One of if not my overall favorite breweries in town. They always have a seasonal brew to try and different food trucks as well (shout out to Soo Bak the best truck in town.) Horrible service!!! Having lived in the neighborhood over 7 years and always able to walk to Marble to pick up a growler like any brewery allows in any other city I was told I had to wait in line... not once but twice as I did not have a stamp on my hand ..... I enjoy the beer which is why I like to walk over and get a growler of beer to take home . The bouncer at the gate told me I would have to wait in line (because apparently I want to spend my night in line waiting to get in to grab a growler to take home !?!?) It was the worst experience I have had here in over 7 years especially since I talk highly of the beers and the brewery in general to anyone who asks for a recommendation for a brewery .... sad to see the local atmosphere no longer exists at the commercialized brewery... Marble is probably one of my favorite breweries in the city. The selection of beers on tap is excellent and the seasonal brews are regularly some of the best I've ever had. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and well-furnished (im especially a fan of the upstairs area) and have plenty of space for a crowd. This last week, two of my best friends were engaged at Marble. The management team was more than willing to help us set up the surprise and it seemed like the entire community came together to support the engagement. It's moments like those that demonstrates that Marble is truly a local business, one that is vested in the success of Albuquerque. They regularly offer tours of their brewery and bring people into the back to show off the infrastructure. Marble is sincerely a gem to the Albuquerque area and I hope it stays that way for decades to come. read more

Lost your marbles? This is the place to go! This brewery is Albuquerque's finest craft brewery. They have some serious chops when it comes to brewing. They won best brewery and the Gold in the Great American Beer Fest for their Double White Ale. They have all their accolades and medals displayed on one wall. They have a wide selection of beers to choose from, from a light pilsner to the stouts or porters. I got the wildflower wit which was floral, light and delicious! I also picked up the Double Wit which is amazing! They sell it in local grocers, but not home in Texas. So I stocked up... I was happy to see that there was a collaboration brew, or tribute brew to Spoetzel Brewing- Shiner Bock from Shiner, Texas! The beers I had were delicious and served in clean and proper glassware. The brewery is comfortable, with lots of places to hang out. There's an upstairs roof patio, which was closed off when I went for a private party for a tool company. There's an outdoor stage, with corn hole and outdoor games. You couldn't really see too much of the brewing setup, since it was behind the bar and sort of sealed off from the general public. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. They offered samples for the unsure, and pints were cheap! Parking was easy. When I went, there was a food truck parked out front, supplying sustenance for thirsty patrons. read more

Visited Marble Brewery last week during my short trip to Albuquerque, NM. My colleagues and I arrived around 8pm on a Tuesday night, and walked straight in- no lines or wait which was AMAZING. My first impression was, "WOW" I loved the cool vibes I was getting from the staff and overall look and feel of the place. I was loving the picnic-table and patio style seating and open areas. We also appreciated the games they had available (cards, dominos, etc.) Food & Drinks: The food was delicious! We had two pizzas and some of their delicious craft beers. Seriously a plethora of flavors! Service: Service overall was the BEST! The staff was super knowledgeable and made our group (a bunch of out-of-towners) feel SUPER welcomed. Especially wanted to send a shout out to our server/bartender Jaime. He made sure he checked in regularly, shared some excellent recommendations and is one of the main reasons why I'm writing this review. Getting great customer service to me, is the best feeling ever and collectively, the staff was second to none. Great job guys! If I'm ever in town again, Marble Brewery would be on my top 5 places to hang out for good, drinks, food, atmosphere and service! We played spades and dominoes all night and had SO MUCH FUNNNN!! The few times I've been here it's been alright. Parking is tough, seating is tough, flagging down a server can be tough but the beer and the food are good. It might be a good idea to get there early so you have a nice seat. read more

Service here is terrible. Worst service I've had at a brewery ever. The only person who was pleasant was the guy at the entrance greeting people. The servers at the top floor were just so rude the entire time. Wether it was asking us for our order or questions that we had, or addressing concerns. They were just so unpleasant to talk to. I do love supporting local breweries when visiting or even buying beer off site, but after my service I'm not quite sure I want to. I did have their prickly pear and it was absolutely my instant favorite. The drinks and atmosphere are quite enjoyable which makes it such a pity the service was mediocre. Beer selection is right on. Everyone should find something. Several food trucks/trailers take turns providing curbside service and each integrates well with Marble's venue. Bar staff are courteous and efficient. When driving the 100 miles to Albuquerque for errands or a meeting this downtown location is a goto. read more

