We were in town for a week and I was craving ice cream. After a failed visit at Milwaukee Joe's, my search led me here. So glad it did! We went two evenings in a row and both times were served by nice Indian ladies. It was empty both times we went so that worked in our favor as well. The first night we went, I got the "butter pecan port of call". The butter pecan flavor was so spot on, so definitely get this ice cream if you are a butter pecan enthusiast. The older lady who helped us that evening did not skimp on the mix-ins so there was a lot for me to enjoy and chew on (I prefer this). The second night we went, I decided to make my own mix: sweet cream ice cream with brownies, pecans, and fudge. The ice cream itself was still very delicious but the brownies were lacking in chocolate big time. I wouldn't even call it a brownie if it was blindly given to me. I wanted to order the Dubai chocolate sundae but with cheesecake ice cream instead of sweet cream and the lady said I couldn't so I asked why and she said because it won't taste good. I told her that's fine I still want the cheesecake ice cream and she continued to refuse to do it. It's not that big of a deal to change the ice cream and marble slab is supposed to be all about customizing so I don't know why she would keep refusing if I'm the one eating it. This lady needs to be trained properly if she can't even understand how simple it is to scoop a different ice cream to make the Dubai Chocolate sundae. This place is consistently a hit, there is a great variety of flavors and mix ins, and the staff is always friendly.

It is a cold day and yet I wanted a sundae this afternoon. I decided to stop in and am glad I did. Small space that is orderly and clean. The unique variety of flavors (including vegan options), the smoothness of the ice cream, unlimited toppings, my cup was packed with two generous scoops of homemade ice cream. A delightful woman assisted me. I felt like I could have tried all the flavors that I wanted. I tried the Amaretto, Coffee and Charcoal. Amaretto did not make the cut because the taste was not distinct. The coffee and charcoal sundae with chocolate chips, whip cream and sundae nuts did the job for my ice cream craving. read more

I have come to this location a handful of times, and they have always had exceptional service, clean facility and delicious treats! There is sometimes a line, but it goes pretty quickly. You can pick an ice cream flavor and then add unlimited toppings to it! You can also try samples of the ice cream before deciding on which flavor you want, which I was thankful for because I tried amaretto and did not care for it. i normally stick with sweet cream! They offered sizes range from small, medium, and large. Small is good for one person. The medium and large can be shared. I got a small mint ice cream with marshmallow, gummie bears, and sprinkles. I don't think they charge for extra toppings. It's a set price, small was 4.99! That's where it hurts besides the calories you just gain from eating ice cream hahaha. Mixed review, but I must emphasize the bad. We got a Smarty Pants for the kids to share, well both got sick in their stomach because of all the artificial blue dye they put in the ice cream. We had to call the pediatrician and fight the stomach infection, so, I am not recomending the place. Only they know what chemicals they put in the ice cream that would make people sick. Anyway the lady who services the ice cream should learn to smile at customers and be nice... at least that would make it a mice experience. I'm very surprised reading the many negative reviews. I have been taking my grandkids to this shop for many years and we have always been treated very well and most of the time recognized as well (depending on who's behind the counter. It is a small shop and many of the offerings are elaborate, so yes, service can slow down as various ingredients are mixed. My not-always-patient grandkids deal with this since they very much like what's available. The ice creams are made in the shop and flavors rotate, so favorites are not always available. We've all come to have several favorites to make it more likely we'll find one available. That said, more often than not the primary one for each of us is there. Many of the flavors are the best of their type I've tasted, often with some extra intensity but not overdone. The Swiss Chocolate makes a great milkshake. The butter pecan is as good as any I've tasted in my many years and global travel. My grandson loves the vanilla bean, which indeed provides a rich vanilla taste; French vanilla is a second best that is also very rich. Samples are always available and the kids will often try out something new, even though they then usually fall back on a favorite. The milkshakes are terrific but quite filling. Pricing is on the high side. But this is more of a crafted ice cream boutique and if you want the richness in flavor and the creamy texture you should expect to pay for the extra effort and better ingredients. We have also repeatedly bought ice cream cakes for some of our celebrations. The Turtle Cake has become a favorite. In the past we often went after school and many days that same idea occurred to others so there was often a line of 5-10 people. Even with the extra effort often involved, our wait didn't exceed roughly 10 minutes, which we've always accepted. But if you expect express service, this might not be the best choice for you. Marble Slab, I really love your ice cream. I can't recount how many times I've needed a pick-me-up from your Double Dark Chocolate. I've had your delicious milk shake, and it's the base for many of my mixin concoctions (which at various times consists of chocolate chips, raspberries, strawberries, walnuts, pecans, and shredded coconut). But gosh darn it, I hate getting overcharged for your ice cream. I mean it, I've caught your cashiers red-handed on several occasions charging me double for a Tasty Creation. I'll keep coming here for the double dark chocolate, but I'll keep an eye on my receipt. Interestingly enough, this location also sells a few Indian desserts out of the cake freezer. read more

