Margin Cafe is truly a hidden gem. As a Singaporean, I'm delighted to discover that the owner(s) are also Singaporean. It's fantastic to have access to Singapore's famous TWG tea here in the States (I don't know anywhere else that sells the tea here). I got the TWG Bain de Roses Tea -- love that they serve their tea loose leaf, and in such adorable little cups as well. It's such great value for money and makes drinking tea all the more enjoyable! The owners are incredibly friendly, and the place is spacious, well-lit, clean, yet cozy. It's perfect for either working remotely or catching up with a friend! A huge bonus is that parking isn't an issue either. I'll definitely come back again to try the blueberry latte, some of the delicious looking pastries/desserts, and get some work done. They even have a paint station for people to unleash their creativity, and you can also book half of the cafe space (including paint station) for special events like birthday celebrations! read more

Came here to do work on a weekday. Not sure about other days, but it wasn't too busy when we went! Although it is a small space so if it does get busy, it might be difficult to find seating if you were to stay a while. If you are looking for outlets, they are quite limited to just the tables against the wall. The coffee and pastries were great (I recommend the nutella croissant if you have a sweet tooth)! What made it a great experience was that we were greeted and helped by the loveliest people ever (I'm guessing they're the owners?), was very attentive to what we needed from the start, and also was patient with our indecisiveness. Ms. Bobalicious meeting West Coast Yelpers As I arrived before Justin L., I decided to walk-in first to grab a table. First thing that hits me is how quiet the cafe is with people who are on their laptops. There was no music playing in the background. The space is small with 6-7 tables close together. I felt like I was in a library...shhhh. I run back outside to wait. As I greet him the first thing I say is...omg, it's really quiet in there. I hinted that maybe we should sit outside but the thought of Justin seeing me sweating profusely under the hot sun made me say, ah what the heck, let's just sit inside. Before meeting we already discussed what we would be ordering. We both decided on the Biscoff Latte. I had a Tates Cookie Latte elsewhere before and loved it. I was hoping this one would be similar. My verdict as I take my first sip? It makes for a nice latte with the coffee flavor coming through but I don't detect any cinnamon, nutmeg or ginger. Would have been nice if they had crumbled some of the Biscoff on top of this drink. I should have ordered a Blueberry Latte instead. Justin also ordered an almond croissant for himself and he said it was really good. I was surprised to see that the pastry case was pretty bare. I hope this is not the case on most days. Even though the coffee was just okay for me here, the highlight was meeting Justin L. It was awesome getting to know him on a more personal level. A neat cafe where you can paint with acrylics while sipping on lattes! Margin Cafe is located in a shopping center near Diamond Bar Boulevard and Grand Avenue. Parking was ample on a Saturday afternoon, I was able to get a spot up front. Pamela L. AKA Ms. Bobalicious was in town, visiting all the way from New Jersey! We decided to meet here since we both haven't been before. It was pretty quiet inside, with patrons busy working and/or studying. I don't remember hearing background music. They do have an outdoor patio with additional tables, but it was like 98 degrees that day and there's no shade. Wasn't very ideal for talking and socializing at the beginning, but it got a little louder when more people started trickling in. There are a couple of easels on the left side of the room. It's $38 for one art canvas, a paintbrush set, unlimited access to their acrylic paint selection for two hours, one drink, and a complimentary refill. $68 if you want to paint as a duo and $10 for every additional hour. On the menu you'll find various coffees, teas, frappes, smoothies, fruit drinks, and specialty lattes. They also have a few baked goods available. 