I stopped by here recently to get a coffee when I was on my way to work. It was on my list to try. The inside is very minimal and nice. There's some tables where you can sit and study. I ordered something simple, a vanilla latte with oat milk. I saw that they had some pastries and opted to try the almond croissant. The vanilla latte had a strong coffee taste, which I enjoyed. The almond croissant was flaky. It didn't have much filling, but it had a nice taste. I want to try their matcha and matcha pastry next. The customer service was good. I'm looking forward to future visits. read more

it was a nice spot, very cramped but i get it since it is a very small building and they do there best with the space they have. My coffee was good (the biscoff latte) and i would definitely order again. i would love to come back and study here maybe at a less busy time of day ! read more

This place is so cute! So many tables and chairs and definitely a place you can work. They have a cute patio section outside too. Love when a coffee shop has a bunch of specialty lattes to choose from! I got the Biscoff Latte with Soy milk. They do not have almond milk so just keep that in mind. Delicious! read more

I was looking for a place to get some work done and I stumbled across this place. It's a cute little coffee shop nestled in a shopping plaza. There is a decent amount of seating and a good amount of outlets for anyone looking to study or do some work. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so I got myself a strawberry banana smoothie and it was so delicious and refreshing. It didn't have any artificial taste which was great. My boyfriend got a white chocolate mocha latte and he enjoyed it as well (plus look at the cute tray it came in)! The employees were so nice and accommodating as well. For food, we got a jalapeño cream cheese croissant and a Nutella croissant. Both were very good, especially the jalapeño croissant. The cream cheese had pieces of jalapeño in it which I really enjoyed. Don't skip out on this place if you are looking for a place with good drinks, food, and a great atmosphere! read more

Seating is widely available although it can fill up quickly. The parking is easy as well and the service is very nice. I would recommend the biscoff latte. The blueberry latte was too syrup-y for my liking. There's a check in for 10%! read more

So there are 3 Starbucks within a 2 mile radius of my college, including one on campus, but even convenience won't make me go there. I yelped it and Margin cafe was the second one that came up. And 4 miles later and I'm here. I saw the Rose Petal Latte and I'm a sucker for rose lattes. I got mine with oat milk and I love the amount of coffee to ice ratio (I don't like ice though). This is a fantastic drink. Love it and would highly recommend. The shop was decorated simply and clean and love the plants on the wall. It was calm and peaceful to be in with the music and cool air. Came here on afternoon, like 2-2.30pm and most bakery goods were gone. The matchamisu sounded good too, but they were all sold out. :( We ended up getting bearclaw, and it's a different bearclaw experience. It's more like asian bread, not fried donut dough. Pretty light, great pairing for drink. Recommend getting it toasted. Drinks are pretty good. We got coffee & mango smoothie. The barista look like they know what they're doing. Flat white isn't on the menu, but you can request it & they can make it for you. Lots of seats, music is cozy, & parking is great. Staffs are nice & there are even space to paint on canvas. I am impressed, quality service, uniqueness, and price wise. HIGH PROFIT MARGIN as a consumer here in terms of experience. As an avid coffee shop goer that doesn't happen as often. On a mission to try every small coffee shop this is one of the top shops. It must be new otherwise it would have more reviews, with a very deserving 5 stars. Watch out cause I am just saying Cal Poly Pomona and Fullerton students gotta make the drive, its worth it! Pricing wise everything is cheaper without jeopardizing quality because everything is under 6 bucks a drink, which I can appreciate! The hot MATCHA Latte was so unique. I drink one unsweetened every morning at my coffee shop ( so I am a critic) but this one was so different and earthy. I will order again. Additionally the BISCOF latte with oat milk, iced was the perfect proportion of everything good in a latte. With coffee on the earthy and nutty side which is rare now a days as more places emphasizes the fruity acidic coffees ( which I don't like) as well as a touch of sweetness where you taste the slight sugar cookie flavor, it was delicioso. Also not too many specialty lattes options but unique and interesting flavors I wanna try them all! Aesthetic is conducive for STUDYING with WIFI, and very cute ceramic, wood and glass, serving options. One of my top shops worth the drive definitely NOT MARGINAL. read more

Looks like I found one of the best coffee shops in the neighborhood. Latte 10 out of 10. Croissant was delicious, seemed a little stiff, but maybe that's the way it's meant to be. It's ~$11 for two lattes. And ~$12 for two croissants. Feel free to go and enjoy your coffee! read more

