When we got there we noticed they set up our table parallel to the bar, which meant there was very little room for people to sit, and very little room to walk up to get the food. We aren't sure why the manager thought this was a good seating arrangement. There was no salsa or chips on the table, no drinks, and plastic utensils were used. When we asked about this we were told that we were not the only customers and that they had to tend to the other 3 people there. This didn't make sense cause we called way in advance. An exceptional Mexican restaurant.. We arrived very late in the evening, close to closing time, and you always worry how you'd be received in a situation such as that. Well? I can tell you, we were warmly welcomed and we were taken care of very well. The food we ordered came out hot, fast, and fresh My wife and I ordered their signature burrito - a massive burrito like none other i have ever had - simply couldn't finish it, (but enjoyed it a few days later anyway). Heading to Erie for my daughter's graduation from LECOM. Since it's my birthday weekend, we decided to stop at the Tanger outlets for some well needed shirts and shorts. Getting hungry we decided to stop here for Mexican food. My shrimp fajita was excellent, however, my wife's dish was a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. She ordered the chicken and rice bowl and substituted shrimp for the chicken. It was over the top phenomenal. The white cheese was so flavorful. I highly recommend this restaurant. Stopped here after school shopping at the outlets. Got appetizers and drinks. It wasn't a bad little spot. It's close to the highway for anyone passing through! Staff were all very nice. Our waiter was on top of our orders and drinks. I got the King sampler, it wasn't too bad. The mozzarella sticks were a bit salty for me which is why I gave it 4 stars. I was fortunate enough to spend some alone time with beautiful wife today and we grabbed a late lunch together after some shopping at the Grove City outlets. So if you want quality vs food court, this is the place. Our waiter Liam was everything you'd want in an employee. This young man was polite, professional, respectful, and personable. He truly made our experience that much greater. We asked if the Burrito Azteca could be made with corn tortillas due to a sensitivity my wife has to flour. Not only did Liam take our request to the kitchen and get it approved, the person preparing the food made the burrito from 3 small corn tortillas. That is just above and beyond accommodating. I doubt every restaurant would go that distance to please their patrons. Even though they should. So in the picture where you see 3 burritos, that is actually 9 corn tortillas! The food portions were very large and worth every penny. The food was delicious! The overall ambiance of the place was peaceful and relaxing for a Monday afternoon. So if you're in Grove City, PA. I highly recommend checking out Margarita King Tacos & Tequila! And if you're able to request a waiter, I STRONGLY suggest Liam. He won't be there long. I was excited to try the new Margarita King this past week. The place is really hopping and seems to be the place locals are heading to for dinner and a drink. I was delighted to see a lot of new dishes in addition to popular Mexican restaurant favorites, so I took a sampling tour of the new treats. The Beef Tamales are like comfort food to me. They are available as a meal or an add-on to other menu items. Soft tender beef, cornmeal and meat sauce are so warm and delicious. I never had Sopes so I had to try them too. I chose the al pastor pork and was not disappointed. These tasty treats can also be ordered as a meal or add-on. Be hungry if you get the meal, as each Sope is the size of a burger bun and stacked with deliciousness. Add a delicious margarita and you are set. After a great evening I still wanted to try more, so I went back the next day for lunch and got the Birria Tacos. Oh my - so glad I got them. Walked in and saw a huge throne which was pretty cool. The lighting was amazing. As soon as I sat down the waiter gave me chips and salsa. I ordered a mandarin jarritos and "Tacos Mexicano". They were 2 tacos with grilled chicken, diced onions, cilantro, and rice. As soon as I took a bite I easily knew this place was a five star. The chips were amazing and everything else was. The food was absolutely delicious the service was tremendous and our waitress Rachel is the best waitress I have ever had in my entire life, she was kind, patient and funny and my wife and I really enjoyed having her as our waitress. If I was the manger she would have been promoted to assistant manager a long time ago, that girls deserves waitress of the year award and need a raise or promotion. The salsa and chips are great but try to limit yourself they'll fill you up quickly. The sampler was perfect because we got to try different Margaritas and each one was delicious. Horrible experience. Our server was short and barely talked to us at all, never checking in on us until we were done eating. We ordered a variety of A La Carte options, the quesadilla wasn't cooked all the way through, and the enchilada and chile relleno tasted purely of American cheese. I NEVER send back food but we ended up sending back the chile relleno and quesadilla with the explanation of it tasting like American cheese. The server took the plates said "okay" and walked away, she never apologized or asked to fix it in any way. I asked for the bill then and when she brought it, she took off the food we sent back, which is appreciated, and proceeded to say that all of the cheese is the same, like the quesadilla that we choked down. During this conversation she said something along the lines of that she was nice enough to take it off the bill, I have no right "to be rude" and she'll put it back on if she wanted to. It was incredibly aggressive and felt like a threat, she then took the bill and my card and walked away without saying anything else, leaving me unknown how much she was even going to put on my card. When she brought it back she essentially tossed it down on the table, I tried to politely say thank you and talk to her and she didn't even look at me. I understand not likely food some places, but the service was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. read more

