Awesome deli. Open early so you can grab a sandwich for lunch which is a huge bonus. Fresh quality ingredients that don't break the bank.

Subs: Very good. Fresh bread. Soft, but not flimsy, and it absorbs the meat/cheese/dressing well. Meats/cheese are good quality, they're serving mostly Boars Head products, and when they put dressing, lettuce, mayo, tomato etc on the sandwhich it's just enough, not overwhelming. Breakfast: This was quite excellent. The buster belly is really good. I've had similar sandwhiches before, but in almost every scenario it turned into a mess while eating it with the egg/meat sliding out, but not at Marco's Deli. The roll is firm, but soft enough where you can bite into it without resistance. Prices: Great prices. About 7$ for a 14 inch sub and 4.50 for a belly buster breakfast sandwhich. Looking at their menu, their egg sandwhiches are slightly cheaper than most places, and they offer an egg sandwhich + coffee for 2.67. A bottle of water is an affordable one dollar. Overall: Well run business that is pumping out tasty, fresh, and big sandwhiches at an affordable price.. I'm glad they're around and they appear to be doing well. As it currently stands, I think they're best deli in a 10 minute radius, and there are many deli's around, so hopefully Marco's Deli keeps up the good work. read more

Marco's has definately filled the shoes of Bulldog and surpassed it. Burgers are better than ever, fried are clean and crisp, BLT's are amazing and hot hoagies are right on. Honestly, I was concerned when Bulldog closed and I saw another place taking over the location. But Marco has put all those concerns to rest. Keep up the great job. read more

Worst experience ever... Ordered 7 sandwiches for delivery on Tuesday - 8/9/16 at 12:30pm. The order finally delivered at 2:10pm. Out of the 7 sandwiches ordered, only 5 of them arrived on the order. Called the deli to complain and asked for the owner. A gentlemen who barely spoke English said the owner was not there and he wouldn't be back until Friday. He then proceeded to tell me he was in charge. Tried to explain the situation to the him but as expected, it went no where. If you want to wait over an hour and a half for a lunch order which will be missing sandwiches from a place where the owner takes 3 days off during the middle of the week, Marco's in Metuchen is the place to call. read more

My family was looking for a local business to cater a birthday party. The first two businesses I called told me they could not cater for us because they wouldn't be open yet at the time we wanted the food (11 am Sunday morning). I asked a Metuchen Facebook group for suggestions of businesses that we could use. Numerous people suggested Marco's. Plus, one employee commented and assured me they could deliver at that time. Then, Marco himself commented and gave the same assurance. We decided to go with Marco's for catering and we're so glad we did! Marco himself talked us down from buying more food than we needed (which then meant less money for him). He was able to make a slight change to one of their menu items to accommodate a food allergy. The delivery person came on time (though he called ahead to say he might be a few minutes later) and set up the whole buffet, offering us some expert advice, but taking our direction. Our guests all said the food was terrific, and it was! Fortunately, we had leftovers that we were able to eat for a couple of days! Next time we have a catering need, Marco's is going to be our FIRST call! read more

I stopped by here to grab a quick small sub for my drive up to Martha's Vineyard. I got a 6 inch sub with a drink for about $6 or $7 which is completely reasonable. I think I also got a small bag of chips too. They were fast and the sub was very fresh and tasty!! I would definitely come back if I need a quick bite to eat! Clean place and friendly staff. If I want a cheesesteak or specialty sub I'm still going to Sub Place Better, but if I want something quick this is ten times better then 7/11!! read more

What a great deli conveniently located on Main Street I find myself stopping in there along with all my workers often. I own a moving company so my guys are extremely hungry and we don't have a lot of time in between a load up and unload I sometimes come in there with 5-10 hungry guys! They are always so quick inefficient of getting our sandwiches to us. The sandwiches are always filling and very satisfying even for the hungriest big guys! In addition to that extremely good value Marco and his crew are always so very friendly I'm there so often I consider them part of the family..... in addition to that the place is always clean well maintained I even bring my kids on the weekends all the food is delicious always try the specials but my go-to is either the chicken caesar salad and the chicken salad sandwich always fresh and always delicious! I called an order in for delivery. This was the first time my coworker and I tried the deli. We received a menu from a worker of the deli who walked in and gave it to us. When I called the woman who answered she had a horrible attitude and told us first, it would be an hour until delivery. After I ordered everything I told her I wanted to use my credit card and she proceeded to say " I will have to call you back I don't have time for that right now." Her tone of voice said it all. I called back and cancelled and tore up the menu. We didn't even get to try the food. We work in the service of people at our job and would never treat a customer like that no matter how overwhelmed and stressed we are. They lost customers because she couldn't keep her cool. read more

Great deli with good food and great prices. Ordered here a couple times now. Have only had the cold subs, potato salad and macaroni salad. Subs are really good and pretty big. Big doesn't always mean better but in this case it does. The sub rolls have a nice crust and soft on the inside. They always give a generous portion of meat but not so much that it overpowers the sandwich. The meat, cheese, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, oil and vinegar are perfectly balanced, fresh and high quality. The potato and macaroni salad are also very good but on the plain side. This is probably by design because everyone has different tastes in terms of whether things like carrots, celery, onion, bell pepper, relish, etc should be added. Although plain still tasted great. Had just the right amount of vinegar to give it that tang. If I had to nitpick the macaroni was maybe a little overcooked for my taste as I like my macaroni al dente but the potatoes were cooked perfect. Definitely will be my go to place for subs. read more

This place used to be on point, though the last month the service has become very poor. i order from them quite frequently once or twice a week, and the last month the service has just been terrible. i have been told multiple times that they do not deliver (even though they clearly deliver on there menu), one of the times the person told me he would have to ask the driver if he WANTED to take the order (even though i called half an hour before delivery stops), today i was asked my address then told it would take 1hr and 45mins, this is just weird for a delivery place and if that is the case they should def have more courtesy than just "well hes not gonna be back till .....") or im sorry about that we really apologize about this , or were working on getting more drivers, nothing just OK was the answer when i said thats way to long for delivery. i did at one point like this place but its falling off lately and quite frankly a disappointment ! read more