Margin Cafe recently opened and took over the previous Matcha Tea Bar location (I'm still so sad it's gone!). I stopped in for some caffeine and saw that most of the tables there were occupied with people working. There are three easels with canvases for those who want to paint and sip, although I think it's independent painting, not instructor led like the wine & paint events that other places offer. As I'm not a great painter unless I can follow someone, it's something I don't see myself doing here. Pros: *Creative drinks - unique flavors and pourover coffees too! I got the Biscoff Latte with Soy milk and it was excellent. *Yummy pastries - made in house and delicious! I tried the blueberry cheese croissant and it was great. They sell slices of their Raffaello cake, inspired by the Raffaello candy, that is super scrumptious! It's made with coconut and almond flavors like the candy. The cake itself is moist and the frosting isn't too sweet. I would buy a whole cake if they sell it like that (I should ask....). *Friendly staff - the lady who helped me was super nice. *Pet friendly - they have a jar of dog biscuits that you can give your furry friend for a treat. Cons: *Menu - The drink menus are small in size and typed in faint small font so it's pretty hard for old people like me (who need reading glasses) to read. *Logo - I notice these kinds of things because my hubby is a graphic designer, but their logo isn't great. The sticker on the cup looks like it says "Cafe Argin" with the "M" looking a whole lot like the Magnolia Network logo by Chip & Joanne Gaines. They need to consider redesigning it. They offer milk alternatives at no additional cost: soy, macadamia, and oat. But no almond milk. I will definitely be back to try more item menus. They have some fruit ades that are calling my name. Been wanting to check out this cafe !! Interior is small but cute and good ambiance to study. I ordered the lychee tea which was super refreshing and didn't taste super syrupy / artificial like most places. Also loved the presentation of the drinks! My friends and I also tried the blueberry sponge cake they had, which was soft, moist & not too sweet. Everything was really yummy and the lady at the cashier was sweet. Would come back :) read more

My first review of 2023 and I'm so glad to be writing it for Margin! Why? Because this little gem is in the neck of my woods and they check off every box for me when it comes to a coffee shop! I have a very specific palette when it comes to caffeine. I prefer espresso-drinks over coffee and I tend to order and Americano with a splash of milk when I try new coffee shops. But I'm usually left feeling dissatisfied because it's either too acidic or the bean is not strong enough. Then I wish that I had made my own at home... Enter, Margin! A friend invited me along one morning and before hitting them up, I pulled up my trusty Yelp, and one of the reviews mentioned that they make Cortado's and I got so excited. Not a lot of coffee shops make Cortado's... it originated in Spain and it's 1:1 ratio of espresso and steamed milk. Service was friendly and even though it wasn't on the menu, the guy at the front knew exactly how to make it. I ordered it, took the first sip and fell in love!! A perfect balance of espresso and subtle sweetness from the steamed milk. It was a winner for sure. The shop itself was clean, modern, and to top it all off, they were playing LoFi, which made the ambiance so relaxing. Perfect for conversations or getting work done. My friends ordered the Biscoff Latte and Blueberry Latte, and they both enjoyed it. Will most definitely be back!! These guys know how to do it right :) read more

My grandma and I love trying new coffee shops together in the area. This one looked really good, so we stopped by. I had the cookie butter latte and almond croissant. Didn't discover this place until a few of my friends recommended it to me. The cafe is very clean and inviting. If you need a spot to do some work and get coffee, this is certainly the spot. Coffee is great! I usually do a brown sugar latte iced with oat milk and a addshot. Good flavors and well prepared. The biscoff cheesecake is a great option too for something to eat otherwise they have a nice assortment of baked goods as well. Finally, the owners are great people. Very kind and always welcoming. I don't think I would come back. Sad to give this place 2 stars because of how good the reviews look on Yelp. I ordered their blueberry latte, biscoff latte and matcha latte. There was no blueberry flavor and biscoff wasn't good. Their matcha latte was delicious though! It was the perfect amount of matcha! We also got their almond croissants which was my personal favorite. Can't go wrong with almond croissants! Parking was easy and service was good. So many delicious sounding drink options, but decided to try their iced biscoff latte, and was not disappointed! Great balance of espresso flavor and subtle taste of biscoff (some bits inside). Outside needs more decor. Inside is nice but can use more decor work. There is naked Christmas tree, painting easel haphazardly located. Not sure the reason For it. The food is mediocre unless warmed. The coffee is strong and reasonable priced!!! Americano hit the spot for being $3.50. They even serve in for here mug and plates with cute condiment set ups. Service attentive and fast when not busy. Definitely sign for loyalty program via Toast. You can get discounts. Restroom there is lock that you have to touch to lock (the sliding kind) that looked grimy. I wish the light also automatically comes on vs. having to touch switch. If review just for coffee it's 5 stars. Food 3.5 and facility a 3. That averages to 4 + stars! read more

