Bearno's is easily in the the top 3 of if not my favorite local pizza establishment in all of Louisville. It is by far the one I frequent the most. I'm a huge fan of the thin crust style they offer that offers the perfect blend of cheese and sauce still. This particular location has been my "home" location for the last 3 years or so. They do a very good job customer service wise in all of my visits whether it was dining in or delivery to my home. Always pretty quick with the pizza as well and it's always fresh. This particular location in fern creek has much larger inside then the one in okolona that is a few miles away. It's about on par with the size of the one in shively and a bit smaller then the 4th street location if I had to guess. They have some side parking but I'd recommend parking in the rear of the building as it is easier to navigate out safely and more spacious. Overall I love all bearnos and This location isn't any different. great pizza with good service and affordable pricing. In my neighborhood they send out monthly coupons that is buy one xl pizza and get a medium pizza for free. Our go to order with my family of 6 is one xl cheese and medium pepperoni. That more than feeds us for the night and I usually have a yummy lunch the next day still. When the coupons is out (which seems like most of the year) it only costs us a $22 pre tip. Cant beat that at all!

This is my favorite pizza. Bearnos is a local legend in Louisville. My dad used to get my brother and I this pizza every Friday when we were kids. I love everything about it. We usually get a large two topping pizza(pepperoni and sausage) and it runs about $17 with a coupon. So to me the only downfall is the price of the pizza. It is a tad expensive for pizza. However I do recommend it and we try to go at least once every couple months. 5 out of 5 and we will be back always.

Cauliflower pizza Suppose to be Gluten Free and Allergy noted

We love Bearnos. Reasoning for giving 3 stars is because they offer Gluten Free options. I would hope they would honor that and that the staff would be educated especially the manager. I have only gotten contaminated once at this Bardstown location and it is when I ordered a Gluten Free Cauliflower Mama Bearnos and the receipt did not reflect Gluten Free/Allergy. Today, I decided to try and order the same and clarified with manager to make sure kitchen knew it was a Gluten Free pizza even though using a cauliflower crust and Gluten allergy. Expressed this on several occasions. He seemed to understand. Got order to find the receipt had no where documented Gluten Free or Allergy. I called and the same manager tried to put it on me and I requested another Gluten Free pizza to be made and the importance of the kitchen being notified of this GF allergy. The order receipt still did not reflect because they just reprinted my original order. When receiving the new order, no where was Gluten Free noted. See photos of original order and new order. BE AWARE if you have a TRUE GLUTEN FREE ALLERGY and if ordering cauliflower crust. My fiancé did say the pizza tasted amazing!!! I unfortunately did not get to eat it. Very disappointed and not worth me becoming ill. I did appreciate them not charging me. Thanks Bearnos. Mama Bearno's

This is one of the best Bearno's in Louisville! The service and food is always great. They even have a nice lunch buffet for a reasonable price too! Out of the specialty pizzas, I highly recommend the Mama Bearno's. It's loaded with amazing toppings, and it's so flavorful! I also love the build your own option as they have so many crusts, types of cheeses, and toppings to choose from as well! For appetizers, I also recommend the baked Italian wings! They are huge, and they are always so juicy and fresh! Bearno's also has a great selection of pasta and sandwiches as well. I love their chicken parmigiana and their chicken parmigiana sandwich!

I love the Mamas pizza. It is full of toppings and flavor. You have to use a fork and knife which I love.

Pizza was bland, they left off the bacon I ordered which at least would've added some salt.

Initially we were going to share a pizza but since they offered a 10 inch we both went our own way. Bestie ordered the Hawaiian & I chose the meatball. While noth pizzas were yummy, the meatball was clearly the better of both. The crust was seasoned perfectly and crunchy but not hard. The meatballs had a perfect flavor, moist and covered with cheese. I mean, how can you go wrong with cheesy meatballs? I also ordered a Tito's Island Punch and let me say, it packed a delightful, delectable & delicious punch! I'm a lightweight but it was so good that I almost ordered another one! They may be a chain but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of our food, our server Chelle (not sure if this is her correct spelling but she was perfectly lovely) and the price point. I would definitely dine here again.

The peppercorn ranch was good. I got the Hot honey pizza & my husband got the Big Four Meat pizza. We thought it was a good pizza. We both got the regular crust. They were flavorful & they didn't skimp on toppings. The breadsticks were fresh & had a good garlic flavor. I preferred the beer cheese/red sauce to dip. He thought the garlic butter was one of the better butter sauces he had in a while. So it all depends on personal preference. Overall I'm glad we tried them out.

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam

We arrived about 7 on Saturday night, it was busy, but we were able to be seated within 10 min. Amazing location with street parking available. Great selection of Bourbon and beers available, and a great menu. They offer 4 styles of pizza: thin, original, thick, and Sicilian. We went with original, and it was perfect crust, with a chewy edge. Louisville style is two layers of cheese and toppings, with a slightly thicker than thin crust. We loved it, but it's very filling. Lots of leftovers, which is never bad. We always get 16in to maximize our slice to pizza ratio. Service was fast and attentive, their pizzas do take longer than your average, but it was worth it. My book club met at Impellizzeri's this week, and upon discovering several of us have dietary limitations, the server and kitchen staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and ensure our ongoing health. A wonderful kitchen wizard ventured out into the dining room to talk to us personally, and confirmed that all the traditional pizza doughs, pastas, and red sauces are vegan. He offered to create a custom pasta dish with a variety of vegetables (spaghetti pomarola with garlic, spinach, and mushrooms), and ensured that the breadsticks that accompany the pasta dish (traditionally made with garlic butter and cheese) were vegan, prepared in a separate location in the kitchen to ensure no dairy contamination. For those with other food allergies and intolerances they ensured every detail was correct, even noticing that a pizza that was inadvertently prepared with an offending food item, and remaking it before it was even finished baking. Pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quantity and the truly excellent service, which is what truly made the experience special. My pasta dish was tasty. Is it the best pasta I've ever had? No - but it wasn't trying to be. What Impellizzeri's does well is serve good food at reasonable prices, in a location and with people who have an eye for detail and a passion for excellent customer service. Well done.
