My tech savvy siblings and friends were able to figure it out in the reception room. They were supposed to be honor Guard there to fold the flag given my father's veteran status. No show! They were paid upfront for original cremation charges. The additional charges for use of the sanctuary and reception room were paid via check from my parents' account. As the executor of the estate, I created electronic access. The bank shut the account down as a fraud precaution which was cleared up in a day. The check to Brings did not clear and was made aware of that the day before I am writing this note. I called them, they said they understood. Today I told them that I would have someone bring another check over. That said, the answer was nope! I gave them an option, I'll give you a credit card, or you take check. If you don't take a check, and opt for credit card, I'll write a review. As a family of reasonable wealth, I was insulted. Don't work with Joesph, the Funeral home director, I put this squarely on his shoulders. These people were unprepared to serve us in the best manner possible. Unfortunately, we are regular customers from back in the 1970's. Between family and extended family we have had nearly a dozen services from them. This was unacceptable and impacted our ability to celebrate my 91-year-old fathers' life. Shame on Joesph for his inattention to my family's request. No leadership!

We set an appointment, but there was confusion on whether we go to the Grant Rd or Randolph location to meet. We called several times before office hours and an Answering Service picked up who repeatedly told us to go to the Randolph location. WRONG: The Randolph location is an industrial area where I suspect they do the cremations. Later, we called at got a hold of the actual office and they confirmed they are on Grant Road. They graciously waited for us to arrive. The location appears like a small strip mall near the Michigan turn on Stone and Grant. They greeted us and took us to a conference room to discuss our needs. There were plenty of options and a very relaxed discussion on the sensitive issues of funerals. The pricing was very reasonable and they were very helpful in discussions about our needs. Specifically, they explained Veteran Services for the Marana Veterans Cemetary. We had no issues, and I would recommend for anyone-JUST DO NOT GO TO THE RANDOLPH location.

When I called to get the price for using only the chapel, Alize's entire attitude changed for the worse!! I went in to secure the date and time during their business hours according to their web page only to find the door locked and lights off. I called the number on their web page and mentioned the web page saying they were open...Alize who had answered my call, let out an exasperated sigh and said " I will unlock the door". She came with a heavy set taller Hispanic lady as a body gaurd...there was no excuse, no apology for why I had to call the office number becuse the door was locked and not even a warm greeting or any greeting for that matter was given! Alize unlocked and opened the door with a "What the hell do you want" body stance as if I had interrupted them by being there. I said I wanted to secure the date for the chapel use and pay the now lower amount for services of $500 we were being charged. She said she couldn't take my payment becuse the "Admin" was out for the day. I said ok and that I would come back tomorrow which I did. As I waited in the office for someone to attend to me for about 15 minutes even though there what sounded like 3 people chatting in the office with the 2 way glass. I overheard what sounded like the taller heavy set girl from the day before raising her voice with someone on the phone and then I heard her say she was putting the caller on hold and she began to mimic the caller that was grieving and seeking information for her Father. She said " I don't care who your Father is" " My daddy, my daddy and then everyone in that room started to giggle. If whoever called Adair on Dodge on August 20, 2026 at roughly 1pm the girl was making fun of you and your pain and should be fired along with everyone in that room that took part in laughing at your pain!! Alize finally came out and again no greeting whatsoever...I told her I was here to pay for the use of the Chapel and was handing her cash and she again with exasperation said " We don't do cash" ommmmygod!! I thought!!! I handed her my card and she went to run my card. When she returned with my receipt. I said " Is there a reason you couldn't have done this very same thing yesterday when I was here"? But instead felt the need to have me make a second trip down here for your own convience? In short....if you care about your loved one DO NOT go to Adair Funeral Home on Dodge and more importantly if you do ask for anyone else to help you but not Alize!!! I am logging a formal complaint with the Funeral Board and the Attorney General for the girl mimicking the caller and making fun of their anguish as well as the rude and extreamly unprofessional manner in which I was treated! I'd received a list of mortuaries from the Medical Examiner's office and had picked Carrillo's because it was convenient to the hotel I was staying. I made an appointment with April and met with her. As we discussed the options, I started becoming a little concerned about the costs. This was mostly because there weren't going to be any viewings or other full-service requirements. I just needed a quick and simple cremation and a death certificate to be able to wind up my brother's affairs. I shared this with April. I asked her straight up whether there were any more affordable options given that I needed a minimum of services. She was very frank and let me know that Carrillo's was about the middle of the pack pricewise for what I needed. I thanked her and asked if I could make a couple of calls. I was flabbergasted when she not only wrote out a list of who she knew was more affordable, but she also started calling them on my behalf. She got me a quote that was significantly less and tailored to just what I needed. I'm so grateful for her help in reducing my level of stress, saving me money, and more importantly saving me an enormous amount of time. That level of customer care for someone who isn't even a customer speaks volumes. It speaks of her and her team's compassion for and empathy with those who have suffered a great loss.
