The peanut butter was completely separate on the outside (aka the shake tasted nothing like it) and was plain and not the sweet kind. The brownie was good but impossible to eat with the shake. I ordered the Cereal Killer Milkshake, which in the picture it's very colorful, it has the red marshmallow cream, whipped cream and fruity pebbles on top, but when it got delivered to me, I just got a plain old fruity pebbles shake. No red marshmallow cream, no whipped cream. Also, there were the biggest chunks of white chocolate at the bottom that you can't even suck up through a straw, so it just clogs the whole thing which is even more frustrating and was the cherry on top of this whole experience. We arrived early afternoon and were greeted by two friendly staff members. This was my first time, but my friend had been there before. It has a very clean and rustic look. I loved how they have a deep sink where you can wash your hands after eating your gooey treat. They will give you samples as there are sooo many yummy flavors of ice cream to choose from. I couldn't make up my mind, but I finally decided that I wanted something not too sweet so I got the oatmeal pie sundae. It was enormous!! I've always wanted to go to the Yard Milkshake Bar. I see it every time I'm in the area, so we decided to give it a try! When we walked in, the smell was extremely horrendous and very unappetizing. It felt very humid inside. The interior lacks cleanliness-window sills, floors, tables, etc. Very dirty and under kept. We ordered two bowls to go, Mint Green Monster and the Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss. The ice cream tastes just like Blue Bell ice cream with a brownie on top. The ice cream was in a small cup, but was placed into a bigger cup. When my friend pulled the small cup out of the bigger cup, it really upset her especially for the amount we paid. The ingredients were cheap quality and did not match up to the price. Unless you're paying an extra $5 for a glass jar, it is not so Instagrammable. Basically $30 for 2 scoops of Blue Bell ice cream and 2 brownies with some whip cream and little syrup and crumbs is insane. Overall, this place must've been great when Instagram aesthetic food pictures were at its peak. This place is the real definition of aesthetic foods aka low quality, but "pretty" for pics. Now it's just overhyped. It might be fun and cool for young kids and teens, but there are definitely better quality dessert options in the area that matches your bang for buck. This location claims they could not honor my gift card of 2 years. There is no disclaimer of expiration on the card and I even have the authorization receipt with it. When the card is looked up there is still a $65 value on it. The 2 grown male workers in the establishment called the new owner and they were told they could instead offer a 10% discount. Well this was my very first visit and couldn't wait. Saw it mentioned on a FB group I follow for all things Texas and had to make sure to visit when here in Texas with my daughter. We walked in to a huge assortment of ice cream flavors and were able to taste some samples which was very helpful. After deciding on flavors, we advanced to the menu (which is on the wall) or you can scan a code for a menu on your smartphone. Of course I like pics and the wall menu caught my eye immediately. Again so many choices and we were asked if we wanted to eat it or drink it?? In other words...a sundae or shake. lol After looking at our options and because we were sharing a sundae we opted for the biggie and one of their most popular, the Brookie Batter sundae. You get 5 scoops now not your average size scoops as my husband watched and saw that the scooper was half the size of a regular scoop. Also this sundae comes with two particular flavors, but you can choose to change which we did. We opted for marshmallow and salted caramel which after all the yummies it was really hard to taste the flavor of the ice cream. But we didn't mind, because we love ice cream not to mention the nice moist chocolate chip cookie and moist brownie that comes with this sundae. The chocolate chips and thick chocolate (to help the chips stick) fudge all around the edge make it incredibly decadent and rich but yummy!!! You also have a big scoop of cookie dough which was fun to eat with your ice cream. This is definitely a must for those of us who really enjoy chocolate!! All-in-all we (my husband and I) really enjoyed everything about our sundae and may return in the future. The sundae cost $22, but shared it was well worth the cost and we get to keep the jar. Its not explained and only shows up if you get your receipt. Hidden fees are not ok. Convenience fees are not ok and are fraudulent. We will be reporting these fees to the appropriate authorities. The prices are not ok nor warranted based on ingredients. The ice cream used is not premium - Blue Bell is Texas pride and all but not premium. The donuts etc used are sold by the bushel at Walmart and other distributors. Fruity Pebbles are not gourmet. These are not premium ingredients warranting a $17 milkshakes all told (16 oz shake plus topping and whip cream). The presentation is attractive. That's about it. The jar is lightweight, not a heavy glass jar. There is nothing more to the experience to warrant the price tag either. It is not a premium experience. Bored staff, very long wait. For a brand new building, it had single bathrooms labeled male and female (with a damn rooster and cow for f's sake). My gender non-binary companion flipped them off and chose the emptiest bathroom. You can get it as a milkshake or a sundae. They do come with interesting toppings and very photo worthy. A regular milkshake is $8. Opted for the milkshake and got the I'm Nutella You Nothing off of the secret menu. It comes topped with a Blondie. It was good. I didn't think it was too sweet, but I did want some water halfway through. I probably would split one with someone in the future, but I did finish one and felt very full afterwards. I finally made it to the Yard. I went a few time when their sign was up and turn on but still under construction. It was a very mean tease. I went another time and the line was super long so i waited again. When you walk you you immediately start looking at all the ice creams they have and gives Baskin-Robbins a run for their money. It was a little frustrating as you don't have a menu right when you walk in to try to figure out what your options are. The menus are all the way down at the register so you end up ordering slow. I would suggest another menu set when you walk in or move them a little more central so important decisions can be made. I tried the Banana Split milkshake. It was good but it didn't wow me for the price but i got to bring my mug home. Tried The Bourbon Bandito as a smaller 2 scoop sundae instead of being a milk shake and might try that form for my next visit. It was good. Tried a cup of the cookie dough. They have about 6 dough option if you love just just eat dough. It does take a long time after your order for your dessert to come out. Not a huge place so if a larger crowd comes they get busy quick so plan around prime times when they would be busy if you don't like to wait. The ice cream is not only delicious, but also worthy of its own photo shoot, haha! I ordered the Unicorn, my husband got the vegan Not Milk? as a milkshake, and my friends got the Mint Green Monster. After looking the menu up online (the marquee scrolls too quickly, especially if you're seeking their gluten free or vegan options), I approached the register and that's when the person finally addressed us. We came in when it was slow and literally every table inside and on the patio was absolutely filthy, covered with dried ice cream goop. We decided to overlook at an ordered anyway anyways. Well, the creations are very pretty. The ingredients are terrible. Some of the worst ice cream I've ever had. Taste more like whipped ice milk. To make matters worse they don't even use whipped cream. It was something more similar to Cool Whip, which I can't stand. The ice cream I ordered had a slice of cheesecake which was the highlight of the entire thing. The cheesecake was decent. The nail in the coffin was the price. You can spend anywhere from $15-$20 on an ice cream bowl or a shake. I will never be back simply because the quality of the product is terrible but more importantly any restaurant that doesn't clean any of their tables for their guests certainly doesn't clean the back of the house where you don't see. I came back on may 26th the hours posted on the doors stated closing time was 10 pm they closed before 10 pm. Today I came before heading out of town and the business hours on the door states they open at 12. Needless to say again after a previous disappointment they again did not open at the posted business hours on the door of the business.