Where do I begin? I'll start off with the good: nice beer specials and the server Ericka H. was excellent. She performed her job well and checked with me often on how I was doing. Thant's all the good I can muster up... The bad: The chips weren't handmade, they were fresh out of a bag, although I'm using the term "fresh" loosely. The salsa came from a jar, and it was by far the WORST salsa I have ever experienced...no spices and zero heat. I'm not asking to have my lips burned off, but jeesh, give me something that says I'm eating at a Mexican restaurant. Honestly, it was nothing more than crushed tomatoes. I should have known when I saw the guy next to me shaking salt and pepper on everything, including the chips. I ordered steak fajita's which was a bad move on my part because I was sitting at the bar and had limited space, my bad. The steak was tough and covered with chili seasoning...as in I felt like I was eating a bowl of chili. Yes, the skirt steak is a tough cut of meat, but when cooked properly it can be quite enjoyable...even Chili's can handle this. I'm not sure where they got the flour tortillas, but they were paper thin, and I ripped each one trying to separate them. I was barely able to eat my meal and pretty much left 1/2 on my plate. I couldn't get out of that place fast enough. How this place has 4 stars is beyond me, they truthfully should be embarrassed about the quality of their food, or the lack there of. I paid $33 for I think a 32 oz pitcher of margaritas and got more of a sugar rush than an alcohol buzz. Let's start out that I LOVE Mexican food (so me giving a bad review is nearly impossible)! I will give 2 stars for the selection of Margarita's. Let's review now why three stars were taken away: First, for the watered down margaritas. My husband and I both ordered a margarita they arrived about 15 minutes after we ordered (and finished our appetizers). They were extremely watered down before even actually asking for ice for my "frozen" margarita. It is likely though the waitress forgot and they were sitting at the bar for 15+ min. Next was for the poor service - no refills on kids drinks and waitress only was at our table to order and deliver food; otherwise couldn't find her. The chips came to the table in pieces and they brought the food sides out at least 5 or so minutes before the main food came out. And then there were the tacos...IF YOU HAVE KIDS DO NOT go by the online pictures; there are peppers and onions in the ground beef mix. My kids are picky (like most) and the pictures online show plain ground beef, no onions or peppers. One of the servers (not ours) asked how everything was and if they could get boxes for everyone, we had to reply 'no thanks we will just end up throwing it away because they won't eat them.' Another waiter came over with the bill and did take off the kids tacos from the price, which was nice. However after still spending almost $75 on food and water downed margarita we still had to go to McDonalds for the kids. Maybe it was a "busy"night??? Came here because an Instagram page promoted their nachos and they looked absolutely amazing. Well the advertisement did not disappoint. The nachos came out exactly as they looked online. We also ordered the birria tacos and they were delicious. The meat was so tender and tasteful. I would also like to mention the bartender Lexi. She was very sweet and made sure we were accommodated with anything we needed. As being from Pittsburgh and driving an hour for this restaurant I was not in the least disappointed. 10/10 would recommend and will be back again :) read more

Amazing food and super fast service. The chips are delicious, especially with queso. I have not tried anything here that I didn't like. My favorite is the OG special. The portion sizes are huge and the quality of the food is fresh and not processed. Everything is extremely tasty. I can't believe how fast the kitchen puts out the food, and the service is always friendly and excellent. The interior is beautiful with huge booths, where you can actually spread out and not be elbowing each other. It's rare to find a restaurant-A+ in all categories. After being inundated with videos of Birria Tacos on Tik Tok for weeks I was thrilled to find a restaurant near our hotel a few weeks ago that served them. I have to admit, I was shocked at how busy both the restaurant & bar were at nearly 8 pm on a Friday evening, especially with Covid guidelines still in place (I'm no covid Karen just stating the facts, it wasn't a concern for me but could be for others). We were seated right away and there we sat - for about 20 minutes even though multiple servers, the host & management walked by multiple times and must have seen the frustration on our faces so eventually someone dropped off chips & salsa. A little while later, just as I was about to walk out, our server, an older woman named Cheryl appeared, no apology for our long wait, started to walk away after we gave her our drink order but we quickly gave her our meal order for fear she would disappear again. I went with the Birria Tacod while hubby got the Vallarta Burrito. Hubby said his was good but after all that longing for a Birria taco ended up with me being disappointed. It basically tasted like pot roast in a taco shell with some oily au jus to dip it in and, to be honest with you, the fact that this item isn't even on the menu (I had to ask for it, I had seen a review about it and a photo, that's the only reason I knew they had it) which makes me wonder how fresh it actually was. Overall I left feeling disappointed, in retrospect, wishing the waitress would have showed up 2 minutes later, after we had walked out. I've only tried their Tacos Mexicanos on soft corn tortillas. Specifically, the Al Pastor. They are really good. A little kick and the pork was nice and moist. Topped with cilantro and onions and a well seasoned side of guacamole. They reminded me of the tacos I grew up on in Los Angeles. They aren't small so two was enough for me. The chips and salsa were very good as well. I love warm tortilla chips and fresh salsa. read more

We've eaten here twice now, since they opened, and both times, the service was fantastic and the food was great. Everything is served fresh and promptly. The servers are attentive without being annoying. The atmosphere is nice as well, and the booths are nicely separated to allow for maximum seating during the pandemic.
