Wonderful pizza served like a few other pizzas. Thin crust with chopped pepperoni. I'm not sure what is about chopped pepperoni, but it tastes so good!! Update to hours of service as list on Yelp... M-Sat 11A-8P Sun 12N-8P Curbside only!! No dine in, no carry out!! Call 812.945. He 1140

Other than a confusing pickup process (you have to call and then wait in your car... which can be time intensive depending on the wait), Arni's has great pizza! Super crispy crust and the pepperoni and sausage had so much flavor

I am currently staying in New Albany for a while and was looking to try some new places, have heard people rave about this place for a while as I have some family that live over here. I have to say I was very disappointed, it's really hard for me to dislike pizza because even bad pizza is usually good. This place achieved the impossible. This pizza tastes like the Tostino's frozen pizza you would get at the grocery. They even use the little cubed pepperoni's. What got me though was how little cheese was even on my pizza, I would have thought they forgot it all together except there was a little on two small corner pieces. One of the worst pizza's I've ever had.

"Nachos"

The pizza is great. Let me start by saying that. Thin crust, a nice crisp, not burnt. I genuinely love their pizza. However, I've also had other menu items that were sub-par. The "nachos" for $7 are movie theatre nachos. What a disappointment. I could go to Kroger and get my own chips and toppings for less than $7. If you're touting "nachos" as a menu item, at least include some jalapeño or other toppings. What a scam!!! I've also had sandwiches from here that were skimpily dressed. Basically, go for the pizza, but they don't get many points for anything else on the menu.

At least they left a note on the box I suppose SMH. I love the pizza but this is a little suspect if you ask me

In all seriousness there are very few things I miss about Southern Indiana, now that I live in California, but Arni's is one of these things.

Cheese bread- great texture, cheese was pulling apart, crust had a flavorful parmesan/italian seasoning dusting. Meatball hoagie- sauce was zesty, meatballs were full of italian spices and the bread was fall apart goodness. Calzone- was the so - so- not enough meat - at most 2 slices which was underwhelming with the cheese ratio.

But after two follow-up visits, I've realized my first experience was just a fluke. I'm now a total convert. The Game Changer: I asked for my pizza well-done this time, and it was perfect for me. I was with a group who ordered the Vegetable Pizza which was loaded with fresh, vibrant veggies...so good! The "Don't Sleep On These" Items: * The Reuben: I'm calling it now--it's outstanding. Perfectly balanced and definitely the sleeper hit of the menu. * Fresh Baked Bread: This stuff is basically a religious experience. Get it. * House Salad: Surprisingly fresh and the perfect. Big salad to share! I'm so glad I gave this place a second (and third) look. It's officially earned its spot as one of my favorite local spots

Unfortunately, this visit the only positive was the food. It was as good as our first visit. This time, service was slow and not near as attentive as our previous visit. I ordered a beer and it was out. I asked for a "taste" of an alternate beer. Our server disappeared for quite sometime. When he finally came back, he had forgotten my beer. We then ordered and it took forever for our food to arrive. Once our food arrived everything started to smooth out. We were about half way through our meal and they opened a whole wall of overhead doors. It's 11:45 in the morning, temperature in the upper 60's and wind blowing at about 20 mph straight in the doors. ONE table asked to open the doors totally disregarding the numerous other patrons. Keep in mind the patio was open, these customers could have eaten on the patio. The wind was extremely chilly and our napkins were blowing off the table. I mentioned to our server we didn't want the doors open and we were uncomfortable. He just grinned and said "It is a little cold" and kept walking on by. About 15 minutes later he came back to our table to see if we needed anything. I once again protested the door being opened made us quite uncomfortable. This time he spoke to someone and they closed the door on our end. By this time we were about to leave. One person in our party said had they opened the door before we got our food she would have gotten up and left. A real shame they totally changed our opinion from the previous positive to a real negative this time.

So, in fairness, I suspect if you order off the menu, you'll be brought a darn good pizza, served piping hot. The buffet is another story. $11 for adults, $5 for kids gets you endless pizza, soft drinks and some kind of "knots" (if you look hard enough). The pizza on the buffet was pretty good, as long as you like pepperoni or sausage. Gluten free options? Nope. Nada. Zilch. We asked for a thin crust veggie pizza and they accommodated. The salad bar was a huge disappointment shredded lettuce, a few peppericini , banana peppers and chopped bell pepper. A few bins held croutons, pepperoni and ham. Nothing fresh. Dressings come in packets. So Mazerella's. Gets good points for food. But the breakdown comes is service and cleanliness, or lack-of. The salad bar, the floors, the trash bins, the kitchen prep area were filthy. At no time did anyone come to the dining area to clean up. Tables weren't clean. Trash over flowing. And the buffet restocked only when they were down to one or two pies. With only 2 people working, it's clearly a staffing issue. The board of health would have lots to say about food safety. Would I go back? Maybe. Mazerella's is a whole lot better than Mr Gatti's or Marco's. But I'd feel more comfortable if they swept the floors and empty the trash.
