The food was great. Marcia was wonderful to be served by. She gave great recommendations and I left completely full! Super fast and nice atmosphere.

This is a great Cuban restaurant at the Brickell City Center. We had a phenomenal dinner in the energetic but not overwhelming atmosphere of this restaurant. It's a great spot for large groups as the restaurant is very accommodating. We had a great experience with staff here. Our waitress Mara, was a ball of energy with great drink recommendations. The food was authentically delicious and flavorful. Wait time was minimal for both drinks and food. Overall a great experience!

This was the recommendation from ChatGPT when I asked for the best Cuban food and cocktails in the area. It did not disappoint. I came in for a Sunday dinner around 6:30. It is on the 4th floor of the mall. I sat at the bar and was attended quickly. I started with a Spicy Mango Margarita. It was a little sweater than I like but not bad. I ordered 2 apps for my meal, the Ropa Vieja Empanadas and the Maduro Tentación. Both of which are "signature plates". For my second drink I ordered the signature cocktail "Cuban Old Fashioned". Much much better than the margarita. I wish I had ordered this first. The food was wonderful. You can taste the coal oven cooking. Pro tip, don't eat the plantain peel. Overall great food and atmosphere. The 5th star would have been earned if the bar tender and host had been a little more friendly and welcoming. Overall I would recommend trying it.

Considering the positive reviews, my expectations were set high. Unfortunately, my overall experience fell short. There was a party of 40+ that night and our food took a very, very long time to come out. I even noticed that tables around me were waiting on their food as well. Appetizer for ceviche came out quick but not very cold. It was an average ceviche. I've had better elsewhere. The drinks (marabu mule & spicy mango margarita) were decent. Skirt steak was overcooked. I ordered it medium but received close to well done. My dad's short ribs al carbon were so tiny! Also too charred. My skirt steak was also kinda burnt on the ends. My mom's local fish dish was bland. I enjoyed the side of mashed potatoes.. Best dish we had was the meringue cake. Our server was really nice though. I'm sorry but the food was not great. They automatically charge a 18% service fee which I thought they didn't deserve. Overhyped.

Most important: We came here because we looked for vegan Cuban options online, this has them listed online... There are 0 Vegan options here. So, if that's important to you, that online menu is wrong. Very good food. I loved the Cuban but that wasn't universal at the table. I thought it was thicker yet lighter than average and that was a nice change, other Cubans can be VERY dense. The drinks were very popular, I got a Cuban Old Fashioned. The espresso martini did great too. Great maduros.

From beginning to end we were transported to Cuba. The music, vibe and deco instantly sends you from a mall in Miami to Cuba. Our waitress, Marcia from Venezuela, was friendly and enthusiastic about the menu and making sure our evening was fun. We started with mojitos and a Margo-no-rita. Sugar cane and mint leaves spill out of the top of the mojitos. My wife said she didn't miss the alcohol in the Rita. We moved on to ham croquettes and empanadas. The croquettes are flavor bombs with the lime salt sending them to the next level. The empanadas are good and full of meat filling. We had 4 different entrees and shared them. My smoked pork was a tad dry but the Smokey presentation offset the texture. We did have to move the smoker off the table as it got eye irritating. I would have also liked a plate to move everything to after the wow factor. (I should have asked for one). My wife's fried fish is served whole in chunky bites. Flavored well it was great on its own. She thought the chili oil sauce had an Asian flare which felt off theme. Our friends dishes were the flank steak (good size and flavor) which was cooked to his required doneness, and the Marabu Charcoal pork. Both dishes were delicious with their sauces. Marcia suggested a fiery sauce if we liked heat. We told her to bring it and it did not disappoint. Heat at all levels left a good lingering heat for minutes. It was good with everything. We skipped dessert as we were full and chose to window shop in the mall to walk off a full belly. Highly recommend, ask for Marcia and we will be back.

Great dinner at this spot! Will come back for sure: must try's: the octopus appetizer (10/10), the tomato salad with strawberries and burrata (same) and the short ribs al carbone. Skip the shrimp and the wine - do a cocktail instead and get 2 of the octopus Lovely service and atmosphere!

Service was wonderful. And it was a lovely break from the heat. The entree and dessert weren't as warm as I would've liked. But it all had nice flavors.

