Blue Sunday is a whole vibe! The food was amazing, service is impeccable. Management and the servers kept ensuring we had what we needed. I will definitely be back because everything was great! Cheeseburger rolls were phenomenal and the lamb chops were bomb!

Blue Sunday Grill in Bowie was a really great experience overall. The customer service was easily a 10/10 -- Tim, the manager, was very attentive and made sure everything was going well, checking in consistently without being overbearing. The food was good, the drinks were solid, and the ambiance created a warm, welcoming vibe that made the experience even better. You can tell the team really cares about their guests. I had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

The happy hour drinks are a bit too sweet for my taste, not really my style. The salad, though, was genuinely good -- I expected to need extra dressing and didn't, the amount on it was just right. I thought I'd ordered catfish nuggets, but what came out were full fillets, fried perfectly, with a tartar and hot sauce combo that was an absolute chef's kiss. Staff was really, really attentive the whole time, and the crowd had a good energy to it. A solid spot overall, even with the drinks not being my thing

I decided to stop by Blue Sunday for happy hour because I had a craving for their crispy chicken wings. I sat at the bar and Dre and Trey took care of me. They're both awesome bartenders and always provide great service. I ordered a watermelon margarita along with the crispy chicken wings with Mumbo sauce and blue cheese. The wings themselves were still good, but the blue cheese was definitely different. I'm not sure if they switched suppliers, but it didn't taste like authentic blue cheese at all. The Mumbo sauce also seemed a lot spicier than I remember. It used to be really balanced and flavorful, so that change was a little disappointing. I also saw they were advertising crispy teriyaki salmon for happy hour, so I decided to try it. When it came out, it had batter on it but wasn't crispy at all, and the flavor didn't taste like teriyaki. Something about it just felt off and the taste wasn't quite right, so I ended up sending it back. Blue Sunday has always been one of my go to spots because it's close to home and usually consistent, which is why these changes stood out to me. I'm hoping this isn't the new standard and that they can tighten a few things up because I really do enjoy coming here.

I loved everything about this place. The service was on point and so were the food and drinks. I ordered the old bay wings and the spicy curry fried rice, both were really good. The chicken was cooked to perfection and wasn't too salty, also it was fresh. The fried rice had a very nice presentation and wasn't too salty full of flavor. The ambiance is nice although it can be a bit hard to read the menu-since it's pretty dim but it's a romantic setting-very good spot for a date night. The drinks were on point, I ordered a margarita-but the drinks can be a bit pricey-I believe the margarita was about $18 but that was for top shelf and I think the rail one was about $14/15 but I'm pretty sure you will have a hangover if you order the rail tequila available here. I do feel the margarita could have been a bit bigger and less iced up, but the music was good and made me forget about the price of the drink. I would recommend giving this place a try, this was original the only location I believe, but there's one located in Laurel as well as one on its way to Greenbelt. My server was excellent....... He was very attentive as well as patient--he was also very knowledgeable and gave recommendations,I wish I could remember his name....... This is also a family friendly spot as I saw multiple families dining.

I received excellent customer service as I went for happy hour. The restaurant was packed and fills with so many people enjoying their time. I tried food from their happy hour menu plus the shrimp fried rice. Most of my dishes were shrimp forward and I felt like all the shrimp dishes were filled with overcooked shrimp. However, I really enjoyed the fried chicken wings.

I typically love Blue Sunday and have tried a lot of their menu items before. On this visit in particular, I ordered 2-tacos to go and was not impressed. I think overall my best bet is to just sit and eat. This was my first time ordering to go, and I don't think I'd do that again. Not a bad experience; I just know what Blue Sunday offers and its better in person.

Some friends and I decided to come here for a quick meetup. When I say we were reminded of how STRONG the drinks are, DELICIOUS the food is and AWESOME the service is, we have put this spot back in our rotation! We ordered the peach fizz - switching out the vodka for tequila- and it was yummy! Our food orders included lemon pepper and old bay wings with mambo sauce on the side, Cesar salad, calamari, CRAB BRUSCHETTA (OMG SO GOOD) for appetizers. For enteees we had the short ribs (2 with asparagus and one with mashed potatoes) and General Tao chicken. For dessert... We had the brownie, tiramisu, and.SALTED CARAMEL CAKE (MY FAVE!!!). Everyone was DELICIOUS! That food did not have a chance with us lol Shout out to Aaliyah for AMAZING SERVICE! The ambiance was nice too and everything was CLEAN. AWESOME TIME, AWESOME food, AWESOME friends

Me and the girls enjoyed dinner at Blue Sunday Bar & Grill. My steak was pretty good, but needed salt and pepper. The mashed potatoes were the best thing I ate. So good! Our server was patient, attentive, and helpful selected our meals. She also communicated that she'd step away at sundown to eat dinner and that her colleague would be around to help us (as she was observing Ramadan). I'd go back, but I'd try something different.

