was sounded almost too good to be true. And it was. Perhaps it's the dearth of quality Asian cuisine here in the Annapolis area that has falsely produced such high marks for Nova, but we found our fare to be adequate at best. (Two from our dinner party opted for the descriptor of "meh") The ambiance is cute - clean, bright, with exceptionally friendly (and numerous!) waitstaff. Our servers were helpful and attentive and we had high hopes for the experience. We started with three sushi rolls: Edgewater, Yoda, and one other whose name escapes me . The rolls were good. Not earthshatteringly good - just solid. Like a dependable Chevy truck. We also tried the sizzling steak and the chicken pad Thai. Both were almost over sauced. The pad Thai had a nice sour note (a hallmark of the dish) but it almost felt like the noodles were swimming in the sauce and, in my opinion, the noodles began to break down as a consequence. The sizzling steak felt cloyingly sweet to me - but the others in the group were quite as put off as I was. Again - making the meal simply "fine" As much as we hoped to find that hidden gem - we found that we need to continue our search for Asian cuisine in the area
