We first learned of Marco's Pizza being huge fans of the now extinct joyful experience of walking through a movie store like Family Video to pick out our movies for the weekend. That little window to the pizza side allowing the wafting smells of glorious food to come in was genius and irresistible. While the movie rental experience, and the lofty late fees we always seemed to accrue are now long gone, we still love the occasional delivery order from our local Marco's Pizza. This evening we picked up three Marco's Pizzas to feed our family of 4 adults and 4 kids (9 and under) here in Clinton. We ordered a combo (half pepperoni / half Hawaiian) plus a Spicy Honey Pepperoni. The pizzas were fine -- nothing special or memorable, but they got the job done. The crust was standard, the toppings were what you'd expect, and the Spicy Honey Pepperoni had a very mild kick. Nothing to write home about, but everything was hot and fresh when we picked it up. We had plenty of pizza left over for everyone with full bellies. Good option if you just need to feed a crowd without breaking the bank. Would probably order again if we're in a pinch out in the area, but there are better local spots if you're craving something really good. read more

I've always felt like this is a pretty underrated chain. I'd wager that most fans of Marco's Pizza started off as Family Video regulars who were eventually enticed by the aroma of fresh pizza pies next door. This was an especially strong selling point at the Family Video stores that provided Marco's with an order window, so you could grab dinner for the family without leaving the comforting embrace of the "New Releases" section. Seriously, words can't describe how brilliant this synergy was. These days, Family Video is sadly no longer with us, but Marco's is still kicking. And they're good enough to stand on their own, too! Their pizza can't spar with the heavy hitters in our local pizzeria scene, but it's certainly a step up from Pizza Hut and Papa John's. The topping variety is strong (glad they haven't ditched anchovies like other pizzerias have) and you get some serious bang for your buck - especially if you opt into their promo emails, because they offer some killer deals there. I will say that I decidedly prefer their thin crust to their hand-tossed, so try that first. R.I.P. Family Video, and long live Marco's. read more

We ordered a large 2 topping pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. We added feta cheese and an order of cheese bread. Our total was $17.37. Not bad. BUT first...we were not informed that we could have added a yummy crust option like garlic butter or Parmesan for free. I would have loved that! They do use a lot of toppings but they use canned mushrooms, not fresh. Our feta cheese was loaded in the middle of the pizza and not spread out. The cheese sauce for the bread is not edible. The cheesy bread was yummy though. Not sure about the movie rental deal. We will not order from here again. read more

Customer service is deplorable! My husband ordered 2 pizzas recently on a snowy day. What we got was basically cardboard crust with pepperoni and sausage on top... no cheese! Who the hell makes a pizza and forgets to put the most important ingredient?! The weather was so terrible that he didn't want to drive back for a replacement. Instead he called to complain and was told we'd be given a "credit" on our account. My husband kindly trusted that they would actually follow through with said credit or at least note the account. Nothing was even noted when we were willing to try this questionable place again and my husband was accused of lying about their mistake. I ain't never mad at Marco's.They mess up sometimes but only in ways that are really beneficial to me, which I think is an excellent business model. Like, 'Oops, we accidentally made you two large pizzas instead of two medium, you're welcome.' Or 'Oops, you guys order from us like every other week but we keep sending you 30% off coupons that say we've missed you.' Or 'Hey, I know we told you it'd be 45 minutes for delivery and I know it's only been 15 minutes but here I am.' Plus, their pizza is pretty much the best in the area, barring 8th Street, and they'll bring you a free movie, which is nice for some reason, despite the fact that we pay for 76 goddamn streaming channels on our spaceship of a TV. read more

I ordered an extra large pizza with wings and never received my order. Two hours later after the driver and someone from the store calling me saying my order was on it's way I finally get told we were out of area of delivery and that I would get a refund. That someone was supposed to call and tell me. Well, I called four times in a week and keep getting getting told they were sorry and will refund my money right now and would ger an email notification. 10 days later and still no refund. Marcos is located inside of Family Video on Charlestown Road. I had never considered ordering from them until I saw their episode on Undercover Boss. There aren't a ton of delivery options in New Albany so I was pleased to see that they will deliver salads and sandwiches in addition to pizzas. You can also order a video from Family Video on their website and they will deliver it. I ordered one of their specialty pizzas and it was about the same quality as Papa Johns and the delivery was super speedy, less than 20 minutes. I would definitely order from them again. read more

I saw a flier for this pizza place and had to check it out. I found out that it's actually in the Family Video store on Charlestown Road. There's an outside entrance and also a window that you can order at while you're inside the store. The restaurant is part of a national chain, but the pizza was better, in my opinion, than you'd find somewhere like Papa John's. They'll add a topping to the crust for free, such as garlic butter, Italian seasoning or parmesan cheese. I had the garlic butter but I could smell it more than I could taste it. I also had an Italiano sub, which was okay. The ham on it wasn't very appetizing, and I took that off. Still, it's a nice concept to pick up "dinner and a movie" in one convenient place. I'd probably try another pizza in the future. They also have salads and the normal sides like breadsticks and cinnamon sticks. read more