Chewy beer. That's right, it's chewy. Can one chew on liquid? I have, here. I seriously, like, munch on these pints. It sounds ridiculous but the beer flowing out of these taps, the seasonals and special pours, are akin to the bloody, decadent wine varietals of Napa valley. Refusing to simply accompany great food, these are meals in themselves. Insanely complex, Marble Brewery boasts pints with huevos, some of the best anywhere. Have I mentioned the beer? Holy hell, it's incredible. This establishment honestly elevated the entire craft brew scene in this town, they're the Heavyweight champions and every time they get back in the ring, they bring something new to the game. Yesterday I chewed on a pint of Pumpkin Noir and I spent a good hour on it. 9% ABV, dark as all get-out, the glass was an experience to behold. Worth seven bones? Absolutely. Look, if you have any qualms with the price, compare it with a glass of high-end Malbec and get back to me. You won't. There isn't a lot to the new patio, it's basically a redux on the old formula, with shade (in our southwestern abode, that's salvation). Sustenance, as usual, comes from whatever food truck might park on the curb during your visit, but no worries, the elite serve platters here because, hey, the elite drink here. It's a venue populated by hipsters, beer aficionados and the Everyday, and you won't feel out of place. Promise. An ABQ icon. read more

Update is really in order for my Marble review. Although I'm most partial to La Cumbre and spend much more time there than here, Marble really is a great brewery that creates a lot of good brews and consistently experiments with different styles. As far as their special brews, I'd say they even have La Cumbre beat, both in the frequency with with which they produce these new, interesting beers, and the sheer breadth of styles they encompass. I'm a huge fan of the 111 Farmhouse Ale, a saison spiked with brettanomyces, for it's tart, sour qualities while still retaining smooth drinkability for the summer months. The Imperial Stout is a behemoth at 13%, but the alcohol is very well-disguised and the bourbon, oak and vanilla notes that blend with the dark roasted malt are a true treat. Ditto the Black Magic Pumpkin, which like the name suggest is a pumpkin beer with bourbon notes and heavy dark malts providing some chocolate and coffee flavor. Damn good, as was the tamer Pumpkin Noir and Pumpkin Ale, which all came out around the same time this past fall (2013). Other special brews I've loved over the past two years have been: Stout Americano, Imperial Red, Thunder from Dortmunder, and Le Peche. But I shouldn't discount Marble's regular lineup, as there are plenty of gems to be found here as well. The Pilsner and Wildflower Wheat are perfect beers for the summer months. The Oatmeal Stout and Red Ale and both excellent representations of their respective styles, and the IPA is a reliable beer anytime of year. I also love the patio at Marble and the food trucks and performances that can be found there year round. They're just another part of the allure here. My only qualm with Marble is that space can get tight during prime hours and when they have big events, so I only wish they'd expand and make an even bigger patio, one we could call a proper biergarten. Still, Marble is an Albuquerque gem and a place I can't go more than a few weeks without visiting. read more

Coming from Austin where the micro and craft brew scene sets the palate bar pretty high, I have to say I was impressed with my first brewery exposure in ABQ. Went last night with a great group of fellow Yelpers and just had the best time! I was sad to have missed the food truck which several people (including the bartender) touted as making some of the best burgers in town, so I consoled myself with some pretty tasty brews. My generous beer companions were nice enough to give me a shotgun sampling of some of their favorites along with a couple of samples offered by the very friendly barstaff which meant I didn't even have to order a flight! I had a pint of their Reserve which is their American Strong Ale aged in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels. It was my absolute handsdown favorite and well worth the $7! I can definitely see myself coming back here the next time I am passing through quirky 'Querque! read more

No longer about quality beer, Marble has evolved into a scene driven by decision-makers more concerned with what's hip than maintaining core quality offerings. Hazy beer et al. Ugh. Flashy digs don't fool those who were first through the doors upon this brewery's opening years back. I told myself it was just an off batch here and there, that the canned IPA recipe must have been off that time, etc., etc. Made plenty of excuses for what was my favorite place back then. But I'm done. No more. I just walked across the street to Still Spirits and what a relief. Moving on from a brewery that is no more of what it was. How disappointing, but really it's refreshing to open to new experiences and let go of what died before I realized it was gone. Facing the music and enjoying new tunes now. read more

