We are camping at Coloma resort and wanted to get some ice cream. We heard they had Gunthrie's ice cream. It's a cute little spot off the highway and there was ample parking in the front. I love the decor inside. The flavors were a little limited as it's mostly a woodfired pizza restaurant, but they had great flavors. I highly recommend the mango sorbet, coconut, pineapple, and definitely the banana rocky road. That last one definitely took me by surprise and I'm not a banana fan, but it was so good and I had to settle taste with amazing Rocky Road flavors! The staff is friendly and the surface was fast as we got to ice cream to go. Definitely a fun place to go if you need to get away for a sweet treat while camping in the area or just getting off the river for the day. read more

Was recommended this place by our rafting staff and are so thankful they shared it!!! This place did not disappoint after a fun, albeit long and draining, outdoor excursion. We dropped in on a Saturday evening around 5:30PM and it was packed. The parking in the back had a decent number of spots and we still struggled to find a space. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating and we were thankfully able to find a table inside and out of the heat. Their menu isn't very extensive, but they offer a variety of pizzas + non-pizza items, like appetizers and salads. We got in line and ordered the Middle Fork Mushroom, The Hots, and an order of garlic rolls served with marinara. Honestly, the wait for our food was pretty rough after being tired and hungry from rafting (would probably still be rough even if we weren't drained). We waited for around 45 minutes after ordering for our food to arrive. A few tables around us inquired about their wait for their food--the whole place was just super busy. Will say it was worth it though, as we were served potentially the best garlic rolls we've ever ingested. They came out so hot, we burned our fingers and tongues, but did not care as they were SO good. So much garlic was loaded on top of the pillowy dough with cheese inside its layers. The amount of flavor was insane and epic. The four of us scarfed those down in like two minutes, so they were able to swap the empty plate for our two gorgeous 12" pizzas just as they arrived. The pizza dough was pretty thin, which wasn't bad but a little sad as it was really good, and the crust was the perfect thickness. The mushroom pizza had an amazing garlic flavor on top of the other delicious ingredients; we all agreed it was absolutely delicious. The hot honey pizza was also good, perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the honey, though a tad too spicy for us. Everything was gone within 15 minutes and we enjoyed every crumb of it. They also had some fire ranch, which even my friend who doesn't prefer ranch + pizza together enjoyed!! Prices were decent and definitely worth it for the quality and deliciousness of the food. Plus, the vibes were SUPER cute. They had live music playing in the corner and people were dancing (': A very snug situation, but very cozy and homey. If we ever make our way out for some other outdoor activities, this spot will be a MUST return. read more

Excellent wood fired pizza! Try "The Hots" which has a jalapeño honey drizzled which adds the perfect amount of sweet and heat. Salads are also super good with house made dressing that I always tell them they should bottle and sell. Great atmosphere in the historic building and great service. We went here at the end of a busy weekend. They were out of a few ingredients but were still able to improvise and get us what we were looking for. We got the arty hearty, peach party, pear walnut salad, brewed ice tea, and a hop water. Everything was delicious, fresh, and had amazing flavors! We visited this restaurant while visiting the campground cause we had heard good reviews about the dessert. We enjoyed pizzas, hummus, and a salad out on the deck. The road out front is a little busy and the flies were a little much but this place has so much charm. We enjoyed a local bottle of wine and my favorite dish was the hummus. The wait staff was busy but everyone was very friendly including the guests and patrons. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and as promised the gelato dessert did not disappoint! Yum! So good. A great way to finish dinner in the rocking chairs chatting with local river tour guides. read more

Came here for lunch as it opened, parking was a little difficult to find but other than that, this place is a gem! Unique decor & how they turned the place into a bar/ restaurant. My husband, dog and I sat on the 'porch' and ordered the middle fork mushroom & coloma combo pizza. Oven fired & thin crust pizza, it was outstanding- this is saying a lot as I'm not a pizza fan. The mushroom one was my fav and by far the most unique with even lions manes on it!! The pear & walnut salad was delicious and a generous portion. Will return & repeatable. read more

First time at Marco's yesterday had salad and a pizza. Both the salad and the pizza were delicious. I will return.

