When rated among other hotdog shops, this place scores highly. The hotdogs were what was expected at a Coney Island (not big and beefy), sauce was very good. Fries were hot and crisp. The setup of the shop was initially annoying to me as you order at the counter and take silverware, etc, then the worker brings out your food. After experiencing this process, it allows them to save $$ to keep prices very reasonable. We chose our own seats, and went to the sunroom where it was bright and warm. Service was pleasant. Lunch specials were great. We couldn't finish our food as there was so much. On another note, we ate at the bar side a few months ago and the food was delicious. That is what brought us back for lunch. Bar side wasn't open, but the restaurant was a nice surprise, and they have beer available in the coolers if you'd like one. read more

Their French dressing is clearly homemade and the most delicious I've ever had! Got a grilled chicken salad and it was huge! The fries on it were cooked perfectly! Their hot dogs, hot pepper cheese balls and wings are just as good! Service is always polite and kind! Both on the restaurant and bar sides! (THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THE BAR SIDE) - I have been here multiple times as a local. Came with my sister, sister in law, and brother. We knew the service was ALWAYS slow considering we have only seen 1-2 people working at once for a full bar, multiple booths and tables. My sister in law ordered a water, but was demanded a form of ID... She is 25. On the door it does state you must be 21 to enter, we understood that simple issue, and were going to get her Id when the bar tender states as we were leaving to get the ID that "you actually cant enter any bar without someone over 25" something along those lines.. so he clearly made this up..Which made us just walk out the door as he was almost barking his rules at us, as everyone watched. Half of my party was over 25. This is CLEARLY a regular's only, hates anyone young enough to look under 30 bar. We have ALWAYS had issues with timing in the past but this recent experience really went beyond. We have no interest in spending our money here now, and i don't encourage anyone to either. The NON bar side is fantastic may i add. The service was great and quick, and AMAZING food. Feels like family. Seems like the bar side needs to learn some customer service from their neighbors. read more

One of the better (and cheaper) places to eat in Slippery Rock. The service is pretty slow but it was a packed house so that is totally understandable! The cheese fries are subpar tho. The cheese was chunky and not very appetizing. Their regular fries are AMAZING though. The sub wasn't my favorite and I usually opt for their cheesesteak because it's amazing. We were polite and patient while she was very unprofessional and provided terrible service. Blamed her mistakes on us. Took 6 orders without writing them down and then got mad at customers when asking for the correct drinks/food. To the point she felt the need to yell at one of us. Very awkward and unsatisfying to be there with her as our waitress. Also, she did not keep her mask on. Bri is hands down one of the best bartenders, too. She's personable, knowledgeable, and our orders are always correct.
