The steaks are the best I've ever had. But this day I stopped in for lunch. I ordered the burger and my favorite, the mushrooms. The burger is humongous with a layer of cheese and two huge strips of bacon. It's a good burger! Now, the mushrooms, as I said before, are a favorite; they have a nice layer of skin with a soft bite, and the sauce is one of the best. I think everyone should order the mushrooms for the appetizer. Worst service ever today! I must admit the past visits were pleasant. I walked into a slow traffic day In the restaurant was seated by greeter. I waited over 15 mins for the greeter that sat me at a table to apologize and take my order finally. I watched several more customers walk in after me only to have the waiter approach their table and take their order In under 2 minutes. i saw her wait on every table and converse with the people seated she would not so much even look at me or ask if I needed anything. Thank God for the greeter today or I guess no food for me huh. I asked for to go box and more soda as it was obvious the server was not working my table! Darn shame ! The greeter apologized again to me and said she was my server for the duration of my meal today. I did not enjoy this atmosphere today at all. People be careful who you hire to be the face of your business I did not ask her name to put her on full blast she was down right rude and me being in business myself I would have fired her on the spot. I will not visit this location again wish I could give an even lower review. I looked at the reviews 3.7 rating now I know why. owners / management hire you some good help and don't make your business look bad because your employee don't want to be there or just a grumpy rude individual. Went to J Henry's for lunch with a group of 10 ladies. Service was mostly good for group however 1 lady waited 10 minutes for her meal after everyone else was served. She ordered the lunch special. I ordered the blackened tilapia sandwich which was well seasoned. A huge side of Asian slaw. Two ladies ordered chicken tortilla soup and did not like it. The soup was a thick purée consistency. Once again we returned to our special occasion place on Father's Day. Very busy, but the staff handled it well. Our party of 8 was served quickly and professionally. Let me start off by saying my waitress was really sweet, however the noise level is pretty loud and here is my last word on this place so the credit card machine went down at the end of the day and rather than just take my credit card number and process it the next day which most restaurants would absolutely have no problem with it because it's not my problem that their credit card machine went down I had to go to a major shit storm and had to pay my waitress Payment in full through Venmo which seems really sketchy I wish I could complain about the food it was actually pretty good considering the restaurants in a strip mall but the thing about paying the bill inexcusable very awkward having to Venmo your waitress the money to pay your bill when the restaurant clearly had identification for me had my credit card number and could've resolved in the next day, we're not even talking a very large bill and people all around me were scrambling to figure out how to get the bills paid Having lived in Georgia for almost 10 years this is the first time I've encountered any situation like this even at some of the more upper scale restaurants like BONES or anywhere else and Georgia They should jump through hoops to fix it for us, now getting onto the rest of that dinner I had a filet which was not bad My squash casserole well good was pretty rich am I calamari well also great The salad was actually ginormous This restaurant should go back and fix or less I'll come back for another meal with a discount waiting 30 to 40 minutes at the end of the meal to be excused by the restaurant? What can I say about a restaurant that thinks it's a five star when in reality it barely 3 stars. I have lived in the area for over 16 years and in all those years the menu has stayed the same.