Blue Sunday has a beautifully decorated interior. It gives an upscale vibe without being too too pricey. I also really appreciated the all day happy hour on Sunday. My waitress was also knowledgeable, which I appreciate. I ordered the crispy salmon teriyaki, which was tasty and a great portion for happy hour, but I wish it had a little more teriyaki sauce! I also tried the crab bruschetta, which I'd rate a 3/5. Overall I enjoyed my experience here and would return.

Always a great time for happy hour. Bartenders Trey & Dre are attentive and accurate. Food is always hot and drinks are drink-ing. Playlist is always on point. Lighting can be a little low at bar tables, phone light needed lol

    The Manager

I have been coming to this restaurant for a long time and have always enjoyed my experiences, which is why what happened during my most recent visit was so disappointing. After placing my order, my waiter forgot my drink. While I was still waiting, another customer who arrived after me ordered a drink and received it before I did. It wasn't until the waiter realized he had forgotten my drink that he brought it over and apologized. At that point, I no longer wanted the drink and asked that it be removed from my bill. The waiter told me he couldn't do that, so I asked to speak with the manager. Instead of trying to resolve the situation, the manager was dismissive and rude, insisting the drink couldn't be removed. When my bill arrived, the drink was still on it. I asked for the manager again, and this time he removed the charge. However, as I was leaving, he told me that because I didn't pay for a drink that I had returned and never consumed, I was no longer welcome in the restaurant. I simply asked not to pay for a drink that had been forgotten and that I no longer wanted. Instead of receiving good customer service, I was treated disrespectfully and ultimately banned from a restaurant I've supported for years. To make matters worse, when the owner came outside, I expected a calmer and

POV: you just found your new favorite Monday date night spot Blue Sunday Bar & Grill in Bowie understood the assignment. Started the night with the Passionfruit Promise -- tastes like a French 75 with a passionfruit twist and it's so good. Their $8 Monday specials are wild -- any flavor wings, and please don't leave without trying the Mumbo Wings (top tier). I also started with their new Beef Naan Bites (tastes like sausage pizza on naan in the best way) and the Fried Catfish Strips that come perfectly seasoned with a kale salad. If you're into sushi, the Mt. Fuji Peak Roll is a 10/10 -- fried salmon, crab meat, avocado, cream cheese, Swiss cheese, crunch, eel sauce + spicy mayo... absolutely elite. For dinner, the Ribeye Steak is that dish: smothered in a whiskey bourbon glaze and béarnaise rose sauce. Even the asparagus was a moment. Oh, and $8 Long Islands on a Monday?? I got mine strawberry and it was dangerously good. 6868 Race Track Rd, Bowie, MD 20715 If you need a Monday date night idea, this is the post. We had a 10 minute wait which wasn't bad. I ordered the Texas size combo with Chicken critters and Sirloin with a side of mashed potatoes. The plating was a bit off putting because the juice from the steak got on chicken tenders and I didn't like that. I asked for onions and mushrooms on the steak but it was drowning the steak. Most of it got pushed to the side because it was too much. Honestly, the only part of my entree that I enjoyed was the chicken critters. That doesn't include the bread and butter because that is always the star of the show here. The customer service was pretty good and fast. I do wish she would have let me know that certain things like the onions were an up charge. I haven't been here in a while and maybe it was for a good reason. The service itself was good, and even though we were quoted a 20-minute wait, it ended up being closer to 10 minutes, which was a nice surprise. Once we were seated, though, things felt a little rushed. Our server seemed ready to take our order almost immediately, before we'd even had two minutes to sit down and look at the menu. Not a huge issue, just a bit fast-paced right out the gate. I ordered the 8 oz New York strip with a sweet potato and green beans. The steak was cooked perfectly i asked for medium and it was flavorful. The sweet potato was good, but there was a bit too much brown sugar for my taste. The green beans were fresh with a nice hint of bacon, which I really enjoyed. My friend got the smothered chicken with just gravy and cheese (no peppers, onions, or mushrooms) and a side of loaded mashed potatoes, which she really liked--they were fully loaded and satisfying. She also got a side of corn, which she didn't enjoy as much because it tasted a little frozen. Her blue crushed drink was also very sweet--heavy on the syrup and not diluted enough with water. That said, the overall experience was still great. We love the atmosphere, the music, and the energy of the place. Other than feeling a bit rushed at the beginning, everything else hit the mark. I would definitely come back.

