Stopped in at Margie's after a bit of a Yelp snafu that left us looking for dinner. What a great decision we made ! I've been here before but, not in years. The parking is odd with a little lot in front but, plenty of street parking around. You enter into the bar and there's a dining room in back. Nothing fancy here, it's a busy neighborhood place with a good feeling. They happened to be having a trivia night and it was jumping. The menu is pretty standard bar food with some interesting additions. Most importantly, all the food seemed well thought out and prepared well. We saw some spaghetti dishes and other parm items as well as wings and big beef on wecks. I chose a pizza burger which was delicious and attractively presented and my friend had a chopped cheese steak, both with fries. I was surprised that whoever is in the kitchen, took the time to grill the roll, have fresh ground beef and make it nice. In a city with a lot of little local places, it really stands out and makes a difference. The waitress, one for the whole room, worked hard and everyone seemed happy. The food was quick and she kept on top of the beers- ha. Definitely won't take as long to come back here! read more

We went on a night they were doing DJ Trivia, it was packed and only a couple tables were open. We had to park down the street since it is a very tiny lot. The staff was friendly. For an appetizer we got fried pickles and they might be the best I've ever had. They were amazing, nice and crunchy and the sauce was very good too. For mains, I got a cup of French onion soup, which was good, nothing spectacular but still good. Lots of onion. The person I was with got the pizza burger which they absolutely loved. Both "buns" were mini pizzas. The fries were also very good, nice and crispy outside while soft inside. Overall, the food was good and the Trivia was very fun. I would recommend this place especially during Trivia night, and 100% will be back for the fried pickles. read more

We dined at Margie's tonight for the first time. After hearing so many good things, I was so excited. We both got beef on weck; he got fries and I got onion rings. I quickly realized I should have gotten the smaller serving. I knew I was going to have to cut this in half to attack it. I also realized I was going to have to eat it with a fork. To my dismay - the beef was shredded and not sliced. I secondly noticed the beef was over cooked and relatively dry. My husband agreed with me. My husband also got a Rusty Chain - which was flat. The onion rings were really good and the fries were breaded I believe. Our server, Lauren was amazing. We have decided we will not come here for BOW again but we do want to give them another shot with a Frish Fry. Came here to check out the 50 cent wing nights on Wednesdays. Totally and 100% recommend the wings here. They were very large and cooked properly. They have about 10 different sauces and rubs to choose from including mango habanero! This time we got the regular hot.... Which wasn't too spicy. They were delicious! As usual, with wing nights expect that you will have to pay extra for the little things. Each blue cheese is extra, carrots and celery are extra, you have to buy a min of two drinks to get the wings deal, etc. But it's worth it in the end. This place is a neighborhood bar, nothing fancy about it, the bar area is full of regulars. The food menu looks great with reasonable pricing but there is something I have to mention because it is something that would unfortunately keep me from coming back. The bathrooms are located directly next to the tables in the dining room. Literally right next to a table. This is disgusting already, but you could smell urine throughout the entire room even sitting further away from it. It smelled like a kitty litter box. So bad that I actually got out of my seat twice to go close the bathroom door to try to get some nausea relief. If we come back, I will only stay and eat if we can get a seat at the bar area. read more

Nice little bar in Drpew/Lancaster serving up homemade food. We have only been here once and ended up going on wing Wednesday for 0.60 wings (only hot, med and mild are 0.60). There is a $1 upcharge for specialty sauces and dry rubs. We ordered hot honey garlic and lemon pepper dry rub wings. Wings were good, although I would've liked a little more lemon pepper seasoning. This place is amazing. Randomly showed up on FB feed, so we decided to give it a try. There were like 20 things I wanted to order. Decided to go with ribs. Thick, meaty, fall of the bone rack. They were amazing! Cole slaw was spot on too. Wife couldn't decide, so she gave the waitress the decision between BOW and Philly Cheesesteak. Came out with the cheesesteak and she loved it. Big fan of the French Onion soup too. Portions were great, comfortable atmosphere, prices were reasonable, and there is great variety on the menu and weekly specials. This is the second time I've had a fish fry from my little margies. I really like that you have the option of choosing a small, medium or large fish portion. We went with two mediums. The fish itself was very large and meaty. Very good quality and I enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't really care for in this dish was the French fries it came with were undercooked and the sides were really runny. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the fish and this little restaurant is absolutely worth checking out. Im looking forward to coming into the restaurant once we reopen! read more