#8 in my SOCAL COFFEE SHOP SERIES A new coffee shop just opened up in Diamond Bar! They are currently having their soft opening and already are booming with business. If you're looking for a quaint, minimalistic type of vibe, this is the place. It felt so warm, inviting, and relaxing with these large windows for great lighting. Definitely the place to go if you're trying to get some work done or study. The owners there are super friendly and love giving recommendations. They have all the classic coffee drinks (latte, cold brew, tea, etc.) and some speciality items + pastries. I decided to get the biscoff latte ($6) and it was tasty! Perfect amount of espresso and minimal amount of sweetness which I liked. I would definitely come back here :) Not the best coffee shop ever, but nothing to complain about. Tried two of their specialty lattes. Biscoff and banana. Both of which had some purée at the bottom. You really need to mix it to get the flavor but overall they were both good. I preferred the biscoff the most, the banana tasted a bit artificial to me but my friend liked it a lot more. Located in the Albertsons lot. Plenty of parking. The shop was very clean and staff were nice. Lots of seating too and would probably recommend coming here to do some work since they have tables. read more

To stand out as a coffee shop in DB is not easy, and I'm glad Margin cafe is trying! The big thing for me is if the coffee shop offers something different on the menu and they do! The blueberry latte was delicious but honestly I'd ask for less sweet next time. I'll definitely give other menu items a try! Esp not a lot of cafe offers affogato! Wish they had a different food menu tho! The paint idea is nice and maybe one day I'd give it a try with my son or for some party type of situation. Parking is rather easy in that Albertsons plaza. While the presentation was nice, I was a bit disappointed that I mainly tasted milk and the matcha was more powdery than liquid. I ordered an iced matcha latte for my daughter over the phone, told them to hold the ice since she wouldn't be drinking it until much later. I said it was fine to leave room for ice so that we wouldn't be messing with the flavor or the recipe. The order was simple: iced matcha latte with oat milk, half sweetened with honey. I asked if it were possible to get the honey in a small container on the side because my daughter doesn't like anything super sweet and was told it couldn't be done. "Okay, that's fine, as long as it's half sweet." When I picked it up, I confirmed in person that it was oat milk and *HALF* sweet. The person quickly said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah," to all of it as he rang me up. When I gave it to my daughter later, she filled it up with ice and tried it. She said it was not half sweet at all and that it wasn't even written on the cup's instructions. She also said it barely tasted of matcha. It was just milk and sugar. I've always been a coffee lover and I had to get at least a cup of coffee a day to start my day. But other than my love for coffee, I love art too. It has always been my habit to take a break from whatever was stressing me and take a moment for myself by painting on canvas. I realize that when I'm painting, I forget about all the stresses and worries. I've introduced this method to a few people and they've felt the same way too. It's also a fun activity to do with your friends or family and I had an idea suddenly -"what if you merge the two?" The best of both worlds! Committed to serving the best, we've tried over 50 single origins and blended coffee to search for the best espresso and pour-overs to feature in our store, our Matcha is also directly shipped from a matcha farm in Japan, and our hot tea selections are exclusively supplied by TWG offering some of the finest tea of the world.

Parking is easy. The lot is spacious and big. However, this business has awful visibility; it's very easy for new guests to overlook it. But like a strongly guarded secret, this business is POPULAR. Staff is efficient and amicable. Staff is polite and knowledgeable, but Staff is also curt and very focused on crafting their coffee. My coffee took four minutes and 26 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Madagascar Vanilla Caffe Latte ($7 - Large - Iced). When thoroughly stirred, the coffee's true flavor blossoms. The potency becomes balanced, and the taste of vanilla & roasted coffee lithely intertwine. The aftertaste is reminiscent of a smoky caramel. There's utility and personality in this freshly brewed coffee. It's easy to understand why this spot is so popular. On ambiance, Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar) is a study/work paradise. Unlike the tiny outside, the interior is unexpectedly spacious. There's about six electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details are in small text on the counter's menu. The location also has about four tables, one long wooden table, and five mini portable tables. In addition, Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar) is clean, well-maintained, and well-ventilated. There's a gender neutral restroom in the back, and the music is chill & calm. The location is filled with working college students whispering about Harvard and preparing for the future. Overall, I found unexpected joy at Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar). The coffee is affordable, good quality, and functional. The location is comfortable and calm. If searching for a wonderful study/work spot, this is a very easy recommendation. 4.8 out of 5!
