Parking and Main Street is extremely difficult due to the popularity of these places so we parked down behind the store in a large community parking lot and walked up through the alley to the front door. We noticed immediately there was a huge overflow crowd. waiting to get into the Bar Bill, but we fought our way through to get into 189 Burger. If only those people out on the street knew what they were missing, they would give up their spot in line and join us at this great little restaurant instead! 189 Burger is well known for its expansive beer menu, but we were only interested in the burgers. I was intrigued by the description of the Bang Bang Burger. It came topped with Bang Bang sauce, cheddar cheese and Calabrian butter and crispy onions. Absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the Greek burger, a masterpiece with Tzatziki , lemon ginger, jalapeño, red pepper, chickpea pesto, and pickled red onions, seeded bun! Scrumptious!

Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, career promotions, retirement, are all excellent reasons to treat yourself to a meal at Rick's. In the summer months, there's nothing quite like sitting on the outdoor patio overseeing all the activities on Main Street in East Aurora. You get a great glimpse of the Vidler on the roof with his benevolent smile and upraised hand waving at all the traffic. Situated in a grand house, Rick's has dining rooms on two floors in addition to the front porch and the bar area. My top entree choices will always be the Ribeye, Cowboy steak, and anything that features scallops. Treat yourself real soon!

Which may…read moreexplain why a restaurant as expensive as this actually had salt and pepper on the table -- which is rare. Seasoning food after the fact is fine, but never as good as during the preparation. My seabass was tasteless and was sat on top of a mediocre risotto...which is saying something since it was a Gouda and red pepper risotto. Also unseasoned overcooked green beans on the side. Criminal at the price. My husband's giant steak was also under-seasoned as were the sad mashed potatoes and carrots that came along with it. The steak was good quality, cooked fine, but could have been exceptional if it had any flavor beyond being a good piece of meat. The Thai shrimp appetizer was good but if you put Thai chili sauce on anything it will taste good. The scallop was decent but again not really seared well and lacking flavor even with the balsamic drizzle. Would not come back to waste hundreds of dollars on overpriced unseasoned food again. I will say the service was good and the staff were lovely. Too bad the food is mid. Drive to a real restaurant that cares about their food prep like Prescotts provisions or Oliver's or Black Iron bystro. Skip Rick's.

The uneven wooden floors, and the rough beams throughout the dining rooms is absolutely charming. Today we were seated on the outdoor porch to enjoy the spectacular weather! We ordered a small c&p pizza for our small boys, and a basket of calamari for them to share. Let's just say they're not quite ready for calamari, but the pizza they deemed to be quite delicious. My husband loves their broiled Cajun fish, fry so he ordered it again today. He got the baked sweet potato and mentioned how delicious it was. I went with the Greek Chicken Salad, a sheer delight with Greek dressing as well as tzatziki. The salad itself was built on a base of fresh mixed spring lettuces topped with pickled banana peppers, fresh grape tomatoes, sweet purple onions, sliced cucumbers. The grilled chicken cutlet was cut julienne and was strewn on top. Everything that I love in a salad. The plate was also garnished with a stack of baked flatbread triangles, which were nice and crisp! Two bartenders were waiting on the entire floor, and we noticed that they were busting their running back-and-forth. We applaud their dedication!

It was good but I'm a Chicagoan so I have to say I prefer the Italian beef sandwiches over this. Beef on weck is more of a sliced beef served on a salted kimmelweck roll which has salt and caraway seeds and prepared horseradish on the side. Yes it was good and I'd probably get it again but if you grew up around here, it's a local fave. The place is like old rustic and had a nice vibe to it. Great service too!

They had a nice kick. My husband had chicken parmesan and I had chicken piccata. Each came with soup or salad. Servings were generous. She kept checking in and making sure we didn't need anything. I love seeing old buildings repurposed.

Not going to lie, it's nearly impossible to sit through a lacrosse game while smelling burgers from this place the entire time. We came by on a Sunday and took advantage of their kids' meal special: $5 including a drink, which is a really solid deal. We ordered burgers (split with my fellow burger lover) and chicken fingers for two of the kids, and the food definitely hit the spot after a long day when everyone was starving. The burgers were decent, though I would have loved slightly larger patties and a few more topping option. I'm all about an over-the-top handheld, so maybe that's just me. My only real disappointment was the fry portion size; I must have been spoiled on my first visit when my meal came with an overload of fries. One of my favorite features is the patio, especially during nicer weather. Service was good, and I appreciated the little outdoor station stocked with condiments and water, which was a thoughtful touch for patio diners. Overall, it's a convenient spot to grab a casual meal before or after games, especially if you're already at the rink.

Undercooked - couldn't pick up a slice without it falling apart. It was okay flavor, would describe as a saucy, not-sweet sauce pizza.
