What a great selection of whiskeys. They had some Irish that I haven't seen since I was in Ireland.

They use good bread on their burgers, my friend said their buns are delicious! I ordered a vegan burger and even the cheese and the bread was vegan! There's even a vegan noodle dish. This place leans into sushi: haven't tried this trip. I felt welcomed by the staff, and the folx inside seemed pleasant. Being people of color, we really appreciated this. I didn't care for their miso soup at all, so I don't recommend the soup. Tasted like someone went in real heavy on smoked paprika.

Lisa Ford, the co-owner, went above and beyond in every possible way. She designed a menu within our budget, created a customized bar menu, and she and her amazing team decorated, cooked, served, and made the patio feel warm, beautiful, and welcoming. They truly handled everything with such care and excellence. We were able to play our own customized Spotify playlist on the back patio for a fun Yacht Rock Friday night feeling, and their IT/AV support, Randy, helped us play a personalized video of the couple on the patio TV throughout the evening. It made the night feel even more personal and special. The food was truly the chef's kiss, the beer by Brian Ford, co-owner and brewmaster, was incredible, and the service was outstanding. Trista and the wait staff were fun, attentive, and made our guests feel so well taken care of. One of the best parts of the evening was seeing our son and daughter-in-love so happy and surrounded by incredible family and friends who enjoyed honoring and celebrating them. Our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful the food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience were. Auburn Alehouse is family-owned, community-forward, and an incredible craft brewpub. It is a wonderful place for private events, date nights, gatherings, celebrations, or simply a great meal with great beer. If you are in Auburn, driving from Reno to the Bay Area, or heading up the mountain, stop here. They are also a fantastic choice for private events and can work with your budget. They even host private events at their Annex across the street. We are so grateful we chose Auburn Alehouse for such an important family celebration. Highly recommend! We will be back - over & over & over! Huge Mahalo Lisa & Brian!!

The fries stood out too; crispy, and clearly not an afterthought. Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall food quality was consistently solid across the board. Reliable, tasty, and easy to recommend.

The owner cares deeply about both the pub and her customers, and the wait staff is always attentive and friendly. Super nice all around. The FOOD is way better than we expected for a pub. After our table mates were served we sat for almost 45 minutes before we were notified they lost our order AND the special we order had sold out. Yet, even after they told us they were out of chicken they continued to serve the special to the table next to us. After we selected something else from the menu another 20 minutes passed before we were served. The CA Cobb salad was about as big as a side plate and hardly any chicken and the hamburger was overcooked and WAY over seasoned. 2 hours from walking in the door to getting served. They tried to make amends by comping our meal..I understand restaurants can run out of food but when you "run out" you serve the people who put their order in 30 minutes before the latecomers are served. The event was good but there is EXTREMELY limited parking. The interior was hot as it didn't seem like the AC was working at first. Bottom line- it's nice to support small businesses but this one needs some serious schooling in restaurant management.

I called this business today because my Chase Business credit card showed an unfamiliar transaction…read moreassociated with their merchant descriptor. I was simply trying to determine whether the charge was legitimate. I first spoke with a very pleasant employee who explained they were busy because of the weekend, took my information, and said someone would most likely call me back early next week. I also contacted Chase to report the $845.61 transaction as unfamiliar and asked them to investigate. About two hours later, at approximately 9:45 PM, I received a call from the owner, Brian, while my 6-year-old daughter was next to me as I was reading her bedtime story. Instead of asking questions or trying to understand why I was calling, he immediately accused me of being a scammer and told me that "you and your family should die a horrible death." I was shocked by the hostility. My daughter asked me what the man meant by wishing us to die and it took me a moment to come together to senses what to say to her about it.. I understand that business owners receive scam calls and can be cautious. I get them all the time and some times it gets annoying. However, there is no excuse for speaking to another person that way. I immediately called back, left a calm voicemail and gave him the opportunity to return my call to apologize. I never received a response. I want to be clear that I do not know whether the unfamiliar charge was caused by this business, their payment processor, or something else. Chase is investigating that separately. My review is based solely on how I was treated during that phone call. Ironically, my father and I actually stopped at this pub on that day of June 5. We looked at the menu, decided not to eat there because of the high cost menu prices, and instead had a great lunch at Burger Me in downtown Truckee and even took a selfie with food as it was delishious (tuna burger was incredible - highly recommend). After reading other reviews mentioning similar interactions, I hope the owner reflects on how customers are treated. As a husband, father of three, and a nearby property owner, I expected far better professionalism. I have written over 100 Yelp reviews over the years, and the vast majority have been 5-star reviews because I enjoy recognizing businesses that provide excellent service. Unfortunately, this is one of the very few times I've felt compelled to leave a 1-star review. I do not like to leave poor reviews and I sincerely hope the owner reflects on how customers are treated and chooses to do better in the future.

He came back and cleared the table next to us and did not communicate anything to us. I asked, is that a yes or no? Without looking at us he said hold on. He finished clearing the table and walked away. He came back 10 minutes later and without saying a word he placed the bill on our table and left. Luckily we had the cash to cover it and a tip. As we walked away he rushed over, likely to make sure we weren't skipping out since he had been so rude. Will we go back? Uh no. This could have been handled much differently leaving us wanting to try them again.