I love marble slab but this one is bad! It smelled like poop, it was terribly hot inside the store (too cheap to use AC), one of the girl working there was rude and cheap with the amount of ice cream and the amount of stuff you can add to the order. I ordered a pint and got barely one and the girl who prepared my order didn't feel bad about it. And because of the hot temperature inside the store the ice cream was so melted almost soup like! Don't go there, go to the one in flower mound they are generous with there dose, staff is nicer, it smells good and it is cold inside the store. read more

My husband and I decided in the spur of the moment that we would go for some ice cream. We were already on the road, so we looked up places near where we were. This place came up. The pictures looked like it could be fun and good. When we got there, there was a family in front of us. No big deal, but when they were done. The girl who asked us what we wanted.. Well, she asked the question and then became completely distracted. It was like she was mesmerized by the group that was ahead of us. Which by the way, were already done getting their ice cream and moving to the outside tables. When I went to respond to her question and realized she wasn't paying attention. I walked away to get a closer look at the waffle cones, which by the way, where set in the wrong marked holders. When the girl caught herself and returned to us, my husband asked me what I wanted. I went back to tell her. Then he told the guy behind the counter his order. The two pulled the ingredients for our ice cream, but the girl seemed to be chit chatting as I watched my ice cream was getting softer and softer. At one point she told her co-worker something I didn't understand. Then sort of gestured for a cup to put the cone and ice cream in because it was so soft that it wasn't even making it into the cone. Instead, it was dripping down the side of her hand and landing on the counter. I should have stopped her and asked her to re-make the ice cream because it was pretty much ice cream soup at this point. I didn't. My mistake. My husband just had his ice cream in a bowl. I paid and the girl made some comment about the soft ice cream getting into the bowl with the cone on top. At this point, I was holding my tongue and just paid because I wanted to get out of there. I would NEVER recommend this place just based-off the service! If you want melted ice cream, this is your place! There was no offer or apology for the soft ice cream during this process. When we left there it was $18.36 for terrible service and melted ice cream! We sat outside and tried not to get the melted ice cream on our clothes or shoes while we had to hurry to eat the ice cream before it was complete mush! NOT ENJOYABLE AT ALL! read more

Well, they're ice cream. The staff is rude. We got their 15 minutes before closing and they tried refusing to serve us because their counter was off. We still found a few things to order, but then someone started cleaning and asked us to eat outside. It was still 10 minutes to closing and we were not welcome in the store. The ice cream is delicious but here's the problem: when we went in the woman came out and just stared at us for several minutes in a very creepy and serial killer ish way. I said hi and she continued to stare, unblinking. She was rude and gruff, snatched my credit card out of my hand and yelled SIGN! Instead of just asking nicely for me to sign the receipt. My boyfriend ordered something random before he had decided just because she was so creepy and mean. I can't imagine taking a little kid in there. We took our trash home with us instead of throwing it away there because we didn't want to have to go back in and deal with that Aileen Wuornos styled brand of crazy. read more

I'm giving this establishment 1 star due to the very poor customer service.My family and I came into this business Sunday afternoon. We stood in the building 10 mins staring at the employee before she even acknowledged we were there. When she finally did get around to taking our order she was extremely rude! Once we received our ice cream we sat down and in comes another customer. The employee suddenly became cheerful, pleasant, and attentive. It was unbelievable to witness the night and day of her attitude. We normally go to the Carrolton location and we were thrilled to know there was on right by our home. Great location but the WORST customer service! They had one employee named Bharti working happy hour. We arrived at 4:59pm and watched the clock inside of Marble Slab Creamery turn to 5:00pm. We were happy that we made the cut off for happy hour. There was a large family in front of us who were already in the process of being served, but no one came in after us. Literally, 20 minutes later, we are finally getting our orders taken. Once one of our three orders were taken, we had explained that the second order would be the free happy hour ice cream. Bharti proceeded to look at her personal watch and tell us that the family before us AND we didn't make the 5pm cut off time, which was NOT possible! Especially for the family before us who were already being served when we walked in the door at 4:59! She told us she looked at her personal watch, not the Marble Slab clock, to make that assessment. Then, she gave our regular priced second ice cream a cup instead of a cone. We proceeded to tell her we want the waffle cone that the SIGN says comes with that ice cream. She tried to charge us an additional $1, because we already had the cup. SHE chose that cup, she did not ask us if we wanted the cone! I was so upset with the whole process that after 20 minutes I did not even want any ice cream. I drove us across town to this Marble Slab because I love the Wichita, KS location (we are visiting from out of town). I was embarrassed and annoyed that after 20 minutes in line and a 20 minute car ride, I didn't get any ice cream. However, I refuse to give any money to an establishment with customer service as awful as this one. Never again, I'll stick to Cold Stone. read more