I've been a customer of Marcos for several years, but because of disappointments with more recent orders, I've ordered less and less frequently. Tonight they've lost me as a customer. Pizza delivery is supposed to be about a convenient and worry-free quick meal. After 40 minutes wait time, my pizza shows up, but without the movie I'd also rented. (Their website says free movie rental with a purchase, but good luck getting that feature to work.) So, I wait for the delivery guy to go back for the movie. I live less than 5 minutes from the store...I know, I've done carryout orders before. About 20 minutes later, he still hasnt come back. I've set aside my work in the house (some repairs, so yeah, having a convenient meal was the plan here), and decide to start on the pizza even though I'm still waiting for the movie. The pizza is half cheese and half toppings, with extra cheese on all of it. Or that's what it's supposed to be. The side that's just cheese is more than half crust (like 3-4 inches of crust), with a small circle of cheese in the center. But, by now I'm hungry, so I start eating a piece. But I'm getting angry with every bite. $30 plus tip for this, and this is what they bring me. I'm tired of being disappointed with this company and letting it slide. So I call to complain, hoping they'll set things right. They tell me they don't see where I've rented a movie (I do, its on the itemized receipt). Does this mean I've been waiting gor a movie run that hasn't even started yet??? They offer to credit my account, but really, I just want what I ordered. They say they'll remake it and send it with the movie. But--they want the other pizza back (?)-so even though I'm hungry, I dont eat any more of it. Whatever. Another 40 minutes goes by. I call to check on things, angry now because what was supposed to be a quick, convenient, easy meal, if overpriced, is now anything but. The manger on duty gives me all kinds of reasons why I'm still waiting on my order--but it's obvious to me they didn't make correcting their error a priority, just put me back in the regular queue. So, offering to put a credit on my account really doesnt help at this point. If they valued their customers, at least a partial refund should be offered. $30 for this crappy service. And the pizza they brought the second time isn't much better. So, yeah, I'm done with this company. They've gone downhill, and how! Be forewarned. My first time ordering from them, I informed the guy that I never ordered from them before. And he went out of his way to explain everything on the menu. Even gave me great discounts and even on the receipt there was a note to delivery driver that..."I was a first-time customer and treat me like a rockstar". How freaking cool is that? They won me over after my first visit. It's our favorite place to get carryout or delivery pizza. I've never had a bad experience from here. Their pizza is always hot and comes well within 45 minutes. Way quicker than most other pizza delivery service in the area. They constantly send coupons that keep us coming back and doesn't taste like cardboard like the retail pizza places around. The two times they've messed up they made it right, the first time we ordered a large, but they ran out of boxes. So instead we received two medium pizzas, which they disclosed to us. Um, yes please. More pizza for us. With an 11 year old who can eat half a pizza himself it's appreciated. The second time they forgot two of the toppings on our pizza and a two litter. Not only did they remake it and bring us the two litter, they told us to keep the original pizza with the missing toppings. So yet again a win for us. I have ordered from Marco's about once a month for the last three years... The last five times the order has been below par. I complained several times and the last time I got a call from the manager, Paul. He offered to buy my latest meal which totaled about $23.00. I called today and was told no credit exists, Paul isn't here and he didn't answer the phone. If you are going to mess up orders, at least make sure that you hand out the meal credits you promise. We were delightfully surprised by Marco's pizza. They offer many coupons through mailed flyers. If you rent a movie from Family Video and are feeling lazy and don't want to cook or return your movie - Marco's will pick your movie up during a pizza delivery. Better than Pizza Hut, about the same quality as Papa Johns. It has a crispier crust. I suggest adding the garlic on your pizza. It is pretty delicious. For a pizza delivery that won't break the bank, choose Marco's. read more

Ordered (for delivery) a large 3 topping because I had a coupon. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The old time pepperoni is awesome. The only thing that kept me from rating a 5 was that when I opened the box, toppings had "slid" over to one side, so one side was heavily topped and the other scarce. Great taste, great price. Sent my brother to pick it up 30 mins later...they said they don't have it. I call and explain that I paid for it online via my card and they said that they gave it to someone else. What a truly horrible experience it was trying to order once again from the Marco's Pizza in New Albany Indiana. I have tried to order from this store on four different occasions only to have them call me back after placing my order and informing me that they do not have anyone to deliver it. Last night I tried once again to order from the store without success. I placed my order at 10:24 through the online website. They called me back at 10:30 and informed me that they stop delivering at 10:30 even though it clearly states they're open till 11 on the website. I informed the employee on the phone that I placed my order before 10:30 and therefore they should go ahead and deliver it to me. He repeated that they stopped delivering at 10:30. I asked the employee for his name and he hung up on me. I called back and spoke to the manager, it did not go well. If you want to know who does a better job the answer is EVERYBODY. Avoid this place at all cost, you will be very glad you did. I tried to call their corporate office complaint line and no one answered the phone. Not surprised! read more

Marco's is, by far, the best non-expensive delivery pizza I've ever had. Their competition (Dominoes, Papa John's, Pizza Hut) can't hold a candle to the quality and taste of Marco's Pizza. I feel very fortunate that, given the small number of locations, New Albany has one. read more
