They were so tasty, I stopped eating the meat. My husband and I are not shy eaters and we still needed a to-go box. The staff was kind and young which is surprising these days. So that was disappointing as we were all there for her and all she was able to have was chips and salsa as she didn't want try anything else at that point and a margarita but the restaurant took care of it. It was when we got our entrees that I was reminded of why I originally lost interest in this place. My chicken and cheese enchilada meal was about as average as it gets. My husband and sons had the same impression of their meals. To be clear, there was nothing wrong with any of the food. At the same time, there was nothing special about it either. Another thing that didn't help the situation was when I asked for their spiciest salsa they brought me a tiny cup that contained maybe a couple tablespoons of it. I didn't realize until the bill came that they charge extra for it. Furthermore, it was barely hotter than their regular salsa. Had I known all that, I would never have bothered with the request. Now, I have no problem with garden variety Tex Mex as long as it's priced accordingly, but I expected more here due to their higher prices. Fortunately, there's a Tex Mex place on practically every street corner and Mi Dia isn't the only game in town.

I hadn't eaten all day, was really hungry, and the food tasted okay otherwise, so I decided not to complain and ate about 3/4 of the chicken. That's when my sister-in-law mentioned that her chicken wasn't hot either and described hers the exact same way: lukewarm. She said it had never been served like that the other times she'd ordered it. At that point we considered saying something, but since we'd already eaten part of our meals, we decided not to. Unfortunately, about 3.5- 4 hours after dinner, I started feeling very sick to my stomach and have now been sick for several hours. I can't say for certain that the meal caused it, but considering the temperature of the chicken, the timing definitely concerns me. It's too late tonight to check on my sister-in-law, but I'll be checking with her first thing in the morning since she ate the same entrée. The rest of the table wasn't overly impressed with their meals either, but the margarita was good.
