Marcos pizza in Griffin gives really bad service . I ordered online a cheese pizza X-Large and when I got there they gave us a pizza with ONLY tomato sauce. then when I called to complain they instead tried to give us only 9 dollars of credit . finally when we went today to use that credit the lady there was just in another world we tried to a normal cheese pizza but the lady put on The order no cheese and when we told her we want a normal pizza she then changed it with cheese but no tomato sauce . for me that's NO pizza... overall if you Don't want to waste your TIME and MONEY then please I beg you don't ever come here! read more

Placed an order for pick up on a Friday night and it was a horrible experience. The pizza was scheduled to be ready between 8:20pm and 8:30pm so I arrived at 8:30pm expecting to pickup the pizza and head home. Went inside of the establishment and asked for my order and I was told that it would be ready in 5 minutes and that it would be brought to my vehicle. Sitting in my vehicle 10 minutes later and no pizza, one of the employees come out and ask am I waiting in an order for and I said yes. She stated she was sorry to tell me but my pizza was never prepared and she was very sorry. But she assured me it would be out in five minutes. Well fifteen minutes later still no pizza and at this point I really didn't want the pizza. Eventually she brought me the pizza and to my amazement the pizza was stone cold. I am not a pizza maker or a chef but I have enough understanding to know a pizza just made should be hot or at least warm. Never the less that was was my last time patronizing Marcos Pizza in Griffin, I would rather get a frozen pizza, at least I know it will be cold when I pick it up. This is the first time I order from this place and cust service was terrible. She took the wrong address. After I waited for an hour. When the driver finally called he said that they do not delivery in my location. But that was the first question that I ask the young lady, and she said that they do. She even took down my address and room number. Then when I called in to get my refund, Katie pickup the phone and never apologize or anything. She just made up excuses and hung the phone up. When I called back she refuse to answer and kept me on hold. So I had to call from a different number, that's when I spoke to Ashton who is suppose to be the manager. Ashton was very nonchalant. What a great pizza place! We split an XL between the 4 of us and had a few slices left. A garden salad all was extremely well prepared. Didn't eat here and never will. We were driving to Locust Grove on a 2 lane road and just outside Griffin when a small sedan passed us on a double yellow line on a hill with a curve and there were 3 vehicles coming from the other direction. He got stopped by a traffic light that held long enough that we could snap a photo of his vehicle... out of state... with a Marco's topper. Traffic was heavier so he couldn't go as fast as we were coming into Griffin. Imagine our surprise when he turned into the Marco's parking lot! Driving like a bat out of h*ll just to go back to the business?!?!?! I went up to the next light, turned around, and came back to Marco's. He was just sitting there with his door open. I walked in, asked for a manager... who could not have been older than 20 maybe... and told him what happened. He apologized but I doubt it went any further than that. Looking around I didn't see a single worker older than early 20's at best. When I was walking back out to my vehicle, another one of their driver's came flying into the parking lot like they were going to a fire! My next call is to the Griffin police to be on the lookout for these lead-footed drivers before they kill someone! Wondering what the franchise owner and Marco's corporate would have to say about these drivers and their behavior behind the wheel?!?! She had no time, or patients to understand this was my first attempt at their restaurant . The pizza is wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone. However the service leaves much to be desired. I have been there on 3 occasions. The first occasion was good. The second one, well after 20 minutes of sitting at the table with no waitress, we simply got up and left. I could understand this if they had been busy, which they were not; but what I assume was the manager and two young female employees stood uninterrupted at the cash register the whole time talking, while customers waited. The third experience was somewhat better. Like I have previously stated the pizza is wonderful, but again the service lacks. Our meal took over thirty minutes before it was delivered to the table and our appetizer beat the pizza to the table by about 45 seconds. I believe that if this company is to retain customers, they will need to concentrate their efforts at hiring and training better employees, and this begins at the management level. read more