Everything from the service to the food phenomenal. The empanadas were really good and the octopus was cooked to perfection, it was like they caught it morning of, so soft and the eggplant to accompany it was just a chefs kiss. I don't know what they put in the egg plant but WOW. It was so good Ribeye didn't feel like 18oz but nonetheless it was still good. I'm not sure if I'd order again. My three sides were plantains, fries, and yucca. The yucca here is definitely different that what I've had in the past. The texture was similar to a mozzarella stick lol Plantains were sweet and so good! Octopus and Eggplant: 10/10!! Empanadas: 8/10! Ribeye: 7/10! Fries: 3/10 Yucca: 5/10 Plantains: 7.5/10 Service: 8/10

If you're near the Brickell city center area, I would recommend coming to Marabu located inside the mall. To my surprise, there's not a lot of Cuban restaurants in the brickle area. You have to go outward a little bit so we were happy to have found something nearby . You can either get seated on their patio or inside. We opted for outside seating. I had their Vaca Frita plate and it was plenty. Service was kind and quick.

Came here based on the great reviews and we were not disappointed! We sat at the bar and the drink menu looked delicious! During the course of the meal I tried the traditional Mojito, Guava Mojito and the Cuban Old Fashioned, they were all absolutely fantastic. We had the pork and the flank steak both cooked over coals from Cuba. Both meals were incredibly flavorful and the black beans that came with the steak were the best I've ever had. Our amazing bartender Tony highly recommended a traditional Cuban dessert which resembles bread pudding but was delicate and had the best flavors. Overall this is the best restaurant I've been too in a long time. If you're looking for a great meal that is unique and won't break the bank, going to Marabu is the best decision you can make!

Food and service was amazing! Got the ribeye, ceviche and pork shoulder! It was so much food because so many of the items came with sides! The yucca is delicious! I'd get the ribeye again

I think they fit Miami well, and are slight twists in classic drink options. Our bartender was awesome. She was super knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations as we decided what to order, and you can tell she really put effort into making sure the drinks were good. The drinks were really good! My only complaint is the price. Of course handcrafted cocktails are expensive, especially in Miami, but wow. The drinks were really small, and had so much ice that they ended up being not very many sips at all. They were definitely good, but the very small size for almost $20 a drink was kind of outrageous.

The bar was lit, poppin' and vibrant. We were waiting by the end of the counter where they checked out other patrons near the sitting area. We were overlooked many times... I locked eyes with one of the bartender and she completely looked away from me.. several times :( took about 15 minutes and we reached our arms out and flagged bartender Reilly. Her greeting and attention was genuine so I was happy to get her. Unfortunately, she got busy and we got the initial lady that ignored us. She was not kind, not attentive and didn't really want to help us - she was very fake. With that being said, we had to remind her of our drinks after 20 minutes of placing the order, in which she responded with an attitude "it's being made. We're busy" -_- -_- :( the attitude was not needed. We watched others that came in before us being served. :( I was completely annoyed and upset. She didn't even bring the drinks to us like the other bartenders were doing, she made us get it. Poor service from this one bartender while the others were happy and servicing their patrons. After our first drinks, I noticed she spoke to her colleague and he came over and asked if we wanted to close out.. . Wtf kicking us out? We said no and he opened a tab. When she noticed we were ordering more, she was a bit more attentive. So wrong. Luckily, the drinks were delicious. Perfect. We did end up coming back to the Lasseter and got a gentleman bartender that was so kind and attentive and made our drinks even better! The attention to detail and love he made in my drinks, so that is why I decided to make make this a 3 stars rather than two. He saved this place. The toilet sitting area is very warm, not very air conditioned properly so expect to be a little warm especially after a couple of sips. It's also the walkway to an actual big restrooms for the whole building. The drinks are VERY pricy but the setting is perfect and makes up for it. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Disney priced drinks without the Disney customer service. Do I want to come back? Yes. Am I going to be picky with the vibes coming from the bartender and chose who to go to? Also yes. Hopefully, I can increase the rating.