Over the 3 1/2 years we have lived in Albuquerque, I have come to truly appreciate the places we have become regulars at, the places I feel comfortable every time we go, the places that provide the total experience. Marble is perhaps my favorite such place in this lovely city. Most obviously, the beer is amazing. Marble consistently has something I really want to drink. There are the standards like the double white, the wildflower wheat and the amber, but more importantly, I eagerly await new and short-term beers - the Farmhouse 111 stands out as the best, but almost every time we go there is something new and interesting and just truly delicious. The current winners are the pumpkin noir and the pumpkin ale. To be honest, they are both delicious but I prefer mixing them - it makes a damn near perfect pumpkin beer. Just amazing. There have been many others, but the thing to remember is - Marble makes damn good beer, no matter what kind of beer you like, and there is always something new to try that you will wish was a regular on the taps. Beyond the beer, there is so much more. The wait staff is wonderful. We have gotten to be recognized regulars with several of the bartenders - one in particular we always seek out, cause he is a good guy and always really fun to interact with. Can't say I know his name, but it doesn't change the positive interactions or good feelings we get from having him around. The whole staff is pretty cool, and we feel good paying them to be there (which, let's be honest, that's what we do when we show up). The building itself is great - the recent remodel only made it more wonderful. The bathrooms alone are a huge improvement, but the patio is really cool now. The major problem, of course, is the smokers, but it seems Marble is more than willing to allow that to continue - possibly the only thing about Marble I dislike. I wish they would build a new patio on the north side and make one for smokers only. The food truck selections are phenomenal, and even their own food is getting a major bump up lately. There is nearly never a time you can't get something really yummy to eat while you quaff those delicious drafts. Rustic is my personal favorite, but there are so many others - and frankly the best part about it is that it's such a wonderful variety. The events we have attended there have always been amazing. I am not the biggest fan of the patio performers, but sometimes they are pretty awesome. And the fact that they have them so consistently makes them so much more connected to the local community and brings a feeling of love for where they are into play. They aren't just making beer and pushing it out the door - they care about everyone who lives here and providing a good time for all tastes and types. So - if you can't tell already, I definitely feel that Marble is far and away the best brewery in Albuquerque. They are the whole package, and there is something for everyone. i would love to see them take over the lot next door and expand even further, but there is the fear that the cozy feeling would be diminished - however, if anyone can keep it together, it's Marble. The new Marble Brewery is awesome! So much more space for you and your friends and you don't have to sit outside just to get a table. The finishes are a big upgrade from the original and the bathroom can now handle a crowd. There is a new Peking lot across the street that is pretty well lit so take advantage of it! Safety in numbers ladies and gentleman. Food trucks are available regularly and Marble has some decent nachos too, bagged cheese with chips and a few fresh toppings. The beer is also a win so try at least a few before committing to your old faithful. With a concert style patio, be sure to get here early and get your beer and seat because it will fill up. Excellent, modern brewery and taproom with indoor and outdoor seating, live music on the patio, and many TVs in the bar area to watch big sporting events. (The NLCS was on the TVs and a Tom Petty cover band was playing outside) I was in town one night for the Fresno State/New Mexico game and came in around 9pm on Saturday. There were a lot of people here having a good time and tasting their many beers they brew here. The "Desert Fog" was excellent and I had a couple of them. For food they had a local food truck serving tapas with local flavor parked right off the patio. I had an amazing green chile fried chicken biscuit that went great with their beer. The service in the bar area was quick, friendly, and I was impressed especially with the amount of people ordering. The bathrooms were also clean. I would come back here for sure the next time I'm in Albuquerque. read more

Ridiculous. Two families planned to meet at Marble to celebrate my daughter going into Navy basic training. She is married, 20 years old, and not drinking because she is going to check in nearby within 45 minutes. Every one, but her is 21+ years old. We're sitting outside, ready to eat at a food truck, when we are informed that people between the ages of 17 and 21 can't be outside, even with the parents. Despite management's statements, this is not NM law but a ridiculous policy being enforced at 5:30 PM. Oh... and the 'get your own water' policy is just bad customer service that does not accommodate designated drivers. Just go to other breweries down the road. read more

My favorite place to play board games with friends and drink way too much really great I.P.A. Forget the food, that's not what you go here for. We meet here before eating, or preferably after eating so we can stay for several hours playing Uno until we just have to go home. Marble Brewery is one of my favorite breweries in town. I love the live music and upstairs patio area. Their brews are to die for too. I recommend the Brett IPA, but I live for the heavier beers so I'm a bit biased. The staff is professional and makes frequent rounds to ask if we need refills or anything else. I love how much seating they have and they have lots of Domino's and various other games to help pass the time while you enjoy your drinks. Not only that, but they often have food trucks located in front of the venue if you want something to grub on. You definitely 100 percent need to check out this brewery if you are in the area. :) read more

It had been a long gritty road trip into town and we were looking for a place to land regroup and kill a thirst that had been hounding us for years, yes years! Our first encounter with Marble Brewery was at their tap room on the Plaza at Santa Fe (which is now gone and only resides in the pixels of our digital media and our minds). We had found there the elixir of relaxation and what some might call shenanigans. Yes the often talked about and never overstated Double IPA! As i was saying we had a thirst that had not been quenched since the closing to the Santa Fe tap room and when our travels brought us into ALBQ we had to go on a quest to find and consume this revered elixir! So with help of the map part of Yelps app we navigated to the Brewery and bellied up to the bar. Yes the elixir was on tap and great merriment and almost debauchery ensued. I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stop in Albuquerque at Marble Brewery. I had the Indian Pale Ale and sampled another IPA. The beer was delicious. The food truck outside was insane. Truffle fries and green chili sliders. The staff is what makes this place 5 stars. Super friendly and helpful. They knew I was passing through and gave me recs for stops along my way to AZ. Great deal on the flights. We got both and so tried most all of the beers. They seem to be into reds, not my personal favorite but well brewed. The Imperial stout was a force to be reconned with. Same with the 2014 reserve as it is barrel aged. Wish I would have tried the food, but I can attest to to taco truck parked outside. All in all friendly staff and good brews. read more
