Friendly baristas. Quick service. Chill vibes. Great coffee. Served in glassware. Tasty food. French music. Ample work space. Love it. Will return.

Margaux is always one of my favorite spots in Pittsburgh for coffee and a little brunch. I love the vibe in there, staff are always so genuine and sweet, and service is incredible and quick. I always go for the Chicken Salad toast but my friend and i came and also tried the Sweet Potato hash toast and that was one of the most amazing things i've ever had!!

I am here for more hours than I am at my home some days. This place has a great ambiance and is perfect for every vibe: hanging out with friends, getting work done, informal meeting, date, etc.... There are very few places you can get a beer and finish up some work and this is one of them. They also have great cocktails, coffee, and food. I mean what more could you ask for. I got the croque monsieur (8.9/10) last time which was very filling and good but the lemon vinaigrette on the side salad lowkey had me feeling some type of way....I couldn't stop thinking about it afterwards. It was so yummy, both fresh and tart. Anyways, tldr I love this place. It's everything you could ask for in a cafe/bar/third space.

Beautiful bright and open coffee shop. It's great for meeting w friends, working or having a bite to eat. The space is very big and lovely. Staff was responsive and friendly. I got a good cup of tea and breakfast and breakfast sandwich. Food was great - high quality and delicious. My tea and sandwich were $17 w tax. Tip extra. I needed a place to work and really appreciated how much room there was and the plugs. It was busy but I still found space. I'd come back to work and snack again.

Okay I need to come on and post an updated review since I came for brunch today. It was AMAZING. I ordered the avocado toast and jasmine tea. The brunch toast was a decent size and it was so good! My friend ordered the chicken salad toast and also loved it. There was a decent crowd but we were able to find a table without a wait. Also love that street parking is free on Sundays. Im 100% coming back for another brunch!

A group of five of us stopped by yesterday at noon. It was a little tough to find a place for all of us but it worked out in the end. Pretty much every seat was taken but it never felt overly crowded since the space is so big. We all got coffee and a couple of people got food. We spent a little over two hours there planning a trip and it was the perfect spot to do it. They have free WiFi so it's also a good place to work from home.

Okay, Margaux is a vibe! I met a friend here for breakfast. You go up to the counter to order and they will bring your food/drinks to you once ready. Seating I also self served. I ordered a chai latte and the Morning Salad, which has greens, fennel, tomato, cucumber, hard boiled egg, goat cheese, and lemon vinaigrette. My food and drink were not only beautiful, but also delicious! All of the staff we encountered were also very nice. During the day, this would be a great place to work at. That same evening I was driving by and noticed how Margaux looked after dark. The low lighting is moody and it just looked like a place to enjoy a cocktail at and just vibe. I will definitely be back in the evening to to check it out. Overall, it's a cute space with delicious offerings!

Right around the corner from the hotel, this was the perfect place to walk for breakfast. I had an iced chai and the avocado toast on sourdough, yum! Service was fast & friendly, love the layout and decor of the space. It's spacious and room, sleek and comfortable. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

I have nothing but good things to say about Margaux! I stopped in for brunch and we split the avocado toast on sourdough along with the waffles with strawberries. I've had this avocado toast many times before and I have to say it may be my favorite I've ever tasted! It's always so fresh and flavorful. They never skimp on the avocado or the toppings and the sourdough is such a delight. The waffles were a wonderful sweet treat, I was obsessed with the whipped cream. Phenomenal food aside, the atmosphere and service is simply outstanding here. I've also visited in the evening for cocktails which was equally as magnificent an experience. Highly recommend visiting Margaux day or night, you can't go wrong!

My favorite part about Margaux is the space. I love how versatile it is, as it serves half as a bar half as a cafe. I come here a lot to study with friends, especially because it's open a lot later than most cafes are. The space is spacious and comfortable, with lots of natural lighting making it one of my favorite spots on a nice sunny day. The drinks and food are slightly overpriced and none of them really stand out. I think the food is slightly better. Their kitchen menu is the best of their food, with my favorite being the chorizo croquettes. They are pretty small croquettes though. Sometimes the drinks, especially the matcha, feels a bit watered down. They have pretty good happy hour deals though, and I would recommend that over the cafe menu.

What a CUTE PLACE. Food was amazing. Service was efficient and kind. Ambiance was perfect. My friends and I went here to exchange holiday gifts and it was a great vibe especially with the casual seats such as couches and coffee tables. Will be back!

Margaux in East Liberty is a truly great European inspired cafe!!! By day, it's the perfect spot to sip on a specialty coffee while lounging on cozy couches--by night, the space transforms into a sophisticated cocktail bar! Offering small plates, light bites, coffees, cocktails & desserts. I recently stopped by to try their seasonal café menu and was impressed. The root beer espresso float was so good--made with house-made sassafras root beer and oat milk cold foam infused with coffee and caraway. It was simple, caffeinated, and tasted just like a classic root beer float with a grown-up twist. I loved it! The sage latte was whimsical and floral but not overly earthy . I also had a croissant, which was flaky, light, and absolutely delightful. I can't wait to go back and experience the nighttime vibe at Margaux. If the cocktails are anything like the coffee, it's going to be a standout spot.

beautiful ambiance! very nicely decorated interior with big beautiful windows which let in a lot of natural life. the staff were all very nice and helpful! the food was pretty good, probably on the pricier side, but that's pretty standard for cafe breakfasts:

It has a roastery, bakery, and several cafes in Southwestern Pennsylvania, and it provides training and equipment to other businesses. My husband and I were customers of this cafe in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood one time. The menu listed coffees, espressos, lattes, teas, hot cocoa, cookies, muffins, scones, sandwiches, etcetera. A refrigerator contained yogurts, juices, oat milk, and other bottled beverages. Shelves held bags of coffees and kettles. Employees kindly took my husband's order and payment and promptly made our beverages. Some tables and chairs were inside the cafe, so we sat down to enjoy our beverages. Other customers were using the dining area to read, spend time with family and friends, and work on laptops. I rate the Chai Latte has 5 stars and the holiday Sugar Plum Latte as 4.5 stars. We enjoyed their flavors. Each beverage was 12 ounces, and their total price was $11 plus tax and tip. I did notice that the cafe was very humid because of the cold weather outside and the many customers inside. The windows had much condensation. I wonder if a dehumidifer would reduce the indoor humidity.

One note is, I think they have a wifi limit where only a certain number of people can connect. I tried all night to get a connection and could not for any of my devices, nor could my friend. Overall the ambiance is catered toward chatting rather than studying as the tables are very small and slow or no wifi. I like the night vibes it has though, we need more late night 3rd spaces like this one!! I got a hummus plate and ginger tea. The ginger tea was just okay. The ginger was overpowering in not a good way. It highlighted the spiciness of ginger without letting any type of "tea flavor" through. It tasted more like ginger water. For a tea house, I thought it would have more depth. The hummus platter was very yummy! The pita was warm and the olive oil on the hummus added a nice touch to it. I think I would have enjoyed the experience more had the tables not been as wobbly, the WiFi worked at any point, the tea had a bit more nuance to it, and the cloying smell wasn't there. It is a very good chatting spot for late night meetings ups with great food!