No long waits to be seated or for a waiter to come and assist you. The ambiance is like any other sports bar/pub. TV's all around for sports and a long bar. towards the bar there's additional long/high chair tables to continue happy hour fellowship or group gatherings. (wish i had pics, can't find them!) I ordered the margarita flight and i asked for LALO tequila in all of the drinks. All of them were pretty interesting. I didn't really like the blood orange margarita, but the others were cool. I decided to order a ribeye steak (never had it before at BJ's decided to step out of my norm) As did my Bf. I was a little disappointed when received our food because our steaks were different shapes/thickness, too salty & not properly cooked to our preferred doneness. We brought this up to our waitress and asked for the Head Chef to re-make the steaks. She apologized and sent it back. In the interim, we enjoyed hot honey wings & you can never go wrong with the wings! no complaints, always a solid choice. The kitchen brought us both fresh steaks, and asked us was it cooked to our liking. The ribeyes looked like ribeyes, and rather than less seasoning, it tasted like there wasn't any seasoning at all. It was better than before but not 100%. However we agreed to avoid feeling like we are complaining too much. We continued our meal, paid, tipped & left. This felt like an honest accident as this location was fairly busy due to graduation season in the area. I also felt like I couldn't expect steakhouse quality from a tavern-styled restaurant. Moreover, it's BJ's food is good for what you get. I do enjoy BJ's, I do enjoy sticking to the food I know from there, and will see myself visiting again.

Amazing food and service! The atmosphere was perfect. I will definitely be back soon!read more

Enjoyed Father's Day for the all-you-can-eat brunch this year. My friends and I were visiting and…read morethis gem was in walking distance. The buffet didn't disappoint with everything from the omelette station, carving station (roast beef and turkey), pasta, jambalaya, fried chicken and all the breakfast favorites. The restaurant is very spacious with lots of levels that are 2-3 steps up or down. Be careful to catch them all and not stumble. The service was my star deduction. The wait was 1.5 hours (added our names remotely) but upon arrival there seemed to be confusion. A server never came to take drink orders or provide silverware. We even got our first plates with nothing then had to ask the manager. She had someone come by but it was strange for such a busy day to forget us or not have assigned servers. Overall, the food was inconsistent. Some things were bland and others seasoned very well. The turkey sausage was mid and grits had no flavor - cheese grits at that. Maybe ordering off the menu will fair better. Great value for the price!

Food was consistent and tasty across the board. I kept it light with a salad and even that impressed me, which says something. The combo appetizers were a hit, everything landed. Honestly the biggest surprise was the space itself. Based on word of mouth I wasn't expecting much, but this place is significantly bigger and nicer than the reputation suggests. Clean, great decor, and music to my ears..plenty of parking! Jasper's is one of those places where the "good and bad" reputation had me curious and the actual experience had me planning a return visit. Definitely going back.

Have you ever felt like the world is conspiring against you? Like it doesn't want you to be happy?…read moreFor instance, why is this establishment so far from my house? Why is the sauce so good? Flavorful and buttery without the heavy garlic. Try the Lemon Pepper/Cajun blend. Why is the seafood so fresh? No fishy taste. Why are the hush puppies little balls of happiness? Soft in the middle with a firm bite. Why was the strawberry lemonade so refreshing? It wasn't even house made, yet it tasted amazing. The space itself has somewhat dim lighting with a large bar, perfect for drinks and seafood boils. Or seafood baskets. Or wings. Or various other appetizers. Parking is plentiful and TVs are placed strategically throughout. They also have a 90-minute AYCE special. I wasn't feeling adventurous and the entire table needs to partake, but it's worth it if you have a huge appetite. The table across from us ordered shooters but we wanted to save room for the boil :D Would I return? Absolutely. 100%. Worth every single penny, and the waitress also made sure that we were comfortable. The Pick 3 for $39.99 is an excellent deal. ***This also looks like a place that stalkers would NOT be welcome. Meaning if you went out of your way to cause a scene, it wouldn't work in your favor. Just a heads up :)

We walked in and felt welcomed immediately. The restaurant is unassuming from the exterior but when you walk in, you're in for a treat. We decided to sit at the bar, and it was just the vibe we needed. Low-key but friendly. Drinks: We arrived at the tail end of happy hour, which is two dollars off select drinks. We got two glasses of wine. Food: My husband got a Caesar salad and I got a house salad for starters. They were both good. I ordered the bacon and crab pasta, which was hearty. My husband got the salmon, which he also enjoyed. It's definitely a cute date spot or place to eat with the family. There's something for everyone.

Admittedly, the first time I visited Allison's, I didn't have high hopes - I originally wanted to go next door to Mamma (Nonna) Angela's for my Italian craving, but the group I was with was adamant about coming here instead. Well, I'm glad they did, because everything I had here was five stars and then some! From the bread, pasta, steak to the seafood, everything that graced my pretty little lips here was delicious (and served in huge portions)! I've now been to Allison's three times, and every time I come back, the offerings seem to get even better. I also appreciate how cheap the drinks here are - under $10 for a glass of wine outside of happy hour? Sign me up please! But seriously though, if you're looking for a solid spot to grab some yummy Italian (and American) fare while on your way to Waugh Chapel to go shopping, I definitely recommend Allison's Restaurant.
