Bearno's is easily in the the top 3 of if not my favorite local pizza establishment in all of Louisville. It is by far the one I frequent the most. I'm a huge fan of the thin crust style they offer that offers the perfect blend of cheese and sauce still. This particular location has been my "home" location for the last 3 years or so. They do a very good job customer service wise in all of my visits whether it was dining in or delivery to my home. Always pretty quick with the pizza as well and it's always fresh. This particular location in fern creek has much larger inside then the one in okolona that is a few miles away. It's about on par with the size of the one in shively and a bit smaller then the 4th street location if I had to guess. They have some side parking but I'd recommend parking in the rear of the building as it is easier to navigate out safely and more spacious. Overall I love all bearnos and This location isn't any different. great pizza with good service and affordable pricing. In my neighborhood they send out monthly coupons that is buy one xl pizza and get a medium pizza for free. Our go to order with my family of 6 is one xl cheese and medium pepperoni. That more than feeds us for the night and I usually have a yummy lunch the next day still. When the coupons is out (which seems like most of the year) it only costs us a $22 pre tip. Cant beat that at all! read more

I used to be a fan of Mama Bearno's pizza. However, since I stopped eating meat, I decided to try their veggie pizza. Unfortunately, it was very bland and tasteless, even though it had black and green olives. I also ordered a cheese pizza, but my kids didn't like it at all. I don't know if the lack of flavor came from the unseasoned tomato sauce or because the meat toppings made Mama Bearno's pizza tasty. Either way, I won't be ordering from them again. And my receipt clearly shows I asked for plates and utensils, yet neither were delivered with the food. read more

This is my favorite pizza. Bearnos is a local legend in Louisville. My dad used to get my brother and I this pizza every Friday when we were kids. I love everything about it. We usually get a large two topping pizza(pepperoni and sausage) and it runs about $17 with a coupon. So to me the only downfall is the price of the pizza. It is a tad expensive for pizza. However I do recommend it and we try to go at least once every couple months. 5 out of 5 and we will be back always. read more

We love Bearnos. Reasoning for giving 3 stars is because they offer Gluten Free options. I would hope they would honor that and that the staff would be educated especially the manager. I have only gotten contaminated once at this Bardstown location and it is when I ordered a Gluten Free Cauliflower Mama Bearnos and the receipt did not reflect Gluten Free/Allergy. Today, I decided to try and order the same and clarified with manager to make sure kitchen knew it was a Gluten Free pizza even though using a cauliflower crust and Gluten allergy. Expressed this on several occasions. He seemed to understand. Got order to find the receipt had no where documented Gluten Free or Allergy. I called and the same manager tried to put it on me and I requested another Gluten Free pizza to be made and the importance of the kitchen being notified of this GF allergy. The order receipt still did not reflect because they just reprinted my original order. When receiving the new order, no where was Gluten Free noted. See photos of original order and new order. BE AWARE if you have a TRUE GLUTEN FREE ALLERGY and if ordering cauliflower crust. My fiancé did say the pizza tasted amazing!!! I unfortunately did not get to eat it. I ordered at 12:20 today and the website sent a order confirmation and ETA or 1:30. An hour is fair in my opinion so I just kept working and stay busy in the meantime. Around 12:45 I heard a knock at the door, the pizza, sandwich, and salad were already here, hot, fresh, and made to order. Additional compliment to the delivery man. I was on a work call when he arrived, so I was trying to tell person on the phone to hold for a second, and not be rude to him. He was very polite about it, even handed me my phone book that was out on my step. To cap on the customer service my senior dog wanted to walk out and say hi and I was trying to get her to leave him alone, which he said was ok, pet her and waited to leave until I got her to come back in the house. This is one of the best Bearno's in Louisville! The service and food is always great. They even have a nice lunch buffet for a reasonable price too! Out of the specialty pizzas, I highly recommend the Mama Bearno's. It's loaded with amazing toppings, and it's so flavorful! I also love the build your own option as they have so many crusts, types of cheeses, and toppings to choose from as well! For appetizers, I also recommend the baked Italian wings! They are huge, and they are always so juicy and fresh! Bearno's also has a great selection of pasta and sandwiches as well. So Bearnos is one of my favorite places to enjoy a good pizza but have not posted a review. But tonight is was so good I had to post. I ordered the Mama Bearnos added extra cheese and banana peppers. It comes with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, black olives, green olives, green peppers, and onions. Yes it sounds like a lot because it is a lot lol. One maybe two slices is all you need. Put it this way I don't even like mushrooms and olives but on Bearnos pizza it's a must! So many flavors makes your mouth burst! I recommend Bearnos in Fern Creek for a awesome pizza pie. If I could post a zero star rating I would. It was my first time getting pizza from this restaurant so I did a carry out order. Everything was great and the pizza was good until I bit into a slice of pizza that had a Chunk of hair that you could see was cooked in the cheese of the pizza. The hair was like a red brown color and it was so many piece of it! That had to be the most foulest thing I've experienced. I called the restaurant and got put on to the manager who wasn't even at the restaurant who could only give me an in store credit for another time but I will definitely not be coming here again read more

Such great pizza and definitely one of a kind! When I visit Louisville I always make it a point to enjoy a pie from Bearnos! For lunch they have a buffet but the time is a few hours. My husband and I were visiting from out of town and wanted to find a good steak hoagie. My advise to anyone else looking for a good steak hoagie, is to try somewhere else!! Pizza was good. 2 med 2 topping and one super mommas special was $70. This fed 8 adults w leftovers. I did an order on line and pre payed but when I picked it up they told me I needed to pay an additional $2.36 because "on line isn't charging correctly" seemed sketchy and of course I didn't have any cash so had to charge it! I have tried many of the Bearno's pizza joints in Louisville and this one by far has the best service in town. Beer is always cold and pizza is always hot. This is the one to go to, just look for the bear. read more

