    My delicious matcha
    Melissa R.

We stopped by after brunch at Ice Plant and were absolutely delighted by this spot! First of all- it's so cute. The front porch is covered with teacups overflowing with plants, and the charm continues inside with cozy décor, and greenery. I originally went in wanting a latte, but the strawberry matcha with banana cold foam caught my eye and I had to try it. So glad I did because it was delicious! My friend ordered an iced latte and was equally happy with her pick. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, Stacey, who was warm, welcoming, and full of fun energy. She shared some interesting building trivia (it used to be a brothel!) and encouraged us to check out the bathroom featuring a clawfoot tub filled with colorful balls. Totally whimsical and unexpected, just like Maracuya by Llama.

This is the most amazing coffee shop in St. Augustine. I love the little cottage vibe, the cozy front porch, and the amazing baristas. Right now, I'm all about the double iced coffee cup, so I can get two flavors for one. it's a little pricey, but worth it. Also of note, the empanadas are delicious, and the muffins are wonderful. When the weather gets nicer, I'm definitely in for spending some mornings working there while I enjoy my coffee.

What a cute coffee spot; perfect for St. Augustine's vibe! I fully appreciate that this spot is a beautiful restored old home turned into a coffee and light bites cafe. You won't find gems like this in Jax. This was worth the 45 min drive from the city! side note (Maracuya is open until 4; not 3 on Saturday's like stated here on Yelp) Very pleasant surprise since I arrived at 2:30 on Saturday. I saw Maracuya post delicious drink specials the past few weeks on instagram and made it a point to come out and try the food and coffee! (It was a coincidence that I just happened to make it out on mister T biscuits bday) You are immediately greeted with a smile as soon as you walk in by the sweetest barista who explains everything in detail for first timers like myself. She welcomed the bday boy which was very nice of her since it was raining out and I couldn't leave him in the car with the windows rolled up. Normally I'm polite and leave my 45lb dog in the car but I did not expect the rain on my quick lil visit. This was a very sweet gesture. I ordered the special latte (white chocolate mocha with lavender whipped cream) I saw on Instagram and it was just as magically delicious as I thought it would be. I also got another special that day - the chocolate banana espresso cake! So dang good! The other two scrumptious food options I tried: the beef empanada that comes with a lime slice and sauce, and the muffin which is the Ahi de gallina - which had a delicious savory filling inside. Next time I visit I'm making sure to Not eat lunch first so I can try more things. I also noticed they had a cute lil outdoor space both on the front patio, and on the back porch area. This would be the perfect spot to bring a book or work remotely for lunch. Will also be checking that out on my next non rainy visit out here. On the way out I grabbed a passion lychee tea that came with edible glitter inside! How cool! I love the lil touches this coffee shop puts into each menu item to make it extra special for guests. Give Maracuya a try - this just became my new fave cafe to visit when in St Augustine. If you visit their Instagram page, they tell you where you can park right next to the shop for free. I found parking out front but parking should not be an issue; plenty of free parking right across the street.

Where to start with this place! The fact that it's a little house with a sitting area outside -- so cute. The interior is beautiful and comfortable. The baristas -- so nice! I had a great conversation with a barista and even met the baker. (The baker was so cool - she's super passionate about it!) I sat in there and worked on my computer in the morning and enjoyed a piece of cheese bread and a beef empanada. The cheese bread was WAY BETTER than I expected! Seriously, so delicious. The empanada was good - I normally don't eat meat but was easing back into it. I don't think I've ever had an empanada with raisins in it before, I liked it. Oh, and I had a gigantic horchata white chocolate latte - so good. I also got the other treats to go. The tres leches cake had a sort of lavender cream on top? It was so good, adorable too...it has edible glitter and flowers on top. Everything was so good and I can't wait to go back.

This is the cutest coffee shop. Loved the decor, the staff was friendly, the coffee was on point and good empanadas! Would definitely return next time I'm in St. Augustine.

Had really high hopes when we came for coffee at 9am and it was closed when they advertise everywhere being open from 8-4. Drive back by two more times and finally at 10:20 they were opening. This probably soured my experience but-- coffee was good, although the espresso isn't strong. Will try other local places instead of retrying even though it's three minutes from home.