10% off your order when you check-in on the app, which I found out after I left unfortunately. Kudos for offering dairy alternatives at no extra charge. Thank you Pamela for the drink and pastry! The almond croissant was generously adorned with almonds and powdered sugar, but was not overwhelming. Very buttery and flakey. We both tried their Biscoff Latte, which seems to be a popular choice. It's my favorite in-flight snack and I had high hopes for it, but the flavor didn't really resemble it. I was expecting something cinnamon-y and aromatic. The drink kind of just had an overall caramel taste to me. Still creamy and refreshing. I don't usually venture around this area so I probably won't return. But painting does look fun! I also don't usually see many Yelpers IRL, so I'm grateful I got to meet Pamela and spend an hour chatting! I ordered an iced matcha latte for my daughter over the phone, told them to hold the ice since she wouldn't be drinking it until much later. I said it was fine to leave room for ice so that we wouldn't be messing with the flavor or the recipe. The order was simple: iced matcha latte with oat milk, half sweetened with honey. I asked if it were possible to get the honey in a small container on the side because my daughter doesn't like anything super sweet and was told it couldn't be done. "Okay, that's fine, as long as it's half sweet." When I picked it up, I confirmed in person that it was oat milk and *HALF* sweet. The person quickly said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah," to all of it as he rang me up. When I gave it to my daughter later, she filled it up with ice and tried it. She said it was not half sweet at all and that it wasn't even written on the cup's instructions. She also said it barely tasted of matcha. It was just milk and sugar. Such a cute coffee shop!! My friend and I came here to study two days in a row and then the following weekend lol. The vibe is immaculate and the aesthetic is part of what makes me wanna keep coming back. There are plenty of tables and outlets. They also have a section set for painting! How cute!! Free wifi as well, making this the perfect setting for studying, a date, or catching up with friends. The service is also great, the hosts are always happy to answer questions. They heat up your pastries and you see the make the coffee fresh! I've tried their Biscoff Latte, Blueberry latte, and Cold brew so far. Of these I really like the biscoff latte. I haven't tried many of their pastries yet but definitely will give them a try when I come back. Plenty of parking in the plaza out front. Highly recommend this cute coffee shop. It's located in a plaza so there is plenty of parking. The coffee is smooth and aromatic. My favorite drink is their Iced Banana Latte with Oat milk. It's just the perfect amount of sweetness. I also appreciate that they do not overload the drinks with a lot of ice so I never have to ask them to adjust it. What's more is they are more reasonably priced than other coffee shops. The shop is run by a nice husband and wife team who are always so welcoming. Wow so I think I just found a hidden gem !! I'm on a mission to visit as many coffee shops in SoCal that are not Starbucks and this definitely made my top 10 list! So the interior of this place is super minimalist but cute, tons of sitting inside but right now the outside has caution tape. I did see some painting set ups so I thinking they have painting classes through out the week which is so unique! They are dog friendly they have a dog bowl and dog treats for your furry babies. The customer service is great the guy helping us was kind. I knew this place was going to be good when I saw they were using my favorite oat milk (Califia farms) Let's talk about the coffee !! The banana latte with oat milk is a super unique concept, the taste of banana was faint I think next time an extra dash of flavor would make this latter perfect! The blueberry latte was one of the best ones I have ever had. I don't think they use syrups perhaps actual blueberries because it tastes super fresh not artificial. Came in today around 4pm not really knowing what to order. Miguel was awesome and spent the time explaining their seasonal drinks. I ended up ordering the Rose petal latte and it was AMAZING!!! This newly opened coffee shop is so cute and minimalistic. I also like how there are art easels inside so that customers can do artwork. I was curious to try out their coffee, so I decided to make a stop here one early morning before work. I ordered an iced latte with regular milk and boy, was it quite strong. I was in a pinch to find a coffee shop that was still open past 4:30pm on a Sunday and turns out, not many are in the Walnut/Diamond Bar area, but Margin Cafe was! I knew I was going to arrive close to closing time, so I decided to call for pick up on my way over as a way to confirm they hadn't started closing up yet. They asked me when my ETA was (8 minutes) and when I arrived, they started finishing up the latte; they said they didn't want to make it too early where it would get cold, which I greatly appreciated. As far as taste goes, it was fine! I will disclaimer that my standards might be a bit low (since I regularly pick up coffee from Starbucks/McDonalds/whatever's most convenient) and the drinks we got were pretty basic. 2 black Americanos, 1 Americano with light 2% milk, and a latte. Everyone said their drinks were good, although I only got a chance to try the Americano. For the most part, the flavor was light (like a light to medium roast) and not burnt - which has been an issue with the aforementioned convenience coffees. All that being said, the specialty drinks and espresso drinks I'm seeing from other Yelpers seem on-point, so I'll definitely be sure to stop by again to try them! One slight inconvenience/area of feedback that I don't discount them for is the seal on the cups. I was driving solo with 4 coffees in one of those cardboard quad cup holder things and any slight movement of the cups resulted in coffee spilling out. By the end of my 10 minute (very careful) drive, one of the bottoms of the coffee had almost completely soaked through. I appreciate that they didn't skimp on the volume, but I haven't had this happen to me in the past with similarly filled cups. read more

