A local diner in every sense A new breakfast spot in driving distance? Yes, I'll make the trek. Spot is in a strip mall with a bunch of lunch and dinner spots. So it makes sense to build a diner here. Space is clean and inviting. Servers were really nice and kept up with the coffee refills. Banter was light, but they already had regulars they would chat with. Coffee is Omar's so it's standard diner drip. Ordered their loaded French toast with banana, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Food came in relatively quickly. Presentation was nice, they tried to make it look fancier and I appreciate the touch. The French toast itself was okay. Not soaked enough and lacking cinnamon. Looks like they used fresh bread which lead to the egg ring. Banana was ripe and ice cream was not frost bitten. Quality of the ice cream was good, not a local brand but tasty enough and a good temperature contrast. Whipped cream was out of a can but not bad either. The price was a little high. 13 for 2 pieces of french toast is a little much, but they did try to fancy it up. Bill with coffee and ice cream was 22, which is up there but not too crazy. Since there's isn't a lot around that area for breakfast spots, it will do okay. It's a function local diner, and it matches that expectation to a T.

This is a great option on a Sunday when every other diner seems to close at 1pm?? This diner closes at 3pm snd serves breakfast and lunch. The food was delicious and even though it was cold out the atmosphere was warm.

Vernon diner has always been my favorite for pancakes. Then I found out during Christmas time…read moretheir cheesecake is delicious and my favorite if I want to over do it. I was craving breakfast, I typically don't want it but today I got the Irish Benedict with corn beef hash and blueberry pancakes. Service was amazing and the food came out fresh, hot, and fast. We were able to eat and leave within 45 minutes to make it to my son's soccer practice. Looking at all the desserts always interest me and I say I'll bring a slice home for later. By the time I finished my meal I no longer want the cheesecake. I need to come here just for the cheesecake and nothing else. Taste better than Cheesecake Factory for sure.

The waiter was not focused on us at all, non attentive, non personal, and not friendly at all. After the food was brought out he never came back to ask how everything was, if we needed anything, and more water... nothing!! And one of the dishes was incomplete and we never had the chance to tell him. Finally a manager came over and we expected at least the incomplete dinner bill to be removed from the bill. She told us "it isn't the restaurants policy to do that"! After we became forceful and persistent she agreed to a partial deletion.

Our only complaint was how loud it was, but the waitress willingly moved our table to a quieter spot. It was too hot to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful gardens. A perfect excuse to return.

I should've taken a picture. It would say much more than my words. Either way, my wife ordered the…read moreberry pancake special and it was incredibly good. I ordered two poached eggs, bacon, and home fries. The bacon was fine, a little chewy but some people like that. The home fries, again, fine. But, the eggs we cold and disgusting. Poached eggs, by their very nature, are cooked uniformly. Unlike fried eggs, they are submerged in water and cooked all the way around. These eggs came back with uncooked whites that resembled mucus. I'm sure the eggs were sitting there, waiting on the other orders to be fulfilled. Not wanting to be a hassle, I plowed through, scooping the cold uncooked whites to the side and discovered a piece of not so small egg shell in it. I told the waitress there was an egg shell in the eggs, they were a bit undercooked and cold. Instead of receiving an apology or accommodations, she said she'll share the info with the owner. I was then given an excuse as to why there was an egg shell in the eggs "we use farm fresh eggs and they're very fragile". I use farm fresh eggs at home, they are fragile. It doesn't take more than a moment to remove the shell before cooking and serving it to a customer. She didn't remove the meal from the ticket or discount it and she never apologized. Like I said, just an excuse. All that being said, the place is beautiful, indoors and outside. My wife's pancake was delicious. I'm sure many things on the menu are delicious. They also seemed short staffed. And I won't wright a place off because of one meal and one server. Could be an off day for the chef/cook. The server isn't a always an indicator of the restaurant's values. I do wish she was more accommodating - especially at those prices - but it could've been a perfect storm of being short staffed, rushed cook, and a server that doesn't care.

Quality is still good, price and portion are askew…read more We came here as a quick sandwich bite on our way around the state. Service was good, and the ambiance is still lively. The still tastes good, with some exceptions. The frier oil seemed burnt, so the pickle chips we had just had that little bit of carbon taste on them. The pickle chips batter was very thick, and the mayo was the only respite. The sandwich, still tasty, seemed much smaller than normal, the meat still had good flavor, but the portion was lighter in comparison. The prices are also a bit high. The sandwich coming out to about 15 bucks. The bargain is very much gone now, and the portion is okay for a sandwich but pricy because of this shrinkage. Not shown are the overcooked onion rings. We returned those and the server promptly removed them from the bill. So really good customer service. I opted for a brownie for dessert, and the brownie was a disappointment. Too sugary, no flavor, gummy, and disappointingly small and thin. A detractor for sure. As a deli, it feels like it's on the decline. I know things are pricier now, but what you pay vs what you get doesn't match up. I'm hoping they pivot from this path, but right now it's no longer my go-to. It's still tasty, just pricy
