Ordered over the phone because ordering online was really wonky (like, it wouldn't take payment). When we picked up, our food was ready and looked great. When we got home, I realized we got an extra pizza - I thought it was because of the online order gaffe (like, maybe it went through), but realized it wasn't that... The pizzas were excellent - we love the crumbled Italian sausage! The big slices reminded us of our New York experiences (and it allowed us to say "we only had 2 pieces!" lol). The garlic knots were pretty good. We ordered a few add-ons... notably the garlic-butter dipping sauce, and a side of Alfredo for dipping. The garlic-butter was CRAZY GOOD - like, real butter with chunks of minced garlic in it. Real stuff. And a lot of it. The Alfredo tasted good, but was a little runny - but it worked. As far as Navarre goes, it seemed there were more chain pizza joints than local ones, so this was a great find that we would totally hit again. read more

Service - major problems this time. Emma was the waitress. We ordered our appetizer and pizza and had settled to wait. First came out our pizza. No plates. No silver ware on the table. No appetizer. When I asked the waitress where our appetizer was she looked like a deer caught in my headlights. She went to the kitchen and got the appetizer and plates and silverware. Then I asked why I should eat a cold pizza after we ate the appetizer. Again a deer caught in the headlights. Then I told her to tell her Manager they were comping the appetizer. Five minutes later she was back saying ok. Her tip was drastically decreased!! Food the pizza was good but cool not cold yet. The cheesy bread with pesto was interesting. Since it had pesto why does it need marinara sauce? I think that was another mistake. Ambiance - the same. This was a very disappointing visit due to the poor service!! read more

We hadn't been to Navarre, FL in about five years. In the past, there have not been alot of restaurants to choose from. We saw New York Pizza district when we were driving in from Pensacola, and had made a note to stop by. Later, when it was my husband's and his twin brother's birthday, we all decided to try it. Parking wasn't a problem. There was six of us and we were seated immediately which was great. To start with we all shared and really enjoyed the jalapeno poppers, meatballs and the fried ravioli. I love New York style pizza. Saw the other reviews and decided to give this a try. I ordered carry out and to my surprise. It was buy one get one free - you get a free cheese pizza with your purchase. I ordered a meat lovers - I would say the crust was a three. The cheese didn't have a lot of cheesy-ness flavor or topping. The meat lover flavor was a 4. My salad had some wilted, dead lettuce -meh. Not great. I would give them another try. It was a nice ambiance. Very homey, very warm, with a view of the pizza oven, plus plenty of free parking. The waitress we had was very kind. She had smile for us and was very sympathetic to us being in town, as well, given that we chatted about how we escaped Tallahassee to avoid Hurricane Helene. That said, I wish I had wonderful comments on the food. It was average at best, and perhaps there I'm the one being kind, because I was just grateful for something edible and my companion somehow managed to not complain. The latter bit a real miracle when it comes to food let me tell you. At first I thought it was me, but we were joined by my companion's boss later than evening and we had similar thoughts. We both ordered the garlic knots with marinara sauce. Well, the knots weren't half bad, but the sauce was missing flavor. Oregano maybe? Some other spice? We kept debating what was missing and we couldn't put our fingers on it. For our mains, I had a margarita pizza that to me was a tad too cooked for my liking, and again, what is with the bland sauce? I will say it reheated better the next day at least. Again, not terrible but not particularly delicious. Just okay. My companion's boss felt the same with his Greek pizza. My companion meanwhile ordered the Deluxe and he was singing praises for the more-cooked pizza crust. Honestly not sure what happened here. I feel the reviews led me astray. This is our second time ordering here and it was just as yummy as the first. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to order just sausage and pepperoni - order the meat pizza, remove everything but pepperoni and add sausage (in case you were wondering haha) Pizza, garlic knots and a kids mozzarella sticks and fries meal. The pizza is the hands down best anywhere in our area. My husband wouldn't eat pizza out from anywhere until we went here after going to the range. We are now addicted. The staff is always smiling and so very nice. The price really is not much more than if you would buy pizza from a chain, but NYPD is so fresh, it's totally worth the little extra. Tonight we had the eggplant parmigiana with spaghetti-it was delicious and so crispy. The spaghetti was good but the side of garlic bread could be better. Pizza came out a little more on the well done side as before but not complaining. It was really good. The booth chairs could use a little wipe down and attention to detail when cleaning. I came back here because we enjoyed the pizza so much the first time we came (ie my first review). We decided to do carryout this time rather than dining in, and when I went in to order, the girl at the carryout counter informed me the wait was an hour and a half and I should order at the bar instead. I understand there is only so much oven space so some of it needs to be allotted for carryout customers and the rest for those dining in, and I would have been completely fine just placing the order there, going home, and coming back in 90 minutes to pick it up... but since she told me to go to the bar and order, I walked over to the bar. Mind you, the restaurant was not crowded at this point. It was 5pm and barely anyone was seated at the tables. There was one couple at the bar. The girl behind the bar saw me and ignored me; I figured she was busy. She went up to the couple a few times and chatted with them. Then finally said "I'll be with you in a second" but didn't look at me, so I wasn't even sure she was talking to me. When she finally came up to me, I told her I wanted to place a to go order and that I was told to order at the bar because the other side had a 90 minute wait. I also was planning on getting a beer at the bar and waiting for my order, but she didn't give me a chance to say any of this before cutting me off and scoffing and walking away to talk to some other worker there. She had her back to me but he kept looking at me, so it was clear she was talking about me. Finally she came back over and said, okay it's a 15-20 minute wait to order here. And I said okay, do I place my order with you? She rolled her eyes and said "you can order with him", walked away, and then her coworker that had just walked over to the register glanced at me, then her, then started to talk to her, and that's when I couldn't help to think of all the other pizza places in this vicinity; this isn't NYC, this isn't even Italy, and this is definitely not the only pizza place on the panhandle of Florida. I'm also in this moment confused as to why I'm being treated like this -- maybe there was some drama going on amongst the coworkers, but you don't know need to be disrespectful to me about it. So I walked out. This is not the first time I hear about how the food is good but the service is rude. Next time you're annoyed and having work drama, try not to take it out on a customer that isn't even being rude to you. read more

Incredible pizza and a true local gem! This family-owned spot has been serving up slices for over 15 years, and after trying it for the first time on vacation--we totally understand why! We ended up going twice because it was just that good. I can't believe we waited all these years to try it. Every person we talked to was very friendly and kind. The fried ravioli was delicious, and the pizza crust was out of this world--perfectly crisp and flavorful. My favorite was the Bianca, with a ricotta base, garlic, and mozzarella... absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the Greek pie, which came topped with basil, onions, tomato, mozzarella, gyro meat, feta, and garlic butter. So much flavor in every bite! First time trying this hidden spot. My family and I randomly decided to try this since I had seen the sign a few times. It was sooooooo good guys! We are very basic pizza people so we ordered a large cheese pizza for us to share with Alfredo as the base.... it was so delicious! The waitress was so kind and helpful. I really wanted to like this place. Everyone ordered the personal sized pizzas at our table. Everybody's pizzas came out except mine. Our waitress informed us that the kitchen put the wrong cheese on my pizza, so they were remaking it. I was fine waiting for them to remake it, but to my surprise the pizza came out shortly after. I took one bite, and it was undercooked. I sent the pizza back because I was chewing dough. Once they put it through the oven again, I tried it and it was still doughy.
