Place is a little small but it is so intimate. I had such a great time with my girl's. It's a perfect date night spot the music wasn't too loud. Food was delicious. Severs was very courteous. I would definitely go back again.

Wow, this place shakes you down and nickel and dimes you for everything. $11 extra for sour cream, rice, and a tortilla??? And what is the random $2 fee by the tax?? Their happy hour prices are teaser prices

Enchiladas Suiza- beef, chicken & cheese. Excellent!!!

Took a gamble on this place and it paid off royally:-). Nice interior vibe ( but I really miss Meson Ole!) and sat in the back which I recommend. A/C was a but too warm for my taste. The guacamole which they made fresh at the table was excellent. Drinks were good but wish they were bigger as other places often are. All the food was really excellent and heartily recommend! I am looking forward to my next meal at this establishment!!!!!

3 1/2 - 4 stars. This may have been the first gathering where one of us did not pre-plan a place to eat. Feeling lost I once again turn to yelp for guidance... Well Margarita's itself is not a first but this location was! In the mood for guacamole and I was trying to keep things healthy. The guacamole was good- the salsa and chips also! Then I ordered I believe #41 it was chicken with rice and beans. My friend ordered steak fajitas and she loved them! The service was top notch! When I asked for red onions on the side and jalapeños on the side the server had no problem. He then even asked me if I want more peppers and when my friend and I said how much I love spice- he asked if I wanted to try the special red pepper from Mexico!! So I did!! Amazing :)

Amazing ambiance on a Saturday night . Best drink from all Margaritas on Long Island . Couldnt ask for better service! 5 stars isn't enough !

How is the restaurant called margarita's cafe and you're not serving margaritas? That was just a start. Queso looks like it was poured straight from a can. Guacamole is not good and the salsa is watery like it is store bought as well. Lobster was stinky like it's old and my friend's lobster was undercooked. And on top of all of this the owner is rude.

Avocado salad. Mostly iceberg lettuce, no red cabbage, the avocado was all black

Very disappointed with the take out. First, they forgot to pack the salad dressings and I had to drive back to the place to get it. When I opened the salad, the avocado was all black, missing the cabbage and mostly just iceberg lettuce. Then the vegetarian platter, the cheese tostadas were hidden under the lettuce with no cheese and soggy beans. Very small portions. I'm very surprised because last time we went it was great service, bad night?

Eh... it was ok. Chips and salsa were good. No liquor license yet, that sucked. Tamales were drowned in sauce and the ends were burnt.

Our waitress made us feel completely comfortable we were laughing, having side conversations, and genuinely enjoying ourselves all night. By the end of the evening, she even said, "Goodnight, love you!" and quickly laughed saying she didn't mean to say it. That pretty much summed up the vibe of the night friendly, relaxed, and memorable. The food was excellent from start to finish. I had the Caesar salad appetizer, which was very good, and my sister had the calamari, which she said was excellent. For our entrées, we both ordered the chicken parmesan with alavaca sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. To finish the night, we shared the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was the perfect treat. The portion is definitely big enough for two people, so I wouldn't recommend ordering one per person. The location is beautiful and right by the water true to the restaurant's name. The only small thing to note is the parking. There are two parking lots, and the first one is definitely the better option. The second lot leads closer to the waterfront entrance and can feel a little tight and snug when parking. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely go back. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service.

Both were very good and we enjoyed them. For dessert we ordered a cannoli and split it. First off, all the dishes including the cannoli are large and meant to be shared, unless you order half portions. That cannoli! It was the best cannoli we've ever had, you pull pieces of the shell off and dip it into the cannoli cream, amazing!

We had taken the AirTrain from JFK to the LIRR, and rolled into Mio Posto with our carry-on luggage and backpacks. It's only a block from the Merrick station and we hadn't eaten anything since breakfast. Somehow we were unaware of its existence, despite living only a few miles down the road, so we were happily surprised to see a lively crowded bar with a younger group on the right, a high ceiling, well spaced and white-table-clothed tables in the dining area with older adults (like us) on the left. The owner, "Frankee," greeted and seated us. He also dropped by to say hello and chat ... very friendly, and we saw him sit down at two other tables to chat. One time there was a live singer playing an electric keyboard at the far end of the bar, lots of songs we recognized. There were four unoccupied tables on a narrow second floor nook spanning the rear wall, maybe for a small, private party? Both times the service and food were excellent, from the salad to the entrées to the dessert (including great tiramisu). The last time we were there, I snapped a photo of the jumbo shrimp over spinach with oil and garlic, but didn't bother with photos of the dishes with Parmesan cheese because then all you see is mozzarella cheese on top and not what's under it. FYI, a lot of dishes are called "Parmesan" due to the Parmesan style of layering the entrée (whether it be chicken, veal or eggplant) with sauce and cheese. It's moderately priced. Their "half" portions are often enough for two, so you can often order for one, but get enough for two, especially if it's a three-course meal ... just ask for extra plates.

We were in a section that included a live singer and made for great ambiance. By 7:30, every table was filled. For restaurant week, I chose the 4 blue point oysters, the 6oz filet mignon and the cheesecake. The oysters were great and subtly briny and the filet was cooked perfectly (though the potato and vegetable side were pretty underwhelming). The cheesecake was considered Italian and was very lumpy, grainy and I did not like that style. We also ordered the brussel sprouts, grilled octopus and creamed spinach. The brussel sprouts were the highlight of the meal - highly recommend!! The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly The creamed spinach was a tad salty but yummy They also half bottles of wine which was a happy medium for my party My sister got the mussels, lamb shank and tiramisu as her restaurant week choices.
