AKA....Foodapalooza!…read more This would have been a 5 star review had the guys from Grill 'Em All showed up on time. But they didn't, in fact, they showed up about an hour late and took another 45 minutes to prep. So this totally clogged up the Grilled Cheese truck. Luckily, the line at the Nom Nom truck was short enough and my GF was able to order a Pork Banh Mi. The banh mi was great. It was my GF's first time and she fell in love. She had this look in her eye, it was special. There was another burger truck, a cupcake truck and an ice cream truck also on the premises. But it seemed that everyone was here for the Grilled Cheese truck and Grill 'Em All. There was also a jazz band that played beautifully. I think if I wasn't in a hunger daze, I probably would have turned around to find out the name of the band. I'm sorry, I was here for Grill 'Em All. Once the Grill 'Em All truck finally opened, I was disappointed to find out that H-100's and Truffle Oil weren't available. I was so looking forward to the H-100's. So what did I do? I ordered a Behemoth (burger, bacon, and grilled peppers between TWO grilled cheese sandwiches) and a side of Pommes Frites. Watchu know about the Behemoth...

Different trucks every week. 1st week was Grill em' all, Grilled Cheese, Nom Nom, King Kone, and a couple other dessert ones. 2nd week was TapaBoyLA, Ta_Bom, MightyBoba, JoseOMalleys, & NaanStop. Shorter Lines, great variety, lots of grass to sit on, lots of fun Still hard to swallow the prices for these food trucks personally though.

We had about 300 guests and brought out two trucks to ensure quick service. It was the right call -- the lines moved fast, no one was stuck waiting, and the entire flow felt organized and seamless. For an event where timing and guest experience really matter, that level of efficiency was huge. The food was outstanding across the board. The steak tacos were a crowd favorite -- perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The potato tacos were incredible and didn't feel like a "secondary" option at all. The quesadillas were fresh, melty, and made to order. Everything tasted vibrant and high quality. What impressed us most was how professional and prepared the team was. They showed up early, set up quickly, and handled the volume with confidence. The trucks looked clean, modern, and added to the atmosphere of the event. If you're looking for large group food truck catering in Southern California -- whether it's vendor appreciation, corporate hospitality, or a client event -- The Lime Truck has the capacity and operational strength to execute without stress. We trusted them with an important partner, and they made us look great.

There were patient, friendly, and got all of us our orders as soon as they could(There were quite a few of us...close to 50 ppl). It was a work event, so I don't know what they charge for the items (We were just allowed to order from the menu), but just from a taste-perspective, it was pretty darn good. I tried just about everything they had on our list... Potato tacos, Brussels sprouts Steak quesadilla Seared ahi taco The items were small, but I ordered more than once. I would DEF get it if it was in the hood.

I've always admired how CPP has their own food truck on campus. It just makes getting lunch a lot more convenient and accessible. If I don't have time to stop by the food court, I would usually head to the Trolley to pick up a quick snack. They offer sliders, quesadillas, fries, tacos and as well as few breakfast options. But what I love the most here are their tacos! Their BBQ pork sliders are my go to meal. I can't seem to recall the exact price but I believe it was under $1.75 a taco. It's a fairly good portion for a decent price. The pork is tossed in a sweet bbq sauce and placed onto mini flour tortillas. After that, coleslaw is added on top of the pork which is topped off with a orange creamy sauce and green onions. It's the right balance of sweet and savory all in one tacos. The coleslaw balances out the richness of the pork. It honestly the best snack on the go. Great pit stop to refuel yourself if you're ever in a rush. Just make sure to head there before everyone gets out of class. The line can get long sometimes.

Aside from the high prices, Poly Trolley offers great food made to order. As someone who doesn't…read moreeat meat, I was delighted to find options for me to eat. I've eaten at the truck several times and tend to get either the avocado tempura tacos, Soyrizo poly bowl, or california avocado burrito. The tacos are made really well and I love the contrasting crispy-creamy texture the tempura battered avocados have. The poly bowl reminds me of elotes because of the dressing and cheese they spread over the fries, and once again, the avocado adds a nice creaminess to offset the crispness of the french fries. Finally, burrito offers a ton of flavor with the tots as well as the slaw, but the price can be a little off-putting at times - it costs $8.50 for the thing! The service is okay too; kind of slow, but hospitable and kind. Overall, I enjoy dropping by between classes and really enjoy the food here, go give the joint a try when you can! ...and make sure you have a nice beefy wallet while you're at it ;)

Pastrami, mustard, pickles, cherry tomatoes and slaw. Really good. The fries were great. They never got soggy. They stayed crispy on the outside and were sturdy enough to hold the toppings. Pastrami wasn't too salty and the slaw was sweet and crispy. Very balanced flavors. This was definitely NOT a side order. It was entree sized. I would try other items of they came back.

Tried Pirates Bistro's food truck this evening at one of my favorite local breweries, Alosta…read moreBrewery in Covina (this brewery has a featured food truck/ food vendor a few times a week. Check out their website calendar). When I came by Alosta Brewery, Pirates Bistro had the truck out front but the did not appear to be open. No menu, no window open, just the driver door open but no one there to take orders (that is disappointing because all of the other food vendors my husband and I tried at this brewery has always been open early and ready for business). Anyways, I came back to check on this truck and waited in line to make my order. There was only 4 items to choose from and so I decided to get the following: BBQ Chicken Tots, $10 (includes tax)- For this menu item, you can choose to have this item served over tater tots or fries. But you can also choose to have it served on a brioche slider bun. I opted for tater tots because they are fun. The menu board describes the chicken to be "slow braised". Unfortunately I thought the shredded chicken was pretty disappointing. It was mushy and did not have much flavor. It made me thing of chicken from a can. The slaw on top was good but not great. The tarter tots could have been cooked a bit more (didn't have that crunch factor and would have liked it to be warmer). Also I was not a fan of the shredded cheddar cheese. I would have preferred the cheese to be melted. The portion of this menu item was a little on the small side for the price. Would not order this again. Pastrami Fries $10 (includes tax)- I ordered this menu item for my husband on a bed of fries (your choice of fries or tarter tots, but no bun like the BBQ Chicken menu item). The slaw was refreshing and had a nice crunch factor (but wasn't the best slaw that I have ever had). I thought it was nice to have the pickles. Just like menu item, I would have preferred for the fries to be cooked through more. The fries were not crunchy and mostly soggy (probably because of the sauce and being placed under everything). Also the fries were not warm and it was disappointing to see unmelted shredded cheddar cheese. The pastrami wasn't anything special. This was a pretty disappointing menu item like my BBQ chicken. --------------------------------------- (Total= $20, this food truck is currently CASH ONLY) Wait time for the food to be delivered to our table took a while (but that seems to be a typical thing of food trucks). I felt that the food was overly priced and pretty disappointed with what we had. I was really hoping that it would taste good but I just had too high of hopes for it. I have definitely had better (heck, I could make it better at home). I am not a fan of giving low reviews, but just want to be honest. I would not eat from Pirate Bistro again and would bring my own food if they are back at Alosta Brewery.