The mushroom pizza was fantastic and the pecan and spinach salad was really good too. It took about 25 min as I waited there for my pizza, but that's because they use a single wood-fired oven to bake them up and I'm not mad about it! Great thing but slightly chewy crust and locally sourced toppings. It had the feel of an old country store but run with the energy and flare of the younger generation. It felt family-friendly and there was a small stage where I presume they do live music some night. read more

So I have been traveling and eating pizzas all over the world.... Everyone's opinion is different... however I must say this pizza was top notch. I asked for it crispy as I usually do, and when I got my pie it was cooked perfectly and was freaking delicious. The dough was excellent. The sauce was excellent. Wonderful service, great atmosphere! We showed up right when they opened with a team of 10 year old softball players and their families to celebrate an undefeated season! The owners were welcoming and allowed us to basically take over the majority of the space. The pizza was fresh and tasted amazing. Somehow they managed to get all of our orders out very quickly. Heard really good things about this place. Staff was super sweet and the ambiance was great. Really enjoyed the patio seating area! However the food wasn't that great :( really wanted to like this place but I ordered the hots pizza and it was very burnt on the crust and super super thin. What a fantastic find from the moment we walked in the door! Adorable old building with so much charm! Employees were so friendly! The pizza was absolutely delicious! After a long day of river and sun fun, this place hit the spot for a beer, a pizza, and some ice cream to cap it off. Love that locals were just jamming together in one room on guitars, another guy and his dog were hanging out at the bar, and steady flow of people were coming in and out. Great place! read more

Good pizza! When camping every year we order here for our Friday night dinner. Service is fast. Great place to stop when in town.

I dig this spot. My motorbike isn't getting quite the level of attention it's accustomed to back home in the bay area where we had the Santa Cruz mountains to romp in, but I'm making do. Anyhow, on the few rides I partake in, I've managed to slip through this section of 49 and conveniently needed some refueling & refreshments. It's nice there's a gas station next door to refuel the beast, then waltz over to Marco's to eat & drink. The ambiance is super! No indoor seating. Sit out front and watch your motorcycle, or sit in back near the live music (I'm not sure when they do or don't have music - there's usually a schedule on the bulletin board but I just go when I go). Or sit off to the side on benches laid out on the lawn further back. Dog friendly place! The PBR is just $2 per can (12 oz) or $3 for the larger can. I like that they didn't raise the price this year. The food isn't spectacular, it's not common when a spot far out there has superior offerings, but what they do here, it is good. I really liked the mushroom pizza. It had delicious mushrooms, feta goat cheese, fresh tomatoes, and I think a few more ingredients. It was also the least lactose dose you could ask for amongst their pizzas (the gal at the counter knew that and my tum tum confirmed it). I don't condone drinking and driving. I definitely do not endorse drinking while on a motorcycle ride. However, I will imbibe on a light lager like PBR at a low & slow frequency as it is refreshing. If you like to do the same responsibly, or if you're cruising the area in a convertible, or wrapping up a rafting trip, do stop in! Note: they are open seasonally and tend to be open close to Memorial Day through I believe October. Also, be prepared to wait. When there is a short line and several people lingering, that means pizza can take upwards of 45 minutes. Grab a beer, grab an appetizer and CTFO. Enjoy! read more

Sorry, hate to be that guy, but this was an dreadful experience. We ordered a full pie combo pizza for $26. Ingredients were sparse, pizza lacked seasoning and the dough was extremely dense and WAY undercooked, almost raw. The young "gent" that took our order was beyond baked. If you want to be comfortably numb, fine, but when operating a business, woke the hell up bro! Restrooms are Sani-Hut outhouses :-O Liked the outdoor "vibe" of the place and it was a perfect Friday evening with live music, but the food and port-o-potties ruined the experience.
