Absolutely delicious food, wonderful staff, and great drinks. Definitely make a reservation if coming anytime on a weekend.

Pan Seared Shrimp & Scallops with Lobster Risotto

Marblehead Chowder House is a seafood restaurant located on William Penn Hwy. in Easton. It's open every day 11 AM - 9 PM. This spot had been on my radar for quite some time, so I was happy to finally make it in. The experience was enjoyable, though it didn't quite meet the expectations I had going in. I started with clams casino, fried calamari, and baked French onion soup. The clams casino was satisfying, but the calamari was undercooked. The baked French onion soup was perfectly hot, rich, and cheesy, definitely the standout of the three. For my entree I ordered the pan seared shrimp and scallops with lobster risotto. The dish was slightly greasy, but it remained well-balanced and indulgently flavorful overall. Service was definitely on the slower side. That said, I'm never in a rush dining out, so it wasn't a big deal for me.

Very friendly servers. Prices Very reasonable. Service little slow. Food was good. Reminds you as a step up from Red lobster. Over all not a bad place

Everything was delicious, hot and fresh. The cocktail was perfect, not overly powerful. The server, Tina was great, quick and friendly. Noise was average for a full restaurant, mostly older crowd.

First visit & absolutely LOVED! First visit because there will definitely be more. It looks like a smaller building in the outside, but feels huge inside & it's beautifully accented with its maritime theme. Anthony was our server and he did a fantastic job. He was very helpful and courteous. It was hard to choose a meal because I'm on a ketosis diet and need to focus on protein and veggies. This was hard in a very good way! In my three months of fearing a menu dining out ... I had actual choices. I selected the Crab Norfolk and fell in love. My husband had the Shrimp and Teriyaki rice dish and enjoyed his lobster pierogies as his side. My friends enjoyed their meals also. They loved the appetizer sampler, another had the same Crab Norfork that I selected and her husband chose a salmon and rice dish. They had been here before and I'm pleased they suggested it for great options. We shall return! Also, so convenient to book a reservation in the Open Table app. When we first arrived, they have a table just inside dedicated to take out pick up and the staff member is dedicated to collecting the order information. Loved this idea too.

We are loyal patrons who have frequented this establishment for years and even chose this location to host our rehearsal dinner. Because of that history, what occurred during our recent visit was not only disappointing -- it was unacceptable. We visited to celebrate Valentine's Day. After being seated, I ordered a passion fruit mojito, a drink I have previously enjoyed at your restaurant. When it arrived, it was immediately clear that it had not been prepared properly. There was no muddled mint, virtually no mint flavor, minimal passion fruit taste, and an overwhelmingly sour profile dominated by lemon and lime. A single mint leaf floating against the glass does not constitute a properly prepared mojito. I informed our server that I did not like the drink and requested a different cocktail. I did not ask for a refund. I simply asked for a replacement. The manager approached our table and stated that refunds on drinks are not given. Again, I clarified that I was not seeking a refund -- only a different drink. What followed was a prolonged and unnecessary debate. The manager questioned whether anything was actually wrong with the drink, pointed to its color as proof that passion fruit was present, and suggested that if I did not like it, I could have a beer or soda instead. When I requested a margarita instead, I was told it would "taste the same," despite the clear and obvious difference between a rum-based cocktail and a tequila-based cocktail. The conversation became argumentative over a $10 drink -- something that should have been resolved in moments with a simple replacement. My husband, who owns a restaurant himself, attempted to explain that we had recently visited and I had received an excellent mojito made by a male bartender. The manager responded dismissively that there was no male bartender on staff. That was beside the point. The point was that the drink had previously been made correctly and this one was not. By the time the manager agreed to have another cocktail prepared, the experience had already been soured. We chose to leave rather than continue what should never have become a confrontation. In doing so, the restaurant lost the revenue from two full meals -- all over an issue that could have been resolved in seconds. When my husband, who owns a restaurant himself, explained that disputing a minor matter was costing the business far more than the drink itself, the manager stated he was "just doing what the owner told him to do." If this reflects ownership policy, it is a policy that prioritizes rigidity over hospitality and ultimately harms the business. A rigid, defensive approach over minor issues does not protect revenue -- it drives loyal customers away. Additionally, the tone and resistance we encountered left us uncomfortable and questioning whether assumptions were being made about us as customers. Whether intentional or not, I would also be remiss if I did not address how the interaction felt. The tone and resistance we encountered left us uncomfortable and questioning whether assumptions were being made about us as customers. Whether intentional or not, that perception alone is troubling and warrants serious reflection. We did not expect special treatment. We expected reasonable customer service. Instead, we were met with defensiveness, inflexibility, and dismissiveness. We have supported Flaming Crab for years. After this experience, we are reconsidering whether we will return. I trust this matter will be reviewed thoughtfully and that corrective steps will be taken to ensure future guests are treated with professionalism and respect. Patricia W

We really enjoyed the appetizers: cheese and meat board, barrata, fried Brie. For main, I had the pork chops over risotto and brussels sprouts which was delicious. My daughters and son-in-law had the steak with fries, the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and lasagna- all were delicious. My husband had the coq au vin which was perfect- voted best main out of all our choices. Desserts were to die for! The price fixed meals were $45 each and included three courses. The Apps were small and not very good. I got a small amount of Calamari and the Pork Belly was thick and overcooked. For the entrees, I ordered the Chicken Roulade and my wife got the Herb Crusted Lamb Chops. The portions were quite small (only 2 pork chops) and not prepared well at all. Chicken was so dried out I couldn't eat it. Deserts were included; my cheese cake was dry and my wife's creme brûlée was under cooked and watery. It almost seemed like a way to make some bucks without delivering any quality food. The one redeeming thing was our waitress, Debbie, who was very nice.

We decided to order dessert, but after waiting another 30 minutes and never receiving it, we finally got up and went to the host stand to pay and leave. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and professional throughout the evening, and I truly appreciated their attitude. However, the service was extremely slow, and it appeared the restaurant was significantly understaffed. While the employees did their best, the overall dining experience was poor due to the long waits, bad food, missing items, and overall poor experience.