The biggest thing for me was the overall energy and engagement from the staff. I'm naturally a pretty social and engaged person, especially when I'm sitting at a bar, and I made an effort to interact with the bartenders. I just didn't really feel that same engagement coming back. Nobody was necessarily rude or disrespectful--it just felt disconnected, and the energy was a little strange to me. I also didn't realize until I tried to pay that the bar doesn't accept cash. Maybe that was posted somewhere and I missed it, and once they told me, it wasn't a big deal. But little things like that, combined with the overall interaction, affected the experience. Another thing I didn't realize until receiving my check was that gratuity was already included. I wasn't verbally told about it, and I personally didn't see it disclosed anywhere beforehand. From my understanding, an automatic gratuity or service charge is required to be disclosed to the guest before the purchase, not something they should only discover when they receive the check. Maybe there was a notice somewhere that I missed, so I'm not saying there wasn't one, but I definitely wasn't aware of it. I think that's an important thing for guests to know upfront, especially because someone could easily add another tip without realizing gratuity was already included. Ironically, the one person I genuinely connected with and had a good conversation with was another guest at the bar, not a member of the staff. That interaction actually helped make my time there more enjoyable. For me, hospitality is about more than serving a drink. Especially when someone is clearly open, friendly, and trying to engage, that's an easy opportunity to create a connection and turn a first-time guest into someone who wants to come back. I felt like I gave plenty of opportunities for that interaction, but it just never really happened. I still had a good time because I can have a good time pretty much anywhere, and nothing happened that would make me say Lost Boys is a bad bar. It just didn't feel like the staff cared much about enhancing the experience beyond serving the drinks. So four stars because I respect what the place is and can see why it works as a neighborhood bar. It just didn't give me a reason to come back, and personally, I don't think I would.

Anywayssss, when I caught the winds that there was a new sound bar in downtown, I NEEDED to be there. The concept of the sound bar is some type of Asian thing, I don't really know. But where in Asia there might be a few monks sitting around in silence listening to gongs or whatever, Miami goes BIG! Finding parking in downtown Miami on a Saturday is virtually impossible unless you bribe a valet servant with cash. So that's what I did. My ladyfriend and I arrived early to the sound bar, and there was already a hearty swarm of brodents and thots lined up to get in. Some crack head outside was shouting about IPA's. I told the door servant that I knew the DJ or something like that, and he let us right in. Once inside, the bar has that edgy big city, small hallway type of vibe. You could barely stand around in there, let alone get to the bar to order a drink. The mix of flapping gums and mixologists concocting cocktails made for a cacophonous distraction from the actual "music" we were there to "listen" to. My ladyfriend and I ducked out across the street to Black Market Miami Bar where the game was on and you could actually order a drink that didn't cost $50+. After a few libations, we headed back to Miami Sound Machine Bar (they need to put 'Miami' in every bar's name down here in case you forget where you are). There was a weird looking guy playing depressing vinyls with singing in different languages. I was more in the mood for something upbeat and groovy like salsa or merengue that I could dance to with my girls. Although I did hear the 12" Andrew Weatherall remix of Happy Mondays "Hallelujah" at some point, a staple at the Haçienda nightclub in Manchester - an institution that shook the music world and changed club culture forever. The head servant at the bar looked like Nirvana (yes, one man looking like a whole band). He was jaded and rude. I don't blame him! As the night wore on, the crowd got larger and more deplorable, and the room got smaller and smaller. I got stuck in an awkward conversation waiting to use the bathroom. I don't think sound bars are for me. Pros: The bar across the street had really fair drink prices, and the servants are polite and efficient. Cons: the ratchet yuppies that inhabit Miami's nightlife, always on the prowl to ruin a subculture with their tackiness.

We LOVED the buffalo chicken empanadas. So much we ordered it twice. My issue in Miami is that the drinks really lack liquor, so they taste like juice. Not here! I felt the drinks were well balanced between flavor and liquor on the night I went. I had the Mexican Kiss and Rose Petal. The music was great and they were about to have fire dancers , but I missed those. I hate I can't remember our waitress's name, but she was so cute, bubbly, and great. She offered great recommendations and got us a seat near the edge.

The Mule is a standout, and the White Cloud (gin, sake, lime, and yuzu foam) was lovely. For food, the buffalo chicken empanadas were tasty. I'd skip the pork bao buns, as the meat was overcooked, but our server easily swapped them for the hamachi crudo, which was fantastic. Service was very pleasant, and the music set a great vibe at the perfect volume. Overall, it is a great rooftop spot that I would recommend.