I wish there was an opportunity to give bonus points. Bearnos, and this location in Fren Creek (specifically), is THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD! I'm stuck at home with a broken foot. Can't walk without crutches, can barely walk at all. Bearnos will deliver for FREE with a minimum $15 order. AWESOME! JJ's charges $2.75 and can't even get order correct-4x wrong in one week-SAD. Our truck broke down, and we had to get it repaired across the street. While we waited, we walked to the reataurant. Service with a smile, great personalities, and the family salad and large mushroom pizza were excellent. I rated this a 4 out of 5 because we are from South Jersey, and I believe we would have a more authentic Italian flavor in our pizzas from where we live. Other than that...everything was great! Saturday night May 13,2017 ...My son James ordered a pizza form this Bearnos and u would have thought it was a frozen pizza. We ordered A specialty pizza and wings the wing were good but everything we ever thought about Bearnos went out the window. The crust was terrible the toppings was the only good thing about it. When we want a real pizza I pick up the phone and call my Fern Creek Bearno's Pizza. I have ordered around 20 times in the last couple of years and they have always been consistent. I live 2 miles away and when I get it home the roof of my mouth still can get burnt. My family has always considered getting a Bearno's Pizza as a special treat. I was having one of those days and did not feel like cooking, so I ordered my husband and myself 2 large pizzas. I ordered via phone call and ordered what we usually get at other restaurants. This Bearno's location looks better inside than it does outside, but that doesn't help the fact that it still has an off putting old musty smell. We came for the weekend Pizza Buffet and we were seriously under impressed. There is 4 medium pizzas on the bar to choose from, 1 dessert pizza, baked pasta, meatballs, chicken nuggets, and veggies in a garlic sauce. To the left there is a very minimal salad bar that doesn't have bacon or bacon bits... I have to say that I really expected more from Bearno's after eating at the Taylorsville road location. Placed an order online at 7:30. I called at 8:40 to check status. The young lady didn't ask for any info as she put me on hold (set the phone down). I heard in the background "[my last name] is checking on order" twice. The young lady came back on and said, "We're running a bit behind. You're order ought to be there in a couple of minutes." Twenty -five minutes later, I called to cancel. It rang longer than my first call and a man answered. I said, "Please just cancel my order." He asked my name and I gave it to him and said,"Y'all got my name off the caller ID when I called 25 minutes ago." The gentleman said, "but you're order's on the way" with no delay to look up my order (obviously, they already knew me by their caller ID). I said that I ordered the pizza over an hour and a half earlier and asked how old the pizza was. The gentleman said, "Probably about an hour and a half old." I told him I wasn't gonna eat it so he might as well keep it. I have ordered from these folks in the past so I WAS somewhat of a regular. I will not return. This is the second time I've gone hungry trying to order from Bearnos. If you're hungry, DON'T ORDER FROM THEM!!! If you don't mind waiting and are okay with what they know would be a cold pizza that is seriously overpriced, waste your money here. read more

I do love their pizza but I am very disappointed in their customer service. Everytime I call the Fern Creek location for a delivery I am tempted to say nevermind due to the lack of customer service. It seems that I always get the same rude employee, very short, constantly interrupting me while I am talking, in a hurry to get off the phone and huffs and puffs when I ask a question about the menu or add on an item. I called today 9/14 at 3:30pm. If you don't like your job don't work there! You're going to end up losing this locations customers and I am sure your manager/boss is not going to appreciate the loss in sales. I have ordered from the Fern Creek Bearno's location 5-6 times in the past 10 months. Every time, the service and quality has been exceptional! The classic unique Bearno's flavor is there. It is the best pizza ever made. The Fern Creek location in particular has always delivered on time, the pizza was hot, or ready to go at carryout. Most Louisvillians like myself have come to a consensus that Bearno's is the best pizza. Ironically, Louisville is also the corporate hq of Papa John's and Yum brands, who owns Pizza Hut. I was very happy here! Loved watching the basketball games here. It was too crowded last weekend even with all the TVs so today we came early an got a table. They did not freshen the salad or steam table food after we arrived at 1:00 PM! The buffet does not end till 3:00PM. The baked pasta, chicken nuggets, meatballs, and steamed vegetables were gone! There was more pizzas brought out. We did ask if the TV sound could be turned up and was told no, they are not a sports bar! Yet there are TVs all around!! We were told they had a problem with people turning up the volume on their own last weekend and someone trying to do a business meeting? (in a pizza place with lots of TVs) Food was disappointing, when we left there were 2 people still there. I do hope they are not running off the wrong people!! We won the ballgame! Management is a joke at this place! I've given them three opportunities to win us back and every time there has been a screw up. First on valentines day my pizza never arrived and the lines were busy the whole night. Come to find out they took the phone off the hook. But this on was my fault according to the manager. Next we tries again and pizza was over an hour late. When my wife called the manager could be heard in the background saying shut up stupid expletive while the lady on the phone apologized. They did try to make this right and gave us a credit. So we tried them again but this time chose carry out because I wasn't about to go through the delivery fiasco. When I went to pick up the pizza I asked about the credit and the 2 girls at the counter had no idea what was going on and accidentally deleted it from the computer. When the manger came over she said oh well he didn't ask for so he pays full price right in front of me 2 mins after I had asked for the credit. Being from NYC, there is no pizza that can compare. However, we have found decent substitutes in other states we lived in. This place was by far one of the worst places we've ordered pizza from ... I'd rather order Jets than from this place. Not only was it overpriced, but it had no taste to it whatsoever. It was very soggy, not hot at all, and they cut it into squares even though it was a round pizza pie. Don't recommend!! read more