So I went and got ice cream for myself and a friend. Well first I walk in and she asks me to wait for more than 5 mins. And then the whole time she doesn't smile, doesn't make eye contact. Makes me repeat my order 3 times and then gets both of our orders wrong, even when she realizes they are wrong she doesn't try to fix it. The only time she makes eye contact with me is when I'm signing the receipt and the glares at me once she sees I didn't leave a tip....I work in the food industry so I know how to treat customers, this is how you run customers away forever. I love Marble Slab, but will not be going back to this location. I was kindly greeted when I walked in, but then it went downhill. I asked for a dark chocolate shake and was told "This flavor is really hard right now." Ok? I wasn't sure what she wanted me to say and she just repeated it again. I chose another flavor because she was too lazy to scoop it. (At this time there was no one else in the store either, so it's not like she had to rush.) She then didn't give me a straw for my shake and I had to lean over the counter to get one myself. To top it off, I attempted to pay with my debit card. She then said "It's declined." I said what? "It was declined." I told her I had just used it somewhere else and there was no way it could be declined. She shrugged her shoulders and didn't even bother to try it again. At this point other customers had walked in so my fiancé just ended up paying...we then went grocery shopping and I had absolutely no problem using my card. I work in Coppell, and am a chocolate/sweet LoVer!!! There is rarely a line when I go in which means I'm that much closer to ice cream heaven. The service has always been great, and my order is always exactly as I request. Every time I have been in the same lady has been there, and she is always willing to let me taste a few before making my selection. I have vistied other Marble Slabs and the service is rarely as great as the service at the Coppell location. The price may not be my favorite, however this location is always clean-service has always been great-and the ice cream is TOTALLY worth it! read more

Love Marble Slab, but will be going to a different location in future. Floor was dirty, lady working behind the counter didn't smile once, not friendly at all. When people weren't at the counter she was in the back somewhere only to pop out when she heard the door chime saying that someone had walked in. The "marble slab" that they mix the ice cream on couldn't have been as cold as needed because the icecream started melting while she was mixing in the topping. The containers of fruit were sitting atop containers with water (which should have been ice) on top of the slab, so obviously, it wasn't as cold as it should have been, which means the fruit wasn't as cold as it should have been. My nephew and I got gummy bears in our ice cream. These gummy bears were like mini gummy bears (gummy cubs, if you will) with terrible flavor, obviously discount priced gummy bears. When she put them in my nephews adult sized icecream, the scoop she used was so small that he got maybe 4 gummies total. I asked her for extra and she looked at me like I was crazy. She obliged by adding another 4 gummy bears. Seriously?!?! They were like buried treasure instead of being mixed nicely to get in every bite (and the treasure was bad tasting discounted half sized bears). Halfway through, my nephew dropped his cone on the floor. Of course the lady was nowhere to be found, so he and I were on our hands and knees using one-ply napkins and water from the water fountain to clean up the mess, couldn't even ask for a rag or mop or anything. So with unfriendly counter service, nobody around in the event that a customer needed something, cheap/not so tasty mixings, melted icecream, and a dirty restaurant.... I am not likely to find myself there again. It's definitely worth driving an extra 5 minutes to go to a different location! read more

I love ice creams and marble slab is one of ny favourite place. I stop by any marble slab i see and try their ice cream. Last friday i saw this place on my way to my friend's house and i had to stop. This place is awsome.love the decorations of the ice cream cones. You can see just as you enter. Ice cream was great and the pretty miss working was very friendly.Even there were lot of people,she helped everyone and had smile in her face.. Marble slab prices are little expensive than any other places but in this place it was worth it. Place was clean compared to other places. Will definately come back. read more
