We went there for early dinner around 6 pm and the place was already half full. We ordered Nachos for appetizer! It was generous amount of meat. Big scoop of guacamole and sour cream. We ordered Chimichanga and the Trio. The food tasted fresh. The meat was well seasoned. The service was great! We sat outside and it was really nice. Kids friendly and plenty of space to park your car. Really enjoyed our time there.

We visited the restaurant on Mother's Day. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. We ordered the combo fajita, steak, fajita, steak burritos, a margarita, drop beer. It was so beautiful and the weather was perfect that we sat outside. Recommend this restaurant!

When I moved to Frederick I wanted to try one of their many Mexican restaurants. The service here was pretty good as far as the server goes. He was attentive and checked on us regularly. Now the food is a different story. We went on a Sunday around 12pm and were one of about 5-6 customers in the restaurant. The food took about 30 mins (my order plus my kids ordered basic hard shell tacos) but no worries as I wasn't in a hurry. My food was awful as it had zero seasoning (very very bland) and everything I had was cold in the middle (were these perhaps microwaved as the plate was very hot). The crazy part is we spent well over $75 (also had some interesting Queso as an app that was very watery and lacked flavor). I would not recommend this place if want good food, especially for the price. There are far better options locally. Very disappointed.

Tried this place for the first time today. I ordered the marisco saltado and it was delicious! My husband had the chicken fajitas and that was also tasty though the portion was a bit small. The frozen strawberry margaritas were great. I would definitely come back.

Went out to lunch with my coworkers. The food was very scrumptious. I loved the many vegan options. The service was quick and accommodating. Our waitress was very attentive. The atmosphere was nice, clean, and can accommodate any event. I definitely recommend this place.

Best tasting Mexican food I have experienced in a very long time. The steak in the burrito was cooked perfectly, and tasted great. Every ingredient tasted as it should. The salsa was not as I expected, but it was fantastic - very fresh tasting. If I get a chance - I WILL come back. The waitress was nice - Katarina. The service was quick and friendly.

We stumbled upon this place on the way home from a road trip. Not the best impression from the outside, until you pull in the parking lot and see the outdoor seating which looks rather cozy. We stepped inside to the smell of fajitas and a smoky grill. A very spacious dining space provided seating options for couples, small groups as well as large groups. Our server was friendly. The food took a little longer than I'd like but, you know, the wait will be worth it, right? The food itself was fine. Nothing fancy, not great, and I think I'm being kind here. Rather than pick apart each issue lll just say, it was ok. Prices are definitely high given the mediocrity of the food. I am curious about some of the other dishes, and there were a handful of regulars in attendance which tell me they keep coming back for something. I don't frequent Frederick often, so it's probably a one and done for me

My sister brought me to this place to have dinner. You walk in and the place has linen on the tables - definitely not a normal quick Mexican restaurant vibe. When you walk in - you are quickly introduced to their dessert case - they looked so very delightful. Some members in the party were observing no desserts during Lent - so we didn't get to try any of them - but many looked to be house-made. We were quickly seated and I was pleasantly surprised that the menu had some authentic Spanish and Mexican dishes. There were the traditional - tacos, fajitas, and enchiladas - but we opted for some of the authentic looking dishes - like Masitas De Puerco and the Poc Chuc Yucateco. All very delicious and flavorful. I did notice that they had daily entree specials and my sister had gotten beef tacos for Taco Tuesday. One thing observed - portions were large - enough where i had leftovers the next day. The establishment is very kid friendly - we had 3 kids in tow and each all had their entree pick and drink. Look forward to returning on another visit.

Ordered the Empanada tasting which is one steak, chicken and sausage. A few minutes later the u inspired server brings 2 of the same flavor when there should have been 3 different flavors. The manager corrected the issue and we started tasting and sampling and quickly realized that there wasn't much flavor to any of them and the sauce tasted like it had sat open in the refrigerator for weeks. One bite of each was enough to stop eating them! Then along came dinner..... Lomo Saltado and it was more disappointing than the appetizers! The steak chunks were not seasoned, the dish was very dry and the fries and vegetables were not seasoned. This meal doesn't even rate 1 star and they should be ashamed of their service and products!! Overall my review says don't eat at Mayta's!! It was a complete waste of money and time!! Horrible service and food!!

The food, they have a great lunch option and we took advantage of that, an app, main dish, and drink for $18 Their empanadas were 5/5, great filling and flavor, nice crunch/flakey dough and I would 100% recommend. The meats, now y'all know, if you have been reading any of my reviews that I like my steak/meats a particular sort of way. just to preference! I got their Lomo saltado and the steak was TOUGH, not uneatable tough, but tough enough to not really enjoy my meal. But besides the meat being tough, I couldn't really taste the aji amarillo flavor and didn't have much flavor in general, just a little salty. The fries were great crispy on the bottom and were prepared well. For a dish that's almost $30, they should use a better cut of meat. overall, not a great experience 2/5. My wife got their steak skewers and similarly, the meat was too tough, and didn't' have too much flavor. also very mid. Overall, the place was cute but just lacking in terms of their food. I would maybe go back to try more things (but really to eat their empanadas) but with almost spending $70 for pretty terrible main course meals was unfortunate.

Our server was excellent--friendly, organized, and very mindful of our need to finish in time for the show. She handled separate checks, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was the highlight. We ordered full brunch meals, and everyone enjoyed their dishes. The house-made chorizo, flavorful sauces, and Eggs Benedict (with the option of a fresh biscuit instead of an English muffin) were especially good. Overall, we had a great experience. Based on current reviews something has obviously happened. The server was nice and pleasant and the ability to sit outside is nice. The steak burrito meat literally looked like chopped steakums not an actual cut of steak. We haven't been this disappointed in a long time. Cafe bueno was no bueno. They are charging just as much as some of the other mid to high end Mexican restaurants so you can definitely do better in Frederick.

(If you're celiac or have an intolerance to gluten, you'll know what I'm talking about. Pro tip: Get at least one extra sauce for your arepa. The Domino comes with one container of their avocado sauce, and remembering how I scraped out every morsel the last time, I ordered two.