Margin Cafe recently opened in October of 2022. I remember when this location used to be a hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant, and then a boba/slushie establishment before Margin Cafe. I did not even realize that Margin Cafe existed and I have been in the DB area often these days. When searching Yelp, the other coffee shops came up in the results up top. Paper menus are on a clipboard near the register. Pour Over Organic Honduras Manos de Mujer $5.25 Mocha Java Blend $5.25 Baked goods are delivered every morning, but when we were there, the display case looked a bit empty at around 10:45 am on a Saturday. Many must have made purchases before then, but the pastries were being restocked as we were there till about 1:30 pm. There were a few tables to sit and/or study. The chairs were pretty comfortable, not plastic or metal. The Mocha Java Blend was delicious, with a splash of half & half. I do wish that there was a water dispenser or something, because I was getting dehydrated over the hours we were there. I could have walked to my car to grab a bottle of water, but was not expecting to be there for so long. They also sell bottles of water. It was also warmer on the inside, than the outside. There was a fan on, near the back of the cafe, but I do not think the a/c was on. Not sure how it's going to be once it starts to warm up... There is also a corner at the front of the cafe for art jamming sessions. The playlist was also on point and the perfect volume as well. The interior aesthetics are great - modern and clean, though there was one piece of wood near the register that did fall when we were there. There are also dog treats in a jar near the front of the register, along with a bowl of water for thirsty pets. There is a Yelp check-in 10% off your order, which I will try next time. Overall, a great alternative to Grid across the street, especially if you are looking for somewhere "comfortable" to sit and to enjoy your drinks or pastries. Great pour over and great service. Plenty of parking and very conveniently located at the corner of Grand and Diamond Bar Blvd, where the Albertsons is, near See's Candies. read more

Margin Cafe is Diamond Bar's newest addition to what's been surprisingly growing coffee scene in the city and definitely does not disappoint in quality or in value. I've quickly become a fan and have frequented more than I though since its recent opening. I've been a huge fan of specialty drinks such the blueberry latte or something more regular like the iced mocha - the drinks aren't too sweet and inclusion of milk in either drinks is well balanced. I also love how there is no additional charge for milk substitutes like oat and almond. The store also features a fair selection of pastries if you're hungry and also features a good amount of interior seating and outside seating if you want to hang out. The folks running this place are also very nice. Also very cool is the space also includes painting sessions with most materials included into the price of the sessions. I can't speak on their coffee as much as I'm not a coffee connoisseur but I enjoyed my blueberry latte :) I mostly go to coffee shops to do work outside of my house, so in this regard I felt margin cafe was a bit lacking as there are really only a few outlets and most of them are not set up near the tables. They have an area set up for painting which is cute, but I felt like some rearranging of tables could be done so that the outlets on that side could be used by others while they are doing work. Spotted this new cafe in Yelp and realized that a coffee shop replaced what was previously Machi Tea! I'm always on the lookout for coffee spots, so I came to give it a try. I got the salted vanilla brown sugar cold brew. It's basically cold brew with a flavored sea salt cream. Not super sweet, which is great! However, the cold brew was a bit on the acidic side. I liked it more when the cream melted into the coffee. My brother got the blueberry latte. I've heard of fruit and coffee combos but not this one. I had a couple sips and was not a fan, but my brother enjoyed it. I didn't quite enjoy the flavors together. Overall, the service was great. The owners were very sweet and helped answer questions!
