Well if you want your eyewear to be what you ordered DO NOT GO HERE!
I was adamant and told the staff repeatedly I did not want any coating on my lenses. The anti glare/scratch coatings lift/peel even with the suggested care. The staff kept trying to talk me into the coatings stating that they (the coatings) came with a 1 year warranty.
I generally keep my eyewear for 5 or 6 years as my RX doesn't really change. I was only replacing my old pair due to the fact that the anti glare coating was lifting (after 2 1/2 years) and everything looked cloudy.
I finally got them to agree to no coatings, or so I thought.
Here I am 3 years after purchasing my glasses and guess what, there is some form of coating that is peeling, it almost looks like crystals that are flaking off, making everything look cloudy!!!
So now I'm stuck buying NEW glasses, even thou my RX has not changed.
The second part of my complaint is that the staff kept trying to charge me for a specialist visit ($45.00.) They are a participating provider, and I am allowed 1 exam every 2 years for a $20.00 co-pay. It took several phone calls and visits showing them insurance policy to get my $25.00 back.
I have glasses that are 15 years old, and other than a few minor scratches, the lenses are perfectly clear. I will be wearing these until my new lenses come in.
So if you want to spend money unnecessary, go to Envision. I'm currently looking at having to lay out $500.00 for new glasses ( I wear no line bifocals, with a very acute astigmatism) so eyewear is very expensive for my RX.
I am really not happy about this. read more