Everyone has tried to keep me away from here but whyyyyyyyy? I'm not sure if most people are holding a grudge from years past but from what I understand it's a new owner (family but still new) and is much different than it used to be. I cannot talk about the past because this is my first time here but I know it will not be my last. We sat in the bar area because it was late so no one was in the restaurant part and we had a safe distance from others around even though it's a small area. The girl serving at the bar also took our order and she was awesome! She gave us some recommendations on what to order and even checked with the kitchen staff with some questions we had without an issue. She was very friendly and attentive to us while we were there. The food was so good, I tried the stuffed pepper quesadilla but the winner of the night was the fish fry! One of the best I've had and not very greasy which is why I do not normally order them but glad I tried it. It will probably be what I order the next time and I also like you can get a small, medium or large serving and the medium was a perfect size. The prices cannot be beat either! This casual restaurant has a lot of potential. It has a reasonably priced menu with some creative specials, a hard working staff and a good location. Now that some of the dining restrictions have been lifted, business was booming around 6pm on Friday night, however I only saw 1 server and 1 bartender working. We were initially seated right near the door which we immediately asked to be moved to avoid the bar crowd and the draft from the door opening up constantly. We ordered a full fish fry, a fish sandwich, a roast beef on Kaiser and a banana pepper chicken quesadilla (my choice) and 4 sodas. After about 30 minutes we received our dinners in hearty portions. The fish was crispy (if not a bit overdone) the salads and coleslaw were well received. The roast beef was a bit dry but my quesadilla was crispy, cheesy, and just the right amount of heat. Server was accurate but way too busy to be attentive to any one table. Decor needs some major renovation. Maybe if money comes in at any point, they might wanna explore making their dining room larger . It was a decent meal though, I would consider takeout in the future, that may be a better fit for my dining needs. read more

I kept seeing the advertisement on Facebook about 50cent wings, dine in only, 2 drink minimum, so we decided to go there my sons' treat. We ordered 30 wings, 10 per person, I had Thai chili, my son had parmesan, gf had bbq, also ordered was 2 apple cider mimosas, 2 colas and 2 beers, there was an extra $3.00 for the wing sauce, 75 cents for the celery and 6 small Blue cheese @ 4.50, the blue cheese was cut with something to the point it didn't taste like blue cheese, my son who is a cook said it was sour cream, the wings were meh, and we all decided that we would have rather paid the regular price for the wings and get all the condiments with it!, So the bottom line the wings weren't actually.50cents, we also ordered fries they were good and crispier than the wings!, The mimosas were also good @6.00 each, the service was good, but a return visit is a NO for me and them read more

Before I begin, I want to point out that the name of this establishment is now Margie's Bar & Grill, after having re-opened by Margie's daughter. We ordered a take out fish fry recently, and the fish itself was fabulous. My wife and I were able to split a single large fish fry. The french fries were nicely done traditional fries. We were a little disappointed in the other sides, which were all on the runny side. The current ownership has nicely remodeled the bar as well. Been meaning to try this place since they reopened but never got around to it! Called ahead for takeout tonight and had a very delicious fish fry with fresh sides and crispy french fries. The large was big enough for 5he two of us and we shared an order of fish tacos that were tasty! Will definitely order from them again and go back when restaurants can reopen to dining in! Call early because they are really busy, I called at 4 pm and got a 6:45 pick up time! It was worth waiting for! Next time I'll try to call earlier. read more

We have always had good food & service at Margie's , but tonite was horrible. we waited 45 min for a order of wings then we were told they gave our order to another table, ok mistakes happen . But DON'T U Think our order should have a priority after that ?????? I believe it is now just called Margies Called a pickup order ( corona virus) for a large fish fry and the fish tacos both were perfect! I am usually hesitant to get fish fry as take out they usually end up soggy from being closed in the styrofoam container but it was perfect, got it home and it was hot very crispy and crunchy. The fish was flaky and delicious, the fries were crispy and tasty the sides were also great! It's fish fry season, and this is a great place to choose. Three sizes of fish and plenty of sides included. I was not a huge fan of potato salad, but that's just because my mom's is the best..lol. The rest of the side were really great. I ordered the large fish, which is like one and a half of most places. It was huge. It was one of the best fish fry I ever had. My friend & I had looked at the menu on Yelp. We went on a Sunday & we're given an abbreviated menu. We questioned the waiter & he asked us what we had planned on having. We both said the French Onion chicken. He said we do an abbreviated menu on Sunday, but we can make that for you. So we both ordered it!!! It was absolutely delicious!!! I wish I had gotten this man's name. He really made our day!!! He was very courteous & went out of his way to provide the meal that we were looking forward to!!! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The service was excellent & the food was amazing!!! We will definitely be back & will be telling our friends about our awesome experience here!!! Alright so wing night you can't beat a double wing for 14.00. But what you can beat was the poor customer service from the bartender. Forgot items that were ordered like sauces and blue cheese , and then after requesting them again the blue cheese tasted like some sort of yogurt sour cream mix. When the issue was addressed the owner smelled it and just handed it back at the same time the employee standing there said yeah we've been having complaints all night. as an owner fix the issue instead of making me pay for some weird sour cream mix . this is buffalo we need blue cheese. along with her poor customer service i would have gotten my "sour cream blue cheese " along time ago if she would have asked if we needed anything else's instead of just putting the plates down and running away. or even a come by and ask how everything is tasting at least once. the door man handing out samples was more pleasant and as a server myself i would never expect a single person to be satisfied with the service provided today. but wings were crispy id go a different day when someone else is running the joint. thanks read more
