    Strawberry chispa
    Taylor S.

We visited around 4:30 on a Friday evening and we were able to get a table right away. I ordered the strawberry chispa (my first chispa!) and it was strong and good. The chips and salsa were all very good too. There were three different salsas to choose from. And then for my main I ordered the enchiladas Mexicanas. Delicious!!! When we left it was packed in there so I can definitely see having to wait.

I came here for dinner with some coworkers on a Thursday night. The inside is so vivid and colorful, it makes you feel like you've traveled to a beachy relaxed atmosphere. The service was outstanding here, the host and waiters were and stayed attentive throughout the night. I had the Enchiladas Soluna plate, and the coronarita which just hit the spot. It had been a long week and there is nothing like delicious food and a refreshing drink to cure it all. Wish I lived closer to go back and try more of t

Terrific service, super steady, an Alamo Heights stronghold good for non fussy Tex mex fix.

I was a bit nervous to go to Soluna Cocina Mexicana because we were going on a Saturday and they don't take reservations. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well they see their patrons and how much seating they actually have to accommodate everybody. We had a party at five and had no problem getting a table. Their margaritas are phenomenal definitely loaded! Our table ordered several appetizers so between the chips and the appetizers I went for a chicken tortilla soup. It was very flavorful and delicious, but had more of a posole broth. We ordered calamari for the table and it was not my favorite, but the nachos and chips were delicious.

A little overpriced but we had fast service and the food tasted great. This place is usually busy but seemed more busy because of the rodeo.

SLAPPPPPED, took my fiancé, Sia Sol Luna, to Soluna. How fun is that? if you don't think it's funX that says something about you. The waiter was dope, he was nice, didn't subtely flirt with my fiancé like 99% of waiters do, so props bro. props My fiancé has 3 enchilada plate thingy in the pics. idk what it was, but lets just say its the type of place where u can take any menu item and u just KNOW its a 10/10 place. Kinda boujie vibes, with undertones of authentic mexican-ness.

I often go to El Mirasol with a group of friends, and we decided to change things up and come to the sister restaurant Soluna. I really like the location because Broadway is such a great spot in SATX, but I will say that the parking is limited since it's shared with other businesses. The restaurant is set up differently than El Mirasol, and I find it's not quite as nice inside. The menu is fairly similar, and has many choices. I got nachos and a chispa. The chispa was delicious! They're always strong, so I only order one if I have to drive home. Be careful!!

So unbelievably delicious!!! The Ribeye tacos were amazing! The Margs were also amazing!! So good!! Service was also amazing!

First time visiting and I'm glad I did. I love the ambiance of the whole place inside and outside on the patio. The service was awesome. I wasn't here for the food just a quick drink and appetizer but I know I will definitely return for the food because every plate in passing smelled just as good as it looked. But my margaritas were definitely a 10/10

We came as a large group of nine without a reservation and were seated outdoors immediately. Our server took our drink orders initially without writing them down, but then came back with pen and paper in hand to do take it once again lol The complimentary chips and various salsas were nice. I preferred the green and the orange red salsa. I seem to always order the wrong dish and once again it happened this time as well... I have a dairy intolerance. The seafood salad on the menu sounded fabulous, but in reality it was underwhelming for a hefty $19.99 In the middle of the plate sat a scoop of mayo based seafood, not quite sure what little seafood was in the scoop, surrounded by greens that were drenched in dressing. Four basic crackers sat at the edge of the plate. The salad was quite soggy and unappealing. Others ordered enchiladas, combo plates, and fish. Located near a strip mall, parking was very limited and packed. Not sure I'd make the drive all the way back up - food was just ok and overpriced.

Called in order for pick up. When I called I also ordered 8oz green salsa. When she repeated my order back she said 8oz salsa, so I corrected her to make sure it was the green salsa. When I picked it up curbside I checked my order because I had a feeling and it was 8oz red salsa. I told the man it was suppose to be green. He was absolutely annoyed and just snatched it from me and walked inside without a word (I was curbside pick up). While he was I side I looked at my receipt and it did say verde on it. He comes back with the correct salsa and a bag under it (salsa not inside bag) and hands it to me without saying a word visibly annoyed. So I did tell him stop being rude to me for their mistake. I didn't even care there was a mistake, but I'm not going to just take the red salsa when I specifically asked for green. I've been here multiple times, I like the food, but it's hit or kiss of the staff is nice or not

Pair that with their handmade thick chips, and you're already winning. Then came the mini tacos: chicken, birria, and barbacoa. The chicken surprised me by being the standout, juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The birria followed right behind with that deep, rich flavor that makes you stop mid‑conversation. The margaritas? Smooth, refreshing, and sneaky enough that you don't realize how strong they are until you stand up. What sealed the deal was the service. The staff was kind, patient, and didn't rush me even though I lost track of time chatting on the phone. They even let me hang out until my Uber pulled up. I'm not a big fan of chorizo, but I do seek out unique variations of eggs benedict, and this one fit the bill, so I went for it. The flavor combination was perfect, and I wasn't overwhelmed with chorizo. If you like eggs benny, give this variation a try. You won't be sorry! The refried beans - I know it's silly to review beans, but these were a bit different than the normal ones we find in SA. They had a bit more texture, unlike the overly blended beans we're used to. Chef's Kiss goes out to these beans! The potatoes - we weren't sure what the seasoning was, but we think it was adobo. Whatever the seasoning is, it puts them over the top as far as breakfast potatoes are concerned. Good stuff! Just a couple of notes: We didn't get tortillas with our breakfast. It might have been an oversight, or our meals didn't come with them. Not sure. The service was great, but depending on the server you get, you might need to know some Spanish. I give them 5 solid stars for breakfast.

Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. This isn't your typical restaurant experience--the menu is creative, unique, and offers something different. You can tell a lot of thought goes into both the preparation and presentation of every plate. What really made the experience unforgettable, though, was the customer service. Shrimp cocktail was big, but we started fighting over the shrimp pieces. There was plenty of onion and tomato left over after the batttle. Pollo Asado was a great flavor and the chicken was juicy. Grilled squash that was on the side was good. Chicken enchiladas were good and had freshly sliced jalapeños, which is always a welcome detail. I wasn't able to taste the quesadilla but my daoughter said it was "really good". Fried Chicken sandwich had a great flavor and the bacon was actually pork belly if I'm not mistaken. Sadly there was more batter than chicken. The seasoned fries were delicious and crispy.

It was delicious! The concha was soft, buttery and flaky, with just the right sweetness. We took home the majority of it and it stayed nice and soft instead of turning hard like so many others. We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing. We definitely will be going back, and recommend Pan Fila to all of you.
