Mistakes can happen, and we were prepared to handle it calmly. However, what really upset us was the way the situation was handled when we called. The girl who answered the phone was laughing while I was explaining the issue, showed no concern, and didn't even ask for my name or order information. When I politely asked to speak with a manager or the owner, I was told no one was there, which was frustrating and unprofessional. After years of supporting this business, this experience was very disappointing. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and tonight both fell short. Unfortunately, they have lost a loyal customer. I do plan to reach out to the owner directly in hopes this can be addressed so it doesn't happen to others.

My expectations were high after placing my order for a couple slices at lunch. I decided to try a slice of plain cheese pizza in order to gauge their sauce, cheese and crust better. For my other slice I ordered their version of Supreme. The ordering process is you stand in line at the counter and place your order, and then they bring it to your table. Like so many places, they try to default you into making a tip even when it is counter service and self-serve drinks. Not a fan, but it's common. The table had red pepper flakes, parmesan cheese, italian herbs, and salt and pepper grinders. If you want utensils, they have plastic knives and forks by the drink machine. I did not test if these would actually function trying to cut a pizza crust, but I have my doubts. The pizza "looked" good enough, although the cheese did not have the gooey white mozzarella appearance and taste, and I suspect it is a blend of some sort. It doesn't specifically say what they are using on their website. I wondered if maybe there is a little cheddar mixed into it, based on the "spiciness" of the plain cheese pizza. The sauce was present but thin, and also did not taste quite like pizza sauce I am used to. There was a noticeable lack of sweetness to the sauce. The crust has a nice toothiness and was foldable, and those are plusses. Towards the edge, it was a little burnt looking and tasted burnt as well. Overall, the plain cheese slice was decent but nothing special. The supreme slice is where things started going downhill fast. There were globs of raw onions and peppers, and I mean raw. Like barely warmed raw. The peppers were the same way. I ended up scraping a bunch of that off trying to enjoy what I could. The canned mushrooms were decent enough since they are soft, and the sausage of course is pre-cooked. I think part of the problem is putting the pepperoni on top which shields the vegetables from the oven heat. Underneath and part of the pizza were sizable black chips of burnt something. I don't know what it was, but it's concerning that a place in its very first week of operation is not cleaning their pizza pans. In retrospect, I wonder if this is a problem unique to the lunch slices. Perhaps a normal, whole pizza is prepared differently and the vegetables are thoroughly cooked. Perhaps more care is taken to evenly distribute the toppings. All I have to work with are the slices I received, and they simply were not very good.

We got 4 individual slices of pizza and we loved it. We got the cheesebread after and we just took a moment to truly enjoy it.