If you're a coffee lover with a sweet tooth, Maracuyá by Liams Café in St. Augustine is a must-visit. Nestled in the city's artsy district, this café is known for its extravagant coffee presentations, and their Ferrero Rocher coffee is a standout treat. From the moment you walk in, the vibrant décor and cozy atmosphere set the tone for a delightful experience. The Ferrero Rocher coffee is an absolute showstopper--it comes beautifully crafted with a rich espresso base, velvety chocolate, and a perfectly balanced hazelnut flavor reminiscent of the iconic Ferrero Rocher candy. The friendly vibes and service are a plus! I recommend it!!

Incredible little gem!!! The drinks and food were delicious and filling. The shop itself is so cute and cozy. Loved all the plants and llamas.

Such a cute cafe!! Beautifully decorated with some seating in the next room. Very peaceful and relaxing. I saw their menu online and knew I had to come in to try some of their delicious coffee options. Their matcha and other tea options were another great draw. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and they let us know they would take our order in just a few minutes and to look over their menu. Such great service! Everyone was very kind and bubbly while we were placing our order. I ordered the pistachio dark mocha with pistachio whipped cream and my fiancé ordered the coconut mocha also with whipped cream. These were both to die for. The dark mocha pistachio had a great balance with every flavor in each sip. We could both still actually taste coffee which is the true wanted balance. The pistachio whipped cream on mine was just delicious. Just order it!

Pure bliss! I couldn't resist the tub was so perfect!

Absolutely love it here!!! I am going to come back again and again. I stopped in after church on a Sunday quaint little place, great for a family drop in, wonderful for a work from home day. The juice is my fav!! Maracuya freshly bottled for sale at $5 for 8oz I'd say. If your from the caribbean you are going to feel back at home. We also ordered a beef empanada, a passion fruit + lychee iced tea, iced passion matcha, (not overly sweet very refreshing). We also got a maracuya cheesecake for the 5 items it cost us $31.00 a bit steep, but I will definitely come for the juice and the serene feel. Food is tasty and service is great, very warm and friendly. Spoiler the bathroom was my favorite place the tub! & purple balls was fun to snap some shots!

If you're looking for a cool, local coffee shop with absolutely delicious treats, this is the place for you! Prior to some health issues and a crazy work schedule, this became my most favorite place in town! The coffee drinks are amazing, the food offerings are so fun, creative and equally amazing and all of the staff members are so welcoming and friendly! They remodeled an old house and made it such a cool spot! Don't overlook this place!

    Helaine R.

I struggle with coffee shops because I don't drink anything coffee or mocha flavored. I explained my dilemma and they steered me to things I might like.I decided on the Lavender Chai Latte with almond milk and then ordered a cheese bread. I sat inside but there are outside tables in the front and back. There is wi-fi. Place is very cozy and I found parking in one of the side parking spaces at the restaurant. Otherwise you just park on the street. There were many dessert choices and they all looked wonderful. There were samples up front so I got to try a few other things as well. The drink was also very good. I normally don't get sweet drinks but I treated myself today. I will be working my way down the menu. If you have ever eaten at Llama you know that everything that comes out of the kitchen is next level.

(I love the southern hospitality we experience at so many places in St. Augustine.) My favorite treat may just be the cannoli. The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

Antique, rustic, comfortable, and full of enough character that you almost feel like you've stepped 200 years back in time. Then the drinks arrive, and suddenly you realize you've been transported into the future of cocktails. I wish I could remember the name of the drink I ordered because it was spectacular. Whiskey, a little sweetness, mint, and crushed ice. That's about all I can tell you. What I can tell you is that I could have happily consumed about 30 of them, tumbled down the stairs, and been perfectly happy about the whole experience. My wife went with the Mojito, and it was brilliantly constructed. The crushed ice and layered mint made it look almost too good to drink. Almost. The drinks absolutely deserve five stars. Then came the blue crab beignets, and they were spectacular. That's the kind of appetizer that makes you stop talking for a minute because everyone at the table is too busy enjoying what's happening. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't quite live up to the cocktails. The fish dip was very average and lacked much flavor, and the menu itself felt pretty limited. So here's the deal: if you're coming to The Ice Plant for drinks, I would have no problem giving it five stars. The cocktails are that good. This is a highly recommended stop for a drink in St. Augustine. But I have to review the entire experience, and the limited menu and average fish dip bring the overall experience down a notch. Four stars. Come for the drinks. Stay for the atmosphere. Definitely order the blue crab beignets. And if you happen to find yourself three cocktails deep, admiring the antique decor while contemplating the stairs, maybe just take your time.
