Dr. Olsund NOT RECOMMENDED - Uterine Niche Repair The staff…read moreat Marina OB-GYN were very kind and helpful, but my experience with Dr. Elisabeth Olsund was extremely disappointing. I scheduled my appointment about three weeks in advance and clearly explained what the visit was for -- a uterine niche (isthmocele) repair consultation. When I arrived, I went through the normal check-in process: weight, height, blood pressure, etc. A medical assistant then came in and told me that the doctor couldn't see me unless she had my medical records. I said that wasn't a problem and that I could get them sent over right away. I also pushed back and asked why the doctor couldn't at least come in and meet me during my scheduled appointment time -- I had an appointment, and she had that time blocked for me. Still, the assistant said no, the doctor wouldn't come in until she reviewed the records. The assistant then encouraged me to call my other doctors to get the records, and she and the staff worked closely with me to make it happen. They were even on the computer trying to download and properly upload everything for the doctor. So the doctor was fully aware that we were actively getting her everything she needed in order to see me. Despite that, once all the records and images were sent and confirmed, the assistant came back and said the doctor still wouldn't see me because her schedule was now full. Dr. Olsund never came out to meet me, introduce herself, or even apologize for the situation. For a patient coming in for a specialized procedure, this lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was unacceptable. I left feeling completely dismissed and disrespected. Either the doctor isn't confident in performing the procedure, or she simply didn't care enough to speak to me directly. In either case, I would not recommend her. A doctor who won't even come in during a scheduled appointment -- after all records were provided -- should not be trusted to perform surgery.

I understand it's not something everyone can be down with, but after having a very base level of care with other gynos, it's something I will pay to continue being a patient here. I had to get an MRI done to take a look at my fibroids and everything else going on down there and at first, my insurance approved it, but I was out of state during the approval window my insurance company gave. So that approval expired. When I finally got back in town, we tried to get a new approval. Big surprise, my insurance company denied it. They denied it 2 more times, but Dr. Rodriguez's office was PERSISTENT and they kept on it and got it DONE!!!!! I am so thankful to them for their energy and keeping their "eyes on the prize"! I've NEVER had another doctor's office be this way. Sylvia Chen is the best...she does my annuals and goes through everything with me and explains everything and is more than happy to stay and answer questions...there is never a feeling of being rushed. The sonographer is also awesome...she put me at ease during my pelvic ultrasounds. I had a surgical consult with Dr. Rodriguez because my uterus is just riddled with fibroids and she was the absolute best. So kind and caring and presented me with the options available and helped me to understand each one so that I could decide what is best for me and my comfort level. She also cleared up A LOT of questions for me regarding specific procedures and I walked away with clarity AND peace of mind. Seriously...the bedside manner and positive attitudes of the doctors, nurses, medical assistants and admin staff is above and beyond of any practice I've ever experienced. So thankful they are here and I know they have my back...and nether regions. ;)

This review is specifically for Dr. Fluellen's office staff--while she is an absolutely incredible…read moredoctor, I can't recommend seeing her because of multiple experiences I've had with her staff. 1) Shortly before giving birth last April, my BP was high and I was in danger of getting preeclampsia. After a routine office visit, her staff failed to call and let me know that my BP was high, and Dr. Fluellen called me the following day (Saturday AM), apologizing on their behalf and asking me to go to the ER to get checked out immediately. 2) I'm currently 11 months PP and have been struggling with PP depression; Dr Fluellen and I discussed going on medication, but she gave birth shortly after me, and has been on maternity leave ever since. Another doctor in her practice, Dr. Morikawa, prescribed me an SSRI, but failed to write it for the correct amount or provide me with any refills. I've been without medication for 3 days now, and despite calling the office multiple times, leaving messages on their machine and with their answering service, I've received no response back. At this point, I feel it would negligent to recommend seeing anyone in their practice, since both instances could have resulted in serious health repercussions on my end, and unfortunately I'll be looking for a different doctor to see from now on.

That's insanity to do the same thing over and over again giving the same results on paper. Most physicians at Torrance Memorial do this...so it's not based on this doctor.

I really appreciate Dr Taylor's candidness, willingness to listen, and his ability to admit when something was outside of his realm of expertise. Thank you for everything you tried to fix me (and shout out to Gloriella & Natalie for all your help & support too)! As a side note, the office does do everything manually (no MyChart, email, etc) which makes things less convenient and there is usually a substantial wait for appointments, but otherwise you're in good hands!

I was absolutely shocked to see the facility when I walked in. It looked more like a back alley clinic. Half of the forms had handwritten places to sign and it was PACKED in a tiny room. My regular doc is at the main Providence facility, so I expected it to be similar since this is also Providence. Dr. Taylor is a butcher. I have never in my life undergone such excruciating pain during a culpo. I have 10 tattoos and a very high pain threshold and was begging him to stop. At one point, I almost passed out and his response was, "just pass out, you're on a table." When I asked how long the extreme pain would go he said "I don't know" and looked at the nurse. There was absolutely NO bedside manner or consideration of the fact that if a 40 year old woman is writhing in pain, something might be wrong. 7 hours later, I'm still in immense pain.

While I was a bit hesitant on having a make OBGYN, he immediately puts you at ease and the most gentle, caring and nurturing doctor one can ask for. His bedside manner is wonderful and his staff so far has been amazing as well. I joke with him that I have three kids because of him - because I was too sad to not see him for the many pregnancy check ups which is half true! His NP Lynette Miya is just as wonderful and I hope she stays around as long as I'm a patient in their office!

She has so many patients and I'm glad I am able to be one of them. The office is large and clean. Staff is nice. Ample parking. There is a fee for paddling but her office does validate for the 1st hour. She's on the 6th floor. She always leaves me with a smile. She's beyond caring and knows her stuff. She is gentle. Most women OBs are very rough. But Dr. Mellano treats our parts nicely and never rough. I recommend her 110%.

Dr. Lukman is my primary obgyn, and she does a great job at holding patient concerns with dignity and attention. Her office is located in Redondo right next to the old South Bay hospital. She is the only one out of her group that has their own office so I think that says something. I'm not quite sure why there were some bad reviews on here regarding the office staff but personally, I've had nothing but excellent experience with them. You gotta keep in mind they have a lot of patients so you can't assume that you're the only client that needs help. She is the doctor that is currently scheduled to do my C-section and I hope she ends up doing it as planned because I can feel safe because I am absolutely confident in her abilities as a skilled physician. Pro tip is if you want to see her most of the time versus other doctors I would schedule out as many appointments in advance as possible because she gets booked fast .

I went to her to finally address chronic hormonal dysfunction, and after not having insurance for many years, I finally got it, and I was feeling very optimistic about getting answers or at least guidance to the health struggles I've been experiencing. When in her exam room I told her my symptoms and asked for a blood lab test to confirm my hormone levels. Her response was "And what good would that do if you know you have (my condition)?" I said it would be very important to know that for my long term health so I can make lifestyle changes now. She said "the blood labs are expensive. If you have the symptoms then you probably have it" And then she left the exam room. She didn't offer to discuss or guide me through what those symptoms mean, or how I could navigate a plan with another provider if she wasn't equipped to handle that. I felt that her handling of me was cruel and not ethical. I went to her looking for care for a health struggle I've had for years, and she met me with condescension and cruelty. She acted as if this was not even her problem.
