After asking for a massage for several months because of a sport related pain in my lower back, my mom got me an appointment with Marianne Stone LMT. I was SO excited! When I arrived it was everything and more that I had expected! Right off the bat she was extremely friendly; I felt like I had known her before, it was so easy to converse with her! The office was immaculate and orderly, and also very open. When I walked into the massage room, the scent of lavender pulled me in. Painted a soothing sage green, the walls made the space seem very relaxing and home-y; not like a doctors office. The bed was so comfortable I wanted to stay and take a nap after! The heated blanket was a nice touch as well. After having so much pain for a long time, this massage was just what I need. After I left I already wanted to plan my next visit! Overall, Marianne was personable, respectful of pressure and pain tolerance, accommodating, and all around down to earth. On my first visit to Marianne Stone I was thrilled to find an excellent massage in a pleasant environment. Referred by my Chiropractor, Marianne was an excellent ending to a stressful holiday season. What did I remember about my massage with Marianne? First, Marianne is personable, but not invasive. She has the right temperament and bedside manor for a comfortable visit. Next, Marianne asks and listens--this is not always the case with massage or other personal service providors. She said, "this is your time." She was right--I made it my time to ask and request what I needed and received it. Third, Marianne has awesome hands with strength and tenderness. She is thorough and offers the right balance of pressure and therapy. If it is too hard or strong, just ask her to cut down a bit. Not a problem. My final assessment: I will be back. I was very pleased with my recent massage by Marianne Stone. This was my first time meeting her, and she made me feel very comfortable. She is very outgoing and friendly, but not intrusive. She said she would follow my lead if I wanted to talk during the massage or not. We did talk for awhile, but when I was ready for silence, she respected that as well.
