This place is a hidden gem. I frequented this delightful spot for lunch when I worked in the area and always enjoyed it but never left a review. I've relocated for work and have not been in over a year. It popped in mind when the hubby said he wanted good Tex-Mex. We shared the La Gran Parillada fajita plate and it was so YUM!! My husband is still raving over the deliciousness a day later. My favorite part was the mixed veggies. It was the traditional onions and bell peppers but also had zucchini, mushrooms, and carrots. They were so tasty, I stopped eating the meat. My husband and I are not shy eaters and we still needed a to-go box. The staff was kind and young which is surprising these days. We enjoyed it and will make this spot our first choice in Tex-Mex going forward. Ate there today 04/18/26 and can't say enough good things about these folks. The wait staff was very attentive even though they were quite busy. The food is plentiful and tastes great. Sweet little place across from the Marriott Westlake. Dropped in on a less than busy Thursday evening. Sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by both bartenders. Dining room looked really nice almost formal. Ordered the chorizo and steak tacos which were very tasty though a little smallish. Loved the bean "soup" side that came with. I just enjoyed a late lunch after arriving at my hotel. Bardo was my waiter and he was super friendly and attentive. I had the tortilla soup which was really fresh and light. All the Fixin's were on the side so the tortilla never got gloopy. I also had a Dubai chocolate cake that was fantastic too. I sat outside on the patio, which was so pleasant. Showed up to a quiet restuarant (not very busy) and sat in the front for 5 minutes - no employee in sight. Finally, an employee came by and told us to sit where we liked and she would grab us some menus and a server. Sat for about 15 minutes and no one came by with a menu, to take drink orders, or anything. In fact, another table adjacent from us had to get up and find menus for themselves... not sure how long they had been left unattended. Someone did drop off some chips and salsa. Pretty good. But with the lack of service we just decided to leave any cash we had on the table for the chips and head elsewhere. I'm fine if a waiter isn't dropping by every two seconds as I'm shoveling mexican food in my mouth but to not have ANY service is just weird. Very disappointed in the lack of employee engagement. Not sure how they get by with such poor customer service. I would never recommend this place. read more

I am really sad this turned out to be a disappointment. We had a work event in the building next door and thought Marcosina would be a good happy hour spot - short walk and simple margaritas and appetizers. No big dinners, just a casual outing. We made a reservation but when we showed up, they acted surprised and imposed on. The inside was too warm so we kindly asked to sit outside and they were really rude about it - saying that they already set up the tables. We were kind and told them we would set up the outdoor area ourselves so that they wouldn't be bothered. And to just leave stacks of plates/utensils and we would sort it out. After that, they suggested we try their "limited time" margaritas. We asked what we in them and they couldn't explain in full detail, but we thought we'd try it. They FAILED to tell us they used top shelf -- and it didn't taste like top shelf and the portions were small. They kept bringing extra and didn't know who they belonged to. What should have been a $350 tab was near $600 before tip. Unreal. They are literally swindling their customers. Poor business practice due to both their attitude and the trickery. They are losing so much more business potential now that I've seen their operating model. Tell your customers what you're serving and just be kind. read more

Got the $30 Gran Parrillllada fajita plate hoping to try a little of everything. Food looked great when it came out but when I started eating it it really had no flavor. Not even salt and pepper. I was really disappointed. The only good thing was the ribs because they were covered in sauce which gave them flavor. I'm sure they have a lot of good things on the menu but the $30 fajita plate is not worth the money so I would order something else. Also, the red salsa had little flavor and the queso was congealed and cold. The beans were good. We asked for a spicy salsa and they brought a verde out which was pretty good. read more

Delicious Tex-Mex Hidden Gem! The service, food, and ambiance is on point! The BEST EVER Margs and Queso flameado (we chose with chicken) and these are must have!! My new favorite restaurant in Westlake! "Bardo" our waiter was very attentive and helpful with all our requests! As soon as you walk into this beautiful restaurant, you will be impressed, the decor is Texas at its best!!! The manager Marcos made sure to ask my husband and I, if we enjoyed our visit. We no longer eat here even though it's the closest restaurant to our house and the closest mexican food. They are consistently inconsistent and do not keep the food hot. We've had 3 meals here in last 6 months in which food ws not hot that needed to be hot. Service is usually nice, friendly and prompt. The staff goes above and beyond to be welcoming and nice. The micheladas have a great presentation but I forgot to take a picture. They have table side guacamole and a vast menu.
